I've never lived there. Never been through the program. But I've worked WITH this program for years. I know it's a beautiful thing to witness as an outsider. Off the needle for 4 years on 6/28!!! Methadone maintanence saved my life! It was my 7th time going to a rehab facility. Soboxone never worked for me and I was terrified of the detox process. Methadone doesn't stop you from having withdrawal symptoms when you first start MAT. But it makes the transition so much easier and keeps you maintained it also controls the cravings.
It's not a super fancy top notch place but it's a good program and Western KY Medical executes it well. This place saved my life and I am eternally grateful!! ♡♡♡

Some will say this is "legal drug pushers" but that couldn't be farther from the truth. This place saved me. You get a weekly counseling session as well as other support. Insurance is taken here and you don't have to worry about looking for illegal stuff or missing work and family because of your addiction. This place works

The entire staff from the lady answering the call on intake to the doctors and therapists, they all have your best interest in mind and are there to help and MAKE SURE you improve your quality of life with sobriety. Tim Byrum has been the greatest therapist anyone could ask for. I highly recommend him as a Therapist and Journey pure as a facility. I never thought i'd be at 31 days sober but here I am and IM PROUD OF IT!

The group therapist Tim Byrum is hands down the best group therapist this facility has. He goes above and beyond for the people in the group and I truly felt connected with the group and Tim when attending his group. I’ve tried other therapist at Journey pure but there wasn’t a lot of involvement with others and the connection and trust wasn’t there like it was with Tim. Journey pure has a true asset having Tim and other therapist there could really learn a lot from Tim. Groups with Tim felt like family lots of involvement you never felt alone and he really taught me a lot and made things easy to understand more so taught me to take a step back and look at the bigger picture and the knowledge I learned in just the few days I was in his group I will carry with me in this long journey of sobriety thank you Tim for everything!!

Had great experiences with Elizabeth Cowart as my Dr. until she left with absolutely no notice. I went back to see a new Dr, Jim Harper who seemed very attentive in the appointment yet didn’t fill any of my prescriptions like he said he would, didn’t contact me back regarding switching some of my medication, and had me calling the office myself every few days to try and get updates. I spoke to a nurse who agreed the treatment I was receiving was lacking and unfair and told me she would have the medical director reach out to me on Monday 11/24, who of course didn’t. Switching meds has been hard for me and when I set my initial appointment with him, it was to make sure we could discuss all options. He told me he needed me to call the lab to get my test results (even though I had the tests done to determine which meds would work best for me in that very same office and they had the records) and to bring the results back to him since he couldn’t “find them” in the system. The nurse let me know she found them easily and he just didn’t look hard enough. When I called back to ask if he had reviewed the results to decide on which meds to switch me to, the nurse said he still hadn’t seen them and she would remind him. 30 mins later I got a refill notification for a new med in my Walgreens app. He had called me in a new medication without giving me any info on how to start it, how I need to take it, how to stop taking my current meds, etc. I received no guidance. My initial appointment with him was on November 8th. It’s now the 26th with no answers still. They’ve shown me they don’t care about their patients. I’m beyond frustrated. I will not be returning, which saddens me because Elizabeth was an amazing doctor and so were all of her nurses.
