You guys saved my life twice. The treatment and care I have received is top notch. The trauma counseling is the best I've ever had. I love the way Hazelden expedited my treatment when they realized how severe my mental health issues were. The counseling in SILKWORTH and Osborne and Lilly are second to none. My treatment in Ignatia was awesome, the nurses there were top notch. Been an amazing experience in my time of need. Thank you

This place is fantastic. It is not like other places that coddle you and flirt with the idea of sobriety. This team asks the hard questions and focuses on what it means to “live sober”. Come with an open mind and a soft heart and give yourself the permission to leave the weight of the past behind.

Thank you to Burkwood Staff(from Admin to medical, housekeeping/maintenance, kitchen, aides, and of course the counselors). Team Cheryl!!! Residential was crucial for me to start my Recovery journey and IOP (shout out to Jaime and Cheryl)has been instrumental in reaching 90 days sober! Burkwood not only answered my call to “get sober” with compassion but also has guided me to start healing my mental health (Kelli). I could not recommend more highly!!!

I'm giving this treatment place 5 Stars-I talked to a wonderful intake worker by the name of Emily Schwab-she was very helpful to me and to my daughter-giving us very good advice-being so patient with us-had an answer for every question ☺️ thank you Emily, Cynthia Diane Livingston

Of all the treatment I've been to in the last 15 years, Lakeshore has been the best in many ways, but there is always a few bad apples in a bunch. Let me explain; THE BEST: Emily Schwab and the other Certified Peer Recovery Specialists dive in, driven by empathy and altruism. Getting everything a person needs in early recovery taken care of for you and lining up everything for our near future. The Good: The counselors care and are very attentive to our needs and help build a treatment plan worthy of a valiant attempt from our end. The Bad: Chad Walker. The treatment director. He is arrogant and selfish. He knows best, just ask him and he will tell you. He is very brash to people in vulnerable states and seems to have taken it upon himself to make his own rules and designs outside the scope of what EOSIS is trying to do for recovery. Get a new director and I would recommend this place to anyone. Also I think CPRS workers, especially ones this dedicated, should be independent contractors. Or, they should get paid more than "I think" they do because of the amount of actual work they do for us!!!

Gwen and Scott are the best. I tried other treatments, but this one is definitely the best. All the other ones I tried, were for profit, and it truly showed, they were more interested in moving you to a higher level of care than actually helping you. My advice, always choose a non profit treatment facility, and Canvas is the one I chose and I highly recommend it.

This is an excellent treatment center. It's out in the country with a ton of wildlife, and a farm next door with emus, ostriches, horses and a zebra(that i didnt see but it was really cold). There are 4 different buildings so you get outside a lot. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They will help you with anything. From legal issues to Healthcare to filling out assistance forms and sending them in. They will bring you to offsite appointments and court dates. (You won't miss important things like a reviewer said) The food is decent, you will gain weight if you eat all the meals and finish them. While I was there we had an awesome community of people that were willing to help any way they could. There was no judgment if you opened up. The counselors are awesome and teach productive groups. Other people in the program said it was the best treatment center they have ever been to. The negative reviews are from family or partners that don't understand the person that went here didn't care about getting sober. Were just there for 3 meals and a warm bed. I watched this firsthand. They have lockers and locking wall closets so it's your fault if something gets stolen. People steal no matter where they are so it's nieve to think it would change just because your in treatment. That's just a part of life sadly. I didn't see or hear that while I was there though. Cedar Ridge gave me a very solid foundation for recovery and staying sober. Got me into an aftercare program where I wanted as well. Highly recommend to anyone who needs help getting sober and learning to staying sober. THANK YOU CEDAR RIDGE STAFF! THANK YOU EMILY!

I ended up here after a rough day (a.k.a. life). Ten beds, mostly residents recovering from alcohol or drug use. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food was decent, incredibly large portions. Staff was kind, caring, and genuine. The big guy who checked me in thanked me for being there. I don’t have family or friends, and that simple kindness meant more than he probably knew. I was no a fan of the psychiatrist. He seemed offended when I asked if he would coordinate with my regular psychiatrist about my meds. When I said I wasn’t sleeping, he said they do 15-minute checks and I was, which made me feel like my honesty was being questioned. My discharge notes didn’t reflect what I meant when answering questions about self-harm, and I left feeling unheard and invalidated.

Willow Haven didn’t just give me a place to stay, it gave me space to heal. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt like more than just another name on a check-in sheet. The atmosphere is peaceful and comfortable, a true home setting that immediately puts your heart at ease. The meals? Five-star dinners every night. You can taste the love in every bite. What makes Willow Haven stand apart, though, is the balance. The schedule is the perfect blend of structure and free time, just enough programming to challenge and grow, and just enough space to breathe, reflect, and rediscover who you are. The staff? They are the heartbeat of this place. A rare blend of inspiration, guidance, and love — the kind that speaks into your life without judgment and walks beside you until you can walk on your own. They don’t just teach recovery. They live it. And they pour themselves into every person who walks through the doors. You just have to be willing to receive it. Willow Haven is more than a facility. It’s a turning point. A sacred pause. A reset you didn’t know your soul needed. Forever a blessing in my life. I walked in broken, I’m leaving restored.
