I was in serious trouble with alcohol and substance abuse not to long ago, so I finally decided to reach out for help and I have to say it has been the best thing that I ever did for myself thanks to NJRC. The entire staff is excellent from the front desk, the administrators to all of the Clinical therapists, Medical staff and Case Managers. If you are in trouble with alcohol, substance abuse and mental health, I would highly recommend NJRC to anyone looking for help.They will definitely give you the help that you need. My life has changed so much for the better with the help of everyone at NJRC. Did I mention the yoga classes, gym availability and the excellent lunches, compliments of NJRC. I was so lost and giving up on life and a few good suggestions brought me here. Everyone from the friar in charge of the inn to security and maintenance made me feel welcome. The counselors are the best I’ve ever dealt with. My counselor was amazing, the physco therapist helped me realize things on my own and a former resident who is now staff related to my issues making me comfortable with the process. That guy was a godsend. These people helped me with my addiction issues more in 6 months then I’ve been able to do over the last 30 years. I now have hope and a blueprint that I follow to live a life in recovery. I could never thank them enough

I never called to thank the people who worked at New Prospects at the time. Better late than never. To be honest, I don't remember any of their names, but I greatly appreciate the time and effort they contributed to make my experience successful. From the first day I got there in early 2018, till today, 10/15/2024, I am still clean and sober. I guess you could say it took. As for the place itself, the food was good, they let you smoke cigarettes outside, (so no forced abstinence as I understand happens at other places), and the rooms on the men's floor all had private bathrooms. I would recommend New Prospects to anyone who needs their services. Edit: I think I should say that I am 63 now and had been using multiple substances since my early-teens. This program, PLUS the REAL intention of quitting whatever and a life-change is what made it work.

While attending a program at the Harlem Parish next door, my mother of 91 had an non-emergency, urgent situation. We entered the facility not knowing what to expect. We were greeted with upmost respect and kindness. From the security detail at the door to the 2 receptionists at the window, these wonderful people worked collectively to get us what we need to attend the program comfortably. I am so thankful for the kindness and compassion that was extended to us.

Not sure what’s with the bad reviews here about but I’ve tried but the telephone & in-person and both are “functional.” This system is for ex-military & nothing says we are here to get VIP treatment as there are millions fellow comrades (Soldiers Creed) are using the same system. I’ve been to other countries abroad and this system is still far exceeds those other systems abroad. Thank you VA and all your staffs!
