I went to SSM for an accidental overdose for 2 weeks on my ADHD stimulants. The following day my symptoms worsened and I called SSM and they informed me that they did not have a Psychiatrist on staff and I was therefore sent to BJC in Wentzville. Thank God!! Everything about this hospital far exceeded my expectations!! When I got there, I was the only person waiting to be seen! The gentleman at the front desk was so kind and even though he was just trying to get a little basic info., he let me rattle on all my symptoms without interrupting me. After a long period of excessive talking, he gently told me that I could talk about all of this with the Psychiatrist, which put me at ease! I was walked back to a private room which has never happened to me and I have been to many hospitals. I didn’t have to go through triage and my vitals were taken in my room by a super caring lady! The security guard came in and he could not have been any nicer!! He told me everything to expect and went through my bags and sent everything out to the car with my husband except my coat and shoes. He indicated that I could not have my med. Box with me which did scare me because historically I have not been given my meds. Until after seeing the doctor and the pharmacist. He could tell I was nervous and requested that the nurse update me on this procedure. She immediately came in and told me that she had my medication list and I would receive all of my meds. On-time. The doctor came to see me within 30 min. And was the nicest and most informative doctor that I have ever had and spent 30 min. With me giving me all the medical recommendations he had as I also had a severe viral infection causing sores all over my mouth, severe body aches, bruises all over my body, including under my eye. I told him what the 1st hospital had recommended I do, and he informed to stop all of it and that it would only irritate my infection, especially all the over-the-counter items I was using. He spoke with the Psychiatrist and came back to see me again after getting the Psychiatrists course of action, and spent another 30 min. With me extensively answering all of my questions. This was rare because I had a lot and at most hospitals you are lucky to get 10-15 questions with the doctor. The nurse was also very helpful getting me an extra pillow and 4 cups of ice chips because it was was the only thing easing the pain in my mouth. I was quickly discharged feeling like my husband, who stayed with me the whole time, and I could manage my treatment plan!! The best hospital I have ever been to and will never go anywhere else, as well as referring anyone I know with a medical or mental health crisis!!!

I have been going here for 4 years, the doctor in the outpatient office is amazing!! The outpatient therapist all of them are also amazing. The staff does their best to help the people that are willing to take the help. They have not only help me with my PTSD, but they’ve helped my youngest son when he needed it most. I am a former client who is grateful today that a place like this exists. The staff showed me nothing but love and support. I chose to not take the opportunity of strengthing my leadership quality they presented me with at that time. But, in doing so I now have a beautiful wife coming up on 5 years of marriage and 2 gorgeous daughters to fit. The Farm changed my life and is breathtaking. Out on this beautiful hill they have a great big old Hickory Tree that is split straight down the middle by a bolt of lightning. This place gave me insight into myself that to this day I can recognize thanks to Mr. Chris, Ms. Chels,Mrs. Chelsea, Rockin Rob, Ms. Chenoa, Mr. Bob of course Mr. CLINT and lastly Ms. KAT. Concordance isn't just a place where people come and sit around. It's a place where people come to learn by receiving new ideas and implementing them in their lives. The program is challenging as it should be wild demanding you to be your absolute best. There are no shortcuts and there are no excuses. Howeve, all of this is complimented with a level of care and consideration by staff who understand the human dilemma as they offer their expertise in wisdom to guide you through it. This is Concordance in essence as it is a place that restores value to the human spirit, the individual an ultimately the community at large. And as a graduate, I encourage anyone who is thinking about becoming a part of the program to do so because you'll find your answers when you least expect them.

Absolutely life saving . This is an amazing program ,with amazing people helping rebuild lives from the ground up . I was homeless while pregnant and addicted to shooting drugs . At 5 months pregnant my heart failed and I was rushed to st. Louis, Missouri, all alone ,pregnant and about to die. Due to my condition that I had created via my addiction . I underwent Open heart surgery .I survived 2 months later in the hospital, no one was waiting for me after my discharge from hospital. I was homeless in a city unknown to me and due to have a baby in a few months .Queen of Peace took me in, and was waiting for me when I got there even paid for me an Uber from hospital to cathedral towers. I have God to thank for giving me Queen of Peace . Thank you .

The staff at the Aviary, particularly the wonderful nurses, were a crucial factor in my experience. The program's structure is solid if you listen, learn and keep an open mind. The group experience was average, although some were much better than others. All in all, I am very grateful that I found a place to heal and clear my mind. I have to say the food is average, and the "barn" needs central air. I had to leave a few times because of the heat. However, I needed help, and I found it here. Jeremy and Casey saved my life and would not let me give up. I'm very grateful to both of them.

Best decision ever! Been in & out of other rehabs & various flavors of anonymous meetings for 20 years, always ending in relapse, over & over. Instead of blaming anxiety & depression, and throwing psych pills at me, The Aviary taught me to look within for the answer. I'm now 18 months into recovery, anxiety & depression are minimal at worst, and all without psych meds. I love it! Go there with humility and an open mind, they will help you find the way to peace of mind, no substance required.

I'm not very computer savvy so I don't write many reviews, but I have to take a minute to tell you about Kenzie and Heather. I've had quite a few social workers and I never had a peer counselor, but they are top notch and people that need to help others in the social worker and peer counseling field. I was always reluctant to have a social worker because I never had help, but since these two I now have hope for the future. They both are excellent and caring workers that want to make a difference in their patients lives. They made me feel safe and that they wanted me know that I could have faith in living each day with meaning in my life. I just wanted to thank both of them for their outstanding and excellent care. I want to also thank you both for letting me talk about anything I wanted to with you guys. I'll never forget you guys. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love you two ❤️❤️❤️

SSM Rehabilitation Hospital has to be the BEST CHOICE for PT and OT in the St. Louis area. I cannot imagine any other facility would be as thorough, caring, and determined to get me back to 'normal' after my surgery and hospital stay. I have to name the EXCELLENT staff by name as the TRUE heroes need to be recognized. First, the outstanding nursing staff; Winnie, Elham, Lem Lem, Krystal, and Shayla (Shay). They were very attentive and never ONCE made me feel that I was 'bothering' them even when I needed them at midnight or noon. The techs that went beyond the call of duty and must be named are Lyn - who was always friendly and smiling. This can make a person's day when spending multiple days in a facility. Also, Lea and An'drea were cheerful and attentive. These employees seem to truly LOVE what they do! Thanks to all them! Thanks to SSM Rehab Hospital for hiring people who really CARE about your patients! Physical Therapy Staff I need to recognize are Megan who was my primary therapist. She was so supportive, understanding, and encouraging. She knew exactly what I needed and 'PUSHED' me to go further and do more than I thought I could! Jeremy and Candace stand out as techs who were there when they were needed and went beyond the call of duty to serve their patients. I will never forget their kindness. The entire staff was so supportive! Amy, my case manager, was very helpful and set up everything for my return home. She was there to keep me informed. At the time of my illness, Amy was working alone as they were short handed in the Case Management department. She was managing everyone on the floor. I'm going to guess there were almost 50 people at that time on the floor. Her management and people skills shone through at a time when it had to be stressful!
