About the Facility

Sara Bivens, PhD, MA, LAADC licensed Advanced alcohol and drug counselor. As a seasoned Addiction Professional and a Licensed Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor, who is dedicated to helping clients develop a coherent sense of self so that they can conduct their lives free of substance abuse.

SSIOP clients can participate in a PHP of five hours of clinical services five days per week, including group and individual therapy, and medication and case management. PHP clients will be served lunch between group meetings and may participate in weekly recovery outings.

SSIOP’s intensive outpatient program uses art, drama, sewing therapy, counseling, projective drawing analysis, and personality profiling. Day and evening programs are available for flexibility. Clients may access cognitive behavioral (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), grief and loss management, and sound bath therapy.

Outpatient programs focus on maintaining recovery, strengthening coping skills, and improving mental health and well-being. Clients access many of the same therapeutic elements available in IOP. Vocational training, including developing essential self-care skills, is also available. Nighttime services are available for outpatient clients.

Aftercare at SSIOP includes an alumni program with group activities and events, ongoing support, education, and peer support meetings.

SSIOP accepts various insurance plans like Aetna, ComPsych, Bright Health, and AmBetter. They can help verify your coverage, but potential clients should check with their provider to verify drug and alcohol rehab and out of network benefits.

Levels of Care

Outpatient

Clients receiving treatment at an outpatient rehab typically do not require hospitalization or intensive supervision and support. Outpatient addiction counseling and recovery education are often offered during the morning, evening, night, and weekend, allowing clients to tailor treatment to their own schedule. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are the most time-intensive and are designed for clients who are at an increased relapse risk and/or who need more robust therapeutic support.
