YOU CAN TELL THAT THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT PART OF THEIR LIVES! AND THE PATIENTS ARE A LOT MORE MATURE, AND VERY KIND TO EACH OTHER. Thanks to EVERYONE...Sean, Wolf, Liam, Brady, Ryan, Britney, Henry, Mathew, Jenn, MS. My experience with Rockland has been absolutely life‑changing. I’m deeply grateful for the support, guidance, and community Rockland provides. The Rockland experience is more than just a program-- it’s a community that is whole, thoughtful, and deeply human. Being part of something larger than myself has offered a sense of connection and belonging that was the missing piece. I am beyond grateful I’ve been able to build the foundation I needed to actually see a future for myself. I’ve learned to truly love my recovery and life. I now have the opportunity to move forward with authentic clarity, strength, and trust in myself.

A truly amazing place staffed with kind, caring, wonderful, professional, fun, generous, thoughtful, and highly-skilled staff (I could go on) who are experts in ED recovery. My therapist at Laurel Hill is by far the best therapist I have ever had — I learned so much from her and am still in awe of how she challenged me and ED narratives. The clinical director treats clients like family and invests her time and energy into each and every one of us — she spent her Christmas holiday with clients baking cookies, enjoying holiday kareoke, and other festivities that she planned for us… it was a special holiday, filled with so much love and support. The nursing staff are SO cool and kind. The RCs are absolutely the best.. I don’t know how they do such a specialized and demanding job and do it SO well, all while getting to become so close with the clients.
I would 100% recommend this place to anyone struggling with an eating disorder. I had lost hope when I entered treatment, and now I look forward to the day when I can say I am fully recovered, because thanks to the LH team, I know that day will come.

The nurses are Top Knots and unusually helpful and resourceful. The counselors that exist are all fair and kind, but constant short staffing and management issues cause a great place to only get a good rating. This is a for-profit clinic, so the higher up the management chain one goes, the further away an addict in recovery is from recovery. Unfortunately this company owns most of the clinics in the area, so one does not have a choice. This is also not unusual. There is no handicapped accessible entrance. You can go in the back way, around the back of the hospital, but you still have to walk a very good distance to the front door, and once inside it's very small so a person with mobility issues is going to struggle. I don't suggest anyone with mobility issues goes to this Clinic. He Corrections Officers in the back of the hospital, they have an entrance for the prisoners there. There is constant clashing with the handicapped clients and the Corrections Officers because there's no real protocol for handicapped patients. But overall this is a good place. Small, and they don't put up with any of the usual nonsense that goes on.( There are very few drug deals if at all that will go on here!). The security guard is top-notch as well and is very fair but firm. If you are not looking for Recovery, I suggest you go somewhere else because you won't last long here. I've had some personal issues with the take-home protocol as well as the short staffing resulting in treatment plans not being effectively instituted, but again this is management and has nothing to do with the day to day staff.

For youth daily, and virtual IOP for adults. There evening virtual IOP was wonderful, super informative and engaging. There is always a clincian available to speak with in a break out room. They check in with you individually at least 1 a week if needed. Adrianna the Director is amazing, highly intelligent, empathetic, and supportive. She carries that down with her team. I’ve been here for 15 plus years and my counselor Paul goes above and beyond for his patients. Most of the staff has been here for years and they’re great. If you follow the rules and keep your head down, mind your buisness you’ll have no issues with this place… some people have complaints but those are usually the people who do whatever they want and tend to forget how lucky we are to have this place. The photos aren’t from this clinic. I don’t know what clinic those are from. It’s a clean place though and constantly updated.

I went to this place a few years ago and yes it was very helpful I made life long friends and memories. But I felt that the way they helped me was not setting me up for a long lasting recovery. The way they helped me get better again was mostly through medication and yes I loved my therapist Wally I just feel like they could have gone through it in better ways. Beside that I loved all the staff the food was great the staff was very helpful and this wouldn’t be my first recommendation but maybe my second. Special shout out to my fav RCs Chloe and jj

Eating disorder treatment was honestly the hardest thing I've ever had to endure in my life, but at the same time, CEDC is also one of the best things that ever happened to me. I have a lot to say about this place — it's definitely not perfect, and I have some suggestions — but overall, I'm so so grateful for everything this place has done for me. I was in CEDC's residential facility on the adolescent floor (ages 12-18) from October 2023 to January 2024, so some of this commentary might be outdated!
First of all, the place was very clean and cozy. There were cleaners daily, and the whole place was generally very homey. I also adored the community there. The RC's (residential counselors) were all so sweet. I still think about them all the time. They were typically college-aged and so fun to talk to. None of them were ever unkind to me, and I instantly became friends with most of them. The other kids who were there at the same time as me were AMAZING. We have a huge group chat now, and still FaceTime and text to this day. We are planning a fun Thanksgiving reunion, and I can't want to see them. It was such a blessing and a privilege to be able to heal with these people. However, if everyone there is isolating/struggling and not ready to heal, that can also impact your recovery. I was lucky to be there with people who were motivated and friendly, which may not always be the case.
The group room was also about as great as you can ask for. It's a common area for patients to hang out all day (at least, from 7 AM to 11 PM). There was a TV, couches, a big table with chairs, cards, board games, art projects and other crafts. I spent almost all of my time in the group room with the others, just because there was always something to do. There are also lots of blankets, and it's generally a very living room-esque area that I loved hanging out with the others in.
I also loved the food. There's an extensive list of snacks to choose from, and if you ever want something else, you can request it on your menu, and the dietitians will purchase it for you! I did this whenever I was craving certain snacks from home that I loved. You can even ask for milkshakes/smoothies, and once you have permission to help prep your snacks, you can add any toppings you want! My friends and I would often order milkshakes on the same days so that we could decorate them in the kitchen together. You can also help prep your own meals sometimes on the weekends, and even cook/bake with Joan! Meals were always fun (though a bit lengthy), and the group typically chats and plays games (wavelength, 20 questions, etc). If you're not in the mood for that, the RC who is sitting in to monitor will put on some music and everyone can relax and eat.
There was a range in the amount of kids on the adolescent floor, and for a while there was about 4-6 of us, though later on in my stay there ended up being about 7-8. I only had a roommate toward the end of my stay - for the majority of my time there, I had my own space, which was great.
Here are my suggestions. First of all, I really wanted more time with my family. You had an hour-long visit each week, you could earn an extra hour or two per week by eating, and I also had an opportunity to call home each day during tech time. This may seem like a lot, but only being able to hug my parents once or twice a week was really rough and I felt very isolated. I also think that CEDC is all about healing your relationship with food, which is great, but since they don't "force" you to eat like at other treatment centers, it can allow patients to listen to their eating disorders a bit. In the end, it benefitted me because I made the journey on my own without it being shoved down my throat, which made it more impactful, but sometimes those who are very sick just need to eat. The reliance on self-accountability can allow patients to perpetuate those behaviors if they don't want to heal yet.
FINAL NOTE: don't listen to all the horrible one-star reviews!! If you have extra questions, email me at marleym1@icloud.com and I'll share!

Riverside has changed my life I cannot speak for no one else but Riverside has became my family, I was lost. I still make mistakes but riverside never gave up on me even when I did! It’s hard work but like they say you can bring a horse to the water but can’t make him drank it! You have to want to change. After almost 4 years of trial, error going to hospitals. It added up and I have a beautiful apartment, a good head on my shoulders, and the power to know that I can change tomorrow there is hope. That is what I’ve learned from them, for not giving up on me that life is hard, stressful!! But you are stronger because you been through all that and still here. Thank you riverside I’m so grateful even though your probably tired of hearing me say it all the time. Thank you so much! The love from you guys is overwhelming it’s Foreign to me because I never experienced that feeling. I just want to share my story! ❤️

Staff was great except 1 wont give people that dont miss a group and do what they have to do there out dates after being there almost 30 days but will give the guys that dont do anything i mean nothing there out date after 14 days and lets them leave in 21 to 25 days he should treat everyone the same. Other than that all the staff was great for my 35 days there some go above and beyond when they dont have to the food absolutely sucks for the amount of money our insurance pays for us to be there the food should be way better. The nurses on unit 2 are more than great courtney Amanda shawna meghan to name a few amd the rest of them treated me with the up most respect give them a raise. The groups could be a little better seemed like we were learning the same stuff over and over each day. But other than that if i was to ever have a relapse again i would definitely go back there....i give 4.5 stars out of 5..
