Where do I start...Checked into Burkwood on 09/25/2023 a shell of the person i once was for my 8th attempt at treatment a hopeless dope addict and the man who left 42 days later was almost unrecognizable as the same person. I am going to keep this short and to the point. This place saved my life! To anyone who has been to treatment before and failed to stay sober after I have an easy recipe for success i will lay out for you and if it worked for me it can work for anyone and here it is. Call burkwood make a plan, show up, Surrender(#1 biggest thing you have to do) and by that i mean just give in to the process and listen to what they are saying even when you want to question why just do what they are telling you they are not doing what their doing for any other reason then it flipping works, next is get involved and share with your peers and last but not least don't leave till they tell you your ready to and follow their recommendations its just that easy! The food at burkwood was amazing the staff was amazing and the accommodations overall were also amazing! Special thanks to Cheryl, Kelly M, Will, Kevin, Jake, Aaron and that's just a few of the people who made my recovery possible and as magical as it was!

Gwen and Scott are the best. I tried other treatments, but this one is definitely the best. All the other ones I tried, were for profit, and it truly showed, they were more interested in moving you to a higher level of care than actually helping you. I learned more about myself at the shore than I have in my last 4 inpatient treatments. The combination of drug and alcohol treatment with mental health treatment was very helpful. I'd recommend this place for anyone looking for a great n new experience with treatment. They treated us like adults. The location is perfect and the staff is by far some of the best, kind, caring, and respectful I've been around. Huge thank you to this place.

Dr. Bachman is hands down one of the best M.D. on my medical team. For several years he has demonstrated a level of professionalism that stands above the rest in the medical industry. Two weeks ago today, we came in for my husband s knee surgery. We were greeted at 6:00 am at check in and they were very helpful and cheerful for that early and very cold morning.We were guided along to where surgery would be and I was given a tour of the waiting room area. The hospital was very clean and easy to get around. Each nurse I met with was extremely kind and informative of what the next steps were after surgery was complete.The pharmacy had all our prescriptions ready and gave very complete instructions.We felt we were in good hands and would definitely go to the Hudson Hospital again.

This clinic is such an amazing place. They do everything they can in their power to help children & adolescents grow and overcome whatever mental illness they may be struggling with. As an intern there last summer, I got to witness first hand how kind, empathetic, and life-changing this staff is. They were so welcoming to me, and to every child that walked through those doors. I have had the luxury of meeting 2 of the therapist here, Amanda and Val. Both have helped me significantly. Its hard to find a good therapist and when you do its worth the effort. I have been working with Val for a little while and we have a great connection. I feel like Im getting the help I desperately needed and was not able to find elsewhere. I highly recommend this place. When it comes to therapy in general, finding a good fit is up to the individual and it may vary person to person. I feel blessed to have 2 for 2 at this place.
