I love LAR. I went there following the covid lockdown once places started Opening up. I was in rough shape. They nursed me back to health. Mentally with groups and 1 on 1 therapy. Physical exercise with revive and the motivation to move a muscle and change a though. Spiritually with their holistic approach to healing. I learned to step out of my comfort zone there because there was no judgement. I learned peactices that I still utilize till this day. Meditation, yoga, reiki, acupuncture etc. And they have a boat. Doing a group on the boat was one of the most memorable moments in treatment for me. Recovery is a journey. And I'm grateful that Lake Ave Recovery has been a huge part of my journey.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) facilitate clients' sustained sobriety through high-level care aligned with their evolving needs. Clients engage in multiple treatment sessions per week, typically receiving between nine and 20 hours of outpatient care weekly. The frequency and intensity of treatment gradually decreases as clients stabilize. Many intensive outpatient rehabs offer a variety of services, including addiction counseling, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT). Evidence-based complementary therapies are also common.

Outpatient programs are designed for clients who are medically stable and not at an elevated risk of relapse, including those who have already completed inpatient care. Outpatient programs typically advance clients' established treatment plans, offering continuing addiction counseling and recovery education. Clients who enter outpatient care immediately following detox may also receive medical and mental health assessments and personalized treatment plans. Most outpatient rehabs provide multiple levels of care to align with clients' unique needs.

Treatments

A person who has alcohol use disorder (alcoholism) builds up a physical tolerance to alcohol. If they try to stop drinking, they experience withdrawal symptoms. Treatment is available for this condition, through alcohol rehab in Massachusetts. Treatment options include AA, detox, counseling, medication, residential programs, and outpatient treatment. Social and family support systems are crucial during and after treatment of any kind.

Addiction is a highly complex problem, and drug rehab in Massachusetts is often necessary to address it. These programs treat physical, mental, and relational issues that are involved. Treatment empowers individuals to manage these issues without the use of drugs.

In Massachusetts, dual-diagnosis addiction treatment programs provide specialized care for individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Levels of care include detox, residential drug and alcohol rehab, and outpatient programs. Each program and level of care includes a comprehensive assessment, individualized treatment plan, and evidence-based therapies, like cognitive behavioral therapy, or dialectical behavioral therapy. You'll also attend recovery support groups, receive family counseling, and beneficial skills training to help you promote your mental health and sustain long-term recovery.

Mental health services are essential during treatment for drug and alcohol addiction, whether you receive treatment in an inpatient or outpatient setting. While receiving inpatient care, you can expect to have round-the-clock access to mental health therapists and medical staff. Additionally, you will likely receive a number of different therapies and mental health options like individual and group counseling, addiction and relapse prevention education, and coping skills training.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

During cognitive behavioral therapy in Massachusetts, clients work with a trained counselor to identify negative thinking patterns and change them. This change in thinking has been shown to lead to changes in behavior to treat substance use and mental health disorders effectively.

If you are experiencing intense, negative emotions, dialectical behavior therapy can help you learn how to regulate painful emotions and manage the interpersonal situations that generate them. This method is often used during substance use treatment in Massachusetts to help you develop better coping skills and avoid relapse.

Group therapy is a safe space for participants to share their stories and experiences within a confidential and judgment free environment. You have the opportunity to openly discuss your difficulties and create a network of community support that can extend long after group therapy sessions end.

Therapists in Massachusetts offer individual therapy in a confidential setting to help you explore the complex factors that have contributed to your drug addiction. Using a tailored approach, your therapist supports you and utilizes evidence based treatment modalities to help you develop healthier thought patterns and behaviors. This builds a foundation for enduring sobriety.

Trauma therapy addresses the psychological impact of experiencing a traumatic event. You can also experience mental and emotional injury after witnessing a trauma. By identifying what triggers those responses and developing effective coping mechanisms, you can rebuild a sense of safety and trust in your environment.

OMG really don’t know where to begin, every single one of the staff members there are genuinely caring, understanding, hands-down awesome people they make you feel safe there’s no judging. The facility is super nice comfortable, The different activities are just amazing from being on the lake or at the park to meditation, yoga, Reiki and definitely cannot forget revive, So much things to do, not only is the staff awesome the clients also. I attended LAR for about 10 months. I absolutely love it there. It was a very safe place, I felt very comfortable there. I had a lot of eye opening moments, Anytime I had a problem or craving I can always turn to my clinician and all the other clinicians there. Without LAR, I’m not sure where would I be today?. I’m coming up on a year clean. I am currently working As a Recovery specialist, I’m feeling great. My kids are happy. I don’t know what else I can ask for, so thank you everyone at LAR.

I started PHP at Lake Ave Recovery the day after being discharged from inpatient treatment, and I truly cannot say enough about this place. The staff are incredible and make you feel welcome the second you walk in the door. Their holistic approach to recovery is remarkable. Most places stick you in a room and run groups all day, but Lake Ave offers Acupuncture, Meditation, Reiki, Revive, Yoga and so much more. My clinician Frankie met with me every week and she was amazing, as are all of the clinicians! I was in rough shape and this place not only saved my life, but also helped me find my voice again. I graduated the program 5 months later and I still attend their alumni group once a month. I love Lake Ave Recovery and it will always be the first recommendation to anyone struggling and in need of extra support.

Response from the owner

It has been a privilege to watch your growth from the day you walked through our doors after inpatient treatment to where you are today. We’re so grateful that you trusted us during such an important time in your recovery journey.

Frankie and the entire team will be touched by your kind words. Your willingness to do the work, stay engaged, and continue showing up for yourself has been inspiring to witness. We are especially happy to hear that you’ve found your voice again—that is one of the greatest gifts recovery can bring!

Thank you for recommending Lake Ave Recovery to others. We are incredibly proud of everything you’ve accomplished and can't wait to see you at the next Alumni event!
