My stay at Pine Grove was as close to perfect as a facility can get. My nurses were all very caring, attentive, and helpful. It is because of my night nurse that I made it through my first night and continued with the program. I arrived in a state of panic that I’ve lived with for the last 5-6 years, and by day three I was feeling like a normal human again. My psychiatrist, Dr. Bossi, is absolutely wonderful. I was recently in the Gratitude program and can confidently say that it saved my life. I came in hopeless and discouraged with recovery and left with more hope for the future than I thought was possible. I was impressed from the beginning when they gave me a set of workbooks on sex addiction upon arrival. The nature of the program being tailored to sex addiction made it a million times more powerful and effective than either of the dual diagnosis or general addiction treatment programs I'd gone to before. I really appreciated how structured and rigorous it was as the weekly projects and assignments allowed me to go much deeper than I would have been able to without them. The therapists are all phenomenal and are true professionals at what they're doing. Even the interns/externs I worked with were amazing. On top of everything, insurance covered all 75 days I was there. I will be forever grateful for my time at Pine Grove.

I was transferred from hell called MS State hospital to here in October of 2009. My stay lasted until June of 2010. I walked I and thought this place was going to be like the rest. I was wrong. This place saved my life. The third shift were loud and obnoxious and a few of the first and second shift staff were, in my opnion, not meant to be there. The therapist, phychiatrist, "the board", and everything else was different. Most of the people there would go out of there way to help you. The one on one time, walking around outside talking to a trusted staff member, the nurses were amazing and patient, especially Nurse Scott. They helped me obtain my GED. If this place is still the same as is was when I was there, I would HIGHLY recommend this place. I wish they had an adult facility because I need the care this place gave me as a teenager. Plus the food was decent too. They made the place feel somewhat like a home than just a facility, which made treatment easier.

DW helped transformed me into where I am today..I personally had a spiritual awakening on Dec 17th , 2025. I on my own free will admitted myself with the help of my support team to DW on Jan. 10th, 2026. I had been on this exact same program years ago and actually moved out of state is the reason I had stopped before but I just recently came back to the same place and everyone welcomed me with open arms with resources that is offered there for you and they offer counseling as well as other resources to help you stay on a positive recovering path. I’ve been on the program for 12 years, I ve had 3 awesome counselors. I stayed with one for 9 years, without her I wouldn’t have made it. She was in recovery herself, so She understood me. It is pretty bad right now, with the employee turnover rate, and organization with the Hurricane season. But with anything there is good and bad. I am sure they will get it back together soon.People need to understand that they are highly critiqued by federal laws. But as long as you do what your supposed to, you will not have any problems.

I know medical centers—especially VA facilities—can receive mixed reviews, but I want to take a moment to highlight the amazing work and dedication of the staff at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS. I have friends who work here, and I’ve seen firsthand how much they genuinely care about the veterans they serve. Many of the doctors, nurses, and support staff go above and beyond every day, often under challenging circumstances, to make sure veterans are treated with respect, compassion, and dignity. The staff works hard to listen, advocate, and provide the best care possible, and that commitment does not go unnoticed. Our veterans deserve kindness and dedication, and there are many people at this facility who truly deliver that. Im astounded by my growth. I went from homeless to happy. I highly recommend this facility if you want change. This team changed my life. Stina was one of the most phenomenal therapiat and human beings I've ever met. She created safety for me to do the work. Brooke is an astounding cook and gets the job done. Allysa the case manager took me where I needed to go. Tray and Blake got me to my outside meetings. Nurse Faith and Megan made me feel welcomed and loved. Damn this place is good. It do what it do.

A stable suicidal veteran referred by the VA MH Unit arrived on 11/9/25. I wanted change in my life, your place helped clear my head, learned to love myself. I was broken w/ Depression, Anxiety, PTSD and Alcohol substance use disorder. This place tore my walls down, I no longer isolated. I worked the program, I listened and learned to ALL the professional Staff here. I became a miracle and it works if YOU let it. On Dec. 24th I completed my 1st ever program. I'm a success now and you can be too. The food is Amazing, Really!!!

I was thinking about this place today for some reason. I spent 29 days here in 2015 or late 2014. Anyway I remember it was a very good program. The scenery is beautiful and many long walks around the facility. I was glad we could smoke as well. I remember going to the local Catholic Church nearby. Oh yes and the food was delicious. Females were there as well, but no peeking lol. Overall a good place if you wanna sober up and stay off the destructive path.

Love it. They don’t want to see you everyday, they want you to succeed and get your take homes and they make youstill feel like a human and not just a number with a $. If you have to wait more than 10-20 minutes ever from pull up to leaving lot then suck it up and shut your mouth because it’s a rare occurrence and if you have been to other clinics you know how long the wait time is almost daily 😭 just remember that on those blue moon days 😁 But truly they are phenomenal ;each nurse Dr and counselor deserve praise! Thanks To The Team!!!

I work construction out of town a lot,so I've been to a few dozen clinics from Philadelphia PA to Jacksonville FL. By far this facility is 10 times more professional,quick responses for whatever reasons. Cleanest facility, friendliest, caring staff I've dealt with. If you've ever had to guest dose before,it can be a nightmare!! Maybe you didn't have any problems,but I have with other clinics. Not this one! They'll make sure you get the best help possible. I would never go anywhere else.WARNING! If you're not serious about sobriety then you may prefer the other dumps. Still give them a call! They saved my life!! I would love to see more of your bhg facilities in the Mississippi area and maybe have a federal guideline on amount of your dosage for guest dosing because I have been places where there was no problem but I've been to several states like Tennessee and I was taking more than their maximum level and I had to wait 2 weeks for a state approval. Of course I was working and it being 6 hours from my hometown I had to go home one day a week until they got it straight. I wouldn't have waited for 2 days in the waitroom thinking everything was going to be fine if someone would have told me or like I said every state be on the same thing or ar least respect the other states that aren't at the same dosage levels. We still have problems and are paying patients for treatment and I was furious after working 2 nights without and set there from 6 until 12 and then be told come back in the morning maybe we will be heard back from them. Communication is really what needs to be done between the states and the different companies policies.
