Starting off at a new place sometimes is difficult. But not at Brightview from the moment , I walked through the door. I felt welcomed, I had staff that advocated for me, to make sure . I received the treatment, I needed outside of Brightview. So that showed me. that . I wasn't alone . that people were listening . But the most amazing thing, I've witnessed, Is that the staff knew everyone by name. almost like on a personal basis. I could go on an on . I'm going to be moving on to another program. This new program. has some pretty big shoes to fill !!!

First off it was a good place when you first start going but if you say the wrong word or look at someone in a different way your the problem. If you stand up for yourself or stand up for your friends they kick you out. Half the food they serve is rotten. Staff (besides Sam, Jen, mark, and autumn) very sarcastic towards clients. They also target and stack things up on specific people. They do not clean the shelters. The bathrooms REAK of piss 24/7. Staff doesn’t assure “safety” inside the place, kids/adults do drugs in the bathroom and the staff will see someone stealing and not say a word.

IRRESPONSIBLE!!!!! Providing excessive meds without any requirement to engage in support services. Extreme responses to meds without any concern by SMH. This past year he experienced psychosis due to the meds, that were ultimately evaluated by NHH as being prescribed in extreme doses. We thought our son had developed schizophrenia and in fact it was all due to the over prescribed meds. He did not have any diagnosis as such. He continues to get the meds without any concern for his well being or support.

I got stationed there after tech school 1969 - 1971 and loved it before going to Vietnam. The fishing was great. We lived in Dover FoxCroft for a little over a year then moved into base housing at Dow Air Force base and left for Vietnam end of October 71. People were great and really enjoyed those 2 years.

Unfortunately at one point I was a prisoner here, as in I made a bad decision. On that note Charleston really helped they weren't treating me like a criminal they treated me like some one who just needed guidance.
They have a job to do it's our faults we are in there; weather its we actually committed the crime, or just being around the wrong people at the wrong time.
Those are the decisions we made they helped me realize that. That being said some crimes committed, (having heard the stories, and deducing a percentage of them lie to you and some actually do tell the truth.) were committed for reasons justified. justified is not always law abiding.
This facility has good people creating and working with inmates to have good programs in place and jobs to work and make money. Remember in a place like prison the experience is what you make it so if your negative your outcome is negative if you are positive your outcome is positive.

I am thankful that Maine Behavioral Health is operating in Skowhegan. There are not enough medication clinics in Maine and MBHO fills a need. The staff at the med clinic are professional and willing to coordinate with case managers and clinicians to get clients needs met. The building is lovely and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. horrible. needs to be under investigation immediately, rude and immature staff who talk about inappropriate things infront of patients and the doctors and security are incredibly rude and unprofessional. They let patients sit in the waiting rooms for 10+ hours without a care in the world even if the patient is in critical condition and have no respect at all. Went into the ER at this hospital with a buddy of mine on a saturday, there was almost no other patients ahead of us he told the very crotchety older woman why he was there, she immediately responded with and i kid you not "good luck, its the weekend", i repeat this was at the EMERGENCY ROOM, i honestly thought i heard her wrong and tried to give her the benefit of the doubt as i know what health care professionals do is an incredibly hard job and they are constantly understaffed. Then she unwarranted doubled down a couple seconds later by repeating, "its the weekend so good luck" i was honestly waiting for Ashton Kutcher to jump out and tell us we got punked and then lead us to the actual doctors, and from what my buddy said when he got in a room to actually see someone it was an equally astonishly ridiculous experience. They looked at his picc line and when he asked them to clean the site and install a piece she said have your nurse do it next time they see you. The doctor however was incredibly kind and professional and made a point to see him promptly, so big ups to him. If i could make a recommendation, if you have an actual emergency in this area pay the extra 10-20 bucks on an Uber and wait the extra hour and go to Boston, or even an urgent care if near by.

This program is legal human trafficking. They make u work for $10 a week, provide no science backed therapies. They work people until they drop because you can’t think about substances when you’re exhausted and they give no life skills. They do so so that the person will relapse within a year and end up back at the facility so they will forever have free labor in their warehouses. Just do a google search on the lawsuits for broken labor laws and unfair wages at their rehab programs

A truly amazing place staffed with kind, caring, wonderful, professional, fun, generous, thoughtful, and highly-skilled staff (I could go on) who are experts in ED recovery. My therapist at Laurel Hill is by far the best therapist I have ever had — I learned so much from her and am still in awe of how she challenged me and ED narratives. The clinical director treats clients like family and invests her time and energy into each and every one of us — she spent her Christmas holiday with clients baking cookies, enjoying holiday kareoke, and other festivities that she planned for us… it was a special holiday, filled with so much love and support. The nursing staff are SO cool and kind. The RCs are absolutely the best.. I don’t know how they do such a specialized and demanding job and do it SO well, all while getting to become so close with the clients.
I would 100% recommend this place to anyone struggling with an eating disorder. I had lost hope when I entered treatment, and now I look forward to the day when I can say I am fully recovered, because thanks to the LH team, I know that day will come.

My son completed the Summit achievement program. He’s turned out to be an incredible young man. I can say 100% without a doubt that he and we as a family may not even exist today without the help of the Summit Achievement family. My wife and our therapist were pushing hard and I was skeptical at first. However, this program and the incredible team changed the trajectory of our lives together. I am confident when I say we could not have survived without this program. Don’t hesitate like I did! Eternally grateful to the Summit family!

. i stayed 11 weeks in 2015 and while i was there i went from being unable to control myself physically or mentally to becoming a group leader, extremely passionate and the most physically/mentally strong i possibly could at my age of 15. to this day i still think of the mountains i climb, lessons i learned and just the full on experience of all of it combined. an amazing place i was blessed to experience and would reccomend looking into for anyone who needs a change in life.

I have been on the clinic 2015 & it has helped me on my road to recovery. I am addicted to opiates(pills) & have not abused them since I've been on clinic, I also gave up drinking alcohol when got on clinic. The "dosing" nurses are great nurses,. They're very friendly, care n have lots of patience to deal with addicts everyday. The receptionist(s),doctor & councilors are awesome too. I've had many councilors since been here & always been happy them. The hours are good during the week but during the wknd rhey should stay open longer(some of us come a long way & durning bad weather it hard to get there before 10am)

I see so much hate being projected on the reviews here. This place honestly saved my life, This place and people are the Reason why I am off of dope. There are a few things that could change though,One of the crappiest Things Are, When you Finally Make it to the clinic,Sometimes on Saturday there is a Enormous line out the door all the way around the building. Other than that it's an amazing safe place.
Well I forgot one thing. This is my 3rd counselor which I hope they don't keep leaving.
