Camino Nuevo, has been my cornerstone for my continued and successful recovery. I did not believe I would have had such great results or have had met and worked with the professional staff and friendly and helpful resources, that have made available, for the clients. God Bless the services and outreach programs at Camino Nuevo. I highly recommend Camino Nuevo for I am very confident others will have similar success, just as long as one gives their trust and commitment, Camino will be sure to assist with all else that's required to continue their support and care in keeping one safe during the difficult times that possibly lie ahead and involve a strong team and staff to complete their goals in remaining clean and healthy. God Bless Camino Nuevo. ✝️🙏☺️

Methadone maintenance is the gold standard for opiate addiction for a reason. This stuff works, in addition I’ll add my counselor Katie is a straight up G. She truly cares about her clients. The rest of the admin staff is lovely as well. Our dosing nurses are fast and friendly. The only negative is the head nurse zaria or whatever, she leaves ALOT to be desired to say the least. How she is a medical professional at all is honestly a mystery.

I use to come here for years and then I moved and have been guest dosing - my husband and I - and there’s no clinic available in the area not even Kingston. My home clinics still Binghamton - I emailed and emailed and no response a whenever i go in their busy. They know me, They were both my counselors before I left. I just need to have my insurance cover bc it’s expensive and taking from my kids and I cannot keep borrowing. Please 🙏 just let us be patients there or help us set up a can every day 4 hours a day to get to Binghamton. But doing that will affect me working. Idk im just fed up and I wish I wasn’t on the dose I am or I’d just stop. Yet id still give 5 stars bc everyone is just really sweet.

Healing Springs is a welcoming recovery community resource center serving those in recovery, substance users seeking recovery, and family dealing with loved ones with substance-use problems and issues. The center offers a plethora of programs for those in recovery including 12-steps (AA, NA, MA, OA, CODA), All Recovery, and Refuge Recovery. It also offers different guided activities including Recovery Writing, painting, and jewelry making. Community activities include gardening, Saturday coffee and chat, fishing, and bowling. The center is staffed by both volunteers (many of whom are in recovery) and professional Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPAs). Some of the Center's CRPAs specialize in areas of family, veterans, incarceration, and hospitalization. Positive energy flows throughout the center and all of the programs which are offered. The Center is NOT a rehab, however it does provide information to those seeking rehab facilities. Come in. Sit down. Enjoy a cup of fresh-brewed coffee. Chat with someone. Feel the good vibes.

Saint Jude Retreat is a non-treatment aspect in battling substance use located in Amsterdam, New York. It’s a holistic program that’s based on healing your mind, body, and soul. I love The St Jude Retreat. I attended the Mountain location that was in Wells, NY- I wouldn’t trade what I was taught for anything. It is called The Freedom Model for a reason. ❤️❤️❤️Their program uses science and a genuine look at life regarding both what worked and what didn’t about all of the choices I made. I don’t believe daily declarations that we are “powerless” offer much growth like other modalities. I’m in long term recovery for 8+ yrs and I’m not anonymous, nor ashamed or regretful bc I can own every choice. It was a combo of St Jude’s and Landmark courses combined. I highly recommend if you or someone you know, has frequent relapses and 12 step places haven’t made a lasting impact, or if you’re someone who appreciates the rational and science behind our behaviors. I will say, I did my assignments , procrastinated at some, but I did them. I didn’t have anything to lose and I went in there disbelieving anything could have me believe that I could live happy without CM. I didn’t want to go at all lol! Back then it took hell and high water to get me on a plane, (I missed flight on more than 1 occasion) but Im so grateful I did eventually get on the flight and make it there. Best advice from Rit Santelli… “Don’t give up what you want most, for what you want in the moment”- I had triggers when I got home to Tx back then, but I knew what was happening and what I wanted most mattered more. It’s 2026 I just wanted to update my review above and state still in recovery and rocking it. Freedom 100% Those Axioms are present for me on a day to day basis. Choose 🦋

After years of bouncing around the recovery world, I realized that I had nothing from which to recover! My problems were with my erroneous thinking and the behavior that resulted from the thinking. I am free now and always have been to make the decisions that shape my life. My experience at St Jude was transformative.

If you are looking for a place to change the way you think, the actions you take and your relationship with drugs or alcohol than this is the place for you. The opposite of a traditional rehab experience, St Jude’s and it’s Freedom Model start with a simple premise- there is nothing inherently wrong with you. No illness or disease, no life long problem that will hang over you till the day you die, but rather a simple misunderstanding- that all the benefits you have perceived from drinking or drugging are illusionary. They are in your mind and they proceed to unpack all the myths associated with drinking or drugging and boil it do to some simple facts- one, you have free will and are actively choosing to drink. Two you have an autonomous mind that only you control and can be taught that these perceived benefits you have associated with drinking are simply not true. And third, that you drink or drug because you BELIEVE it is making you happy and in reality it does not, at least not in the way you are drinking or drugging now- or else why are you reading this? Once they teach you this and unshackle you from all the recovery BS you will have a revelation- that this is all in your control and that if you want to change you always can. It’s that simple. The combination of one on one instruction and fact and science based statistics will time and time again reinforce this critical concept. I can honestly say this changed my life. Not just my unhealthy relationship with drinking- but all aspects of my life. It left me a better educated person and as a result a better husband, father, worker and person. In short it left me a better global citizen with an awareness of why I do what I do and the ability to modify my behaviors if I honestly want to. The staff is nothing short of awesome. From the meals (thanks Dave, who by the way is a trained gourmet chef) to the accommodations, to the instructors, you immediately feel like you are part of the family, living in a home with great people in a warm and supportive environment that allows you to comfortably sort yourself out. They are right to call it a retreat, not a rehab, because it is more about teaching you how to live and be a better human than about convincing you you are weak and powerless. I have been home for a month now and have been in numerous social settings with people drinking and have not once felt compelled to drink. I simply choose not to at this point. And that’s the best part- there is no illusion that you can never drink again (but studies show about 50% of the people choose not to) but once they teach you the facts about drinking you are empowered to intelligently choose what you want to do. I want to thank everyone there from Mark, Michelle, Steve (the authors and instructors) to everyone else who helped me during my stay. I can’t say enough great things about this experience. It was nothing short of life changing! You can do this if you want to change and the Freedom Model is the key to a healthier, happier, and more balanced life- I promise you that.

I can’t even express how much I love this place! I have been going to therapy for a very long time and have never been to one where both therapist and Psychiatrist go out of their way for true emergencies. Carolyn is my therapist for and the first time EVER since I have been in therapy she has offered/ allowing me to call her the day before and day after for a brief phone appointment (which isn’t usually allowed) because I am pressing criminal charges against my brother who rapped me throughout my whole childhood. From the child victims act passing my statues of limitations are now lifted. I was on the brink of suicide and I have to say from both her and Dr Dilullo I have to thank for still being here to even write this review. Dr Dilullo is absolutely amazing as well. He knows his stuff and will go out of his way for severe emergencies which is sometimes why he runs late once 1:30/2 pm hits so if you don’t want to wait I suggest making an early appointment. Not many people understand why the wait is long for him and get mad until they are one of those people. He will fit a patient to make sure they are safe. People who work in mental health are manufacturers of hope and boy these 2 manufacture extremely high quality of hope. 💝 Thank you for saving my life and helping me fight through these hard times.

Romona is the most competent and professional person I've dealt with in this whole process. I got a DUI out of state and NOBODY at either DMV knew what was going on or how to get my license back. Eh..on one hand I owe them for helping me when I was in a very bad situation so I have to say that much. On the other I have never had an organization refuse to listen to my feedback like Mohawk Opportunities. The staff at lower levels are grouchy and talk down to you, it's very demoralizing and triggers the very issues they claim to be helping me with. I guess what I'm saying is the staff needs sensitivity training, particularly for someone claiming to work in the mental health field. I'm high functioning so if I'm getting treated like this I fear for the other clients. So sometimes I feel patronized, I get the feeling they aren't familiar with clients with cptsd. However, I am eternally grateful to these folks for aiding me & giving me a beautiful 1st apartment. Thank you everyone at Mohawk & because of that you get 4 stars despite my concerns. Locations not great and the hours are limited? Don't understand that with need, and to easy to miss in traffic. But, though understaffed they do manage to assist best they can and are plesant to deal with. As for the phones your better off with a walk-in... at least face to face you'll get quicker results than that foolish answering system, if its working at all... will gives you the run around. Use to be able to circumvent this feature for direct contact with a pulse but that seems to have been eliminated for automation? That helps no one but the office.

I have been in this program for a time now and am grateful for the help I receive. The staff that I deal with are very helpful and polite and keep me going each day. The residence where I reside through the program is awesome too. I am truly grateful for them helping me through my mental illness. The first meeting at Mohawk Place went well and the application process went smooth.

I stumbled upon hope house accidentally. I was new to the city of Albany. I ended up in a rough situation and was kicked on the streets pregnant with 3 children. It was freezing cold and my children and I were not dressed correctly to be on the streets in the winter weather. I was having a panic attack and needed help. I thought this place was an apartment building and began knocking and ringing the bell frantically. The staff and women there were so supportive and loving to me and my children. They had no reason to open the door and let us get warm. They had no reason to offer my children a bite to eat. Instead they did those thing and then sat there with me for the entire day making phone call after phone call when the police failed to help me. I will forever be grateful for there assistance, love and kindness that day. I was only there for a day as I waited to find a DV shelter as my situation wasn’t quite what hope house is there for but the kindness and love I felt from every single person in that building was something I’ll never forget. If your struggling with addiction I KNOW they will welcome you and your babies with loving arms and support.

Went Thursday February 26th for a partial nephrectomy. I have to say from the time I got there to the time I left I was really taken very well care of. My nurse in the room while I was waiting was fantastic. The nurse when I woke up in recovery was also tremendous. Even while I was waiting to be discharged, my heart rate was a little higher than they wanted and they never rushed to have me leave. They kept coming and making sure I was okay. I know nobody likes to stay in the hospital and mine was outpatient surgery. But I don't think I was ready to go home and deal with things myself. Even with my wife's help, we really didn't know what to expect and it seemed like I needed more. IV. I ended up bagging the emergency room Saturday with severe stomach pains, ended up being more constipation and from the surgery, which I didn't really know could happen. If anybody has this surgery, make sure you take stool softeners well before your surgery so you're ready afterwards. Thank you again to Doctor Marshall and all the staff that helped me.
