This place will always be a second home to me. It's not easy and the weak that dont want sobriety will leave or get kicked out. But if you put your all into this place and concentrate on healing yourself, it's the best decision you could ever make for yourself. I was healed of a 15 year drug addiction i never thought would be possible.... And so many other things. My true friends are a part of thus place and most of us still support each other. I've never lived there. Never been through the program. But I've worked WITH this program for years. I know it's a beautiful thing to witness as an outsider. To see the change in faces from week to week is amazing. I get to witness the residents grow and change. I can tell you that every service and supper we have with this group is an absolute blessing.
This time of year is traumatizing to many of us that live alone. As for me, I think of those that I love that are no longer with me. All I have is time to think, and lots of it. This year I got so depressed and had such overwhelming anxiety, that I turned to look for help. I've never felt such strong depression and anxiety ever before.
