Been looking for that right place or new to the area YOU'VE GOT TO CHECK OUT STEIN COUNSELING! They have someone for EVERYONE know matter what your looking for....it is ALL based on yoU! Whether race, color, creed, religion, sex, partner & gender identity. It reminds me of how I was treated when I lived in Montana, your welcome now matter what, to each there own!! Don't believe me check out their website of services offered its in double digits & still growing recently adding Rapid Eye Movement Therapy. Every person at the front desk says Hello & knows your name!!(I've NEVER seen that before & it makes you truly feel cared about). Each person is so kind, caring & if you've got paperwork to fill out they are on top of EVERYTHING! I have been going to Stein for almost 10yrs!!!! I love how they find you the person your gonna work with better or have no issues if you wanted to try someone new/else..& the owners CARE about making their business the BEST it can be for person.(who doesn't want that in a business?)...PLUS I hear they even have a MT(massage therapist)on staff talk about the PERFECT me day!!!! They have even added space & more staff, check out the new kids/family waiting area! I have been to MANY different places over the years & this one is HANDS DOWN the BEST! I have no plans on leaving especially after I saw how dedicated they were to make sure EVERY client still got services during COVID(most times could only say that about restaurants & Nurses). I see Brie & have no plans on changing or leaving her. Just when I am at my darkest she knows somehow what to say, give advice on to try, etc. She is SO SMART yet so down to earth. Works with every age group & each client is treated differently but that's what you want right what's best for you, advice/guidance when needed, there for you good & bad, etc. You honestly really feel cared about when you think no one else does. They/she figured out how many times to needed to be seen during each season/conditions. VERY flexible. Lastly, I'd like to give a thanks to the WHOLE STEIN FAMILY for pouring your everything into starting Wisconsin's BEST & our areas #1C & CS LTD!!! When I went in last year, I didn't know quite what to expect. I only knew I couldn't function the way I was anymore, and needed help that my parents couldn't give me. The depression, guilt, anger, pain, and anxiety was so overrun in my body and mind that I wasn't able to focus for more than a few minutes. After the first 2 days there, I was able to breathe, calm down, feel hopeful and heard. I talked to a psychiatrist and we started trialing medications to figure out the "cocktail" of meds best suited for me. I got help with my sleeping, leveling out my mood, severe anxiety, and hopelessness, and was able to read a book every day during down time between group classes. I didn't know what to expect, but what I experienced was nothing short of a miracle. It truly saved my life, I can not recall any one person's name, but every single person I met during my stay of not quite 2 weeks was friendly and warm, and made me feel good to be there, not like I did something wrong, or something was wrong with me. We expect too much of ourselves and have too much pride to show weakness in this day and age.. I know I thought that way and it almost broke me, I find myself thanking God at odd times, knowing my life would be severely different today, if I didn't have my parents take me in last year. What a blessing, I am so thankful and will go again much sooner next time if I start to see or feel some signs!

For speed, I quickly review each aspect of the recovery after my full review. You can scroll past my full review for the bullet points. Full Review: Energy told me to take a look at options to heal the results of my actions. In my opinion, energy (not action) brought you to my review. I tried to detox at home and I briefly died. My energy showed me fiist hand the difference between life and death and my energy choose life. (Like it or not). I took action and called the facility, asked questions, and I was provided answers as well as a close contact until I arrived. When I arrived I saw it was a beautiful large 'lodge like' building in a tranquil, rural area. Intake was detailed, and quick. I can not remember too much of the intake process but I know they were friendly and understanding. My detox started immediately after intake. I was provided a private room. I was medicated and monitored often. After detox, I started a residential program. I was given a personal, clean room. They monitored us less than at detox but still 24/7. It took a bit to get used to the pop ins from the BHT's. Groups were the main activity 8 hours, 7 days a week. You are put into a group of 8-20 people. My group offered engagement and education that I took advantage of. After group we had the option to take advantage of the amenities. Pools, hot tub, workout space, common areas, propane fire pits, pool, darts, video games, art etc. This gave me the option to see that sober fun was possible. I was able to call home, handle my day to day and use my laptop/phone. Having my electronics was very helpful. There was a variety of snacks that ranged from ice cream to healthy options. A good variety of drink options were also available. I was offered a full breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday that included a decent amount of choice. I personally did not ask the cooks for special meals so I can not review the food a vegetarian, or glute-free person would need. I met all types of people of all ages. I saw all types of personalities. I found friends but I had to go around and take action to make those contacts. Not everyone wanted contacted, I respect that. However not everyone was someone I wanted to talk to. They offered on site Dharma and SMART classes as well as off-site AA and NA. I did not attend so I can not review Events and trips were planned on Saturdays and Sunday had church options. Medication was provided in a line with first come service. The lines seemed long at peak times so I learned to go do my meds off peak hours. Therapists were mainly there to handle the paperwork, give references to other programs and calculate CADs. Sessions were about an hour a week. Providers were either virtual or in person. I saw a provider weekly. The provider lines can be long as well so bring your headphones. The discharge went smooth for the most part. I did advocate for myself to make sure it went well. Bullet Points: - Intake: Fast, Friendly - Detox: Heavily monitored and medicated - Resedential: Personal room, program scheduled daily - Amenities: Exactly what is listed - Food: A variety, 3 meals a day and snacks - Meds: First come first serve, peak busy off peak quick - Atmosphere: Focused on sobriety and activities - Staff: Attentive, friendly - Therapists: Lacking direct in person contact - Clarity of the process, routine and Insurance updates were lacking - All around: It was great. learned a lot, met great people.

Had court ordered assessment a year and a half ago. Basic documentation still not sent to sheriff and dot as requested three times. Just your usual people working for a place for a check. Also, the only counseling they offered me was basically solitary confinement with some person who had taken an online counseling course for several grueling interrogation sessions. All for an OWI charge that was thrown out so I was never convicted of any sort of drug related crime. However, I have no chance of getting my driver's license back due to their non-compliance with my simple request for them to send the records that I showed up as ordered for their assessment and all the appointments they racked up at the expense of my time and money. I needed that driver's license for the last 35 years of full-time employment and to pay for every aspect of raising two families and then child support which peaked at thousands of dollars a month. I get it, Johnson co Ia. I am a working man, and I cannot win under any circumstances. Their solution is the regressive and flawed model of any health care issue treatment, including addiction. Just another tax and punishment hoop to jump through in the land of the free and brave.

The negative reviews I have seen is concerning. Every business every rehab every hospital has flaws. You will never find what most of you are looking for which is perfection. I seen a review where the reviewer states there was 150 clients. yet there is not 150 or even close to that amount that is leaving negative reviews. There was even reviews claiming wood violet commits insurance fraud. Common sense would tell you if that was the case they would accept Medicaid and Medicare which is much easier to commit fraud with. Another thing no matter where you go things can slip past staff but if your loved one partakes in it. Then your loved one has to have accountability. If you have a garden then you will also see no matter what you put on it there will always be some weeds that will pop up. Same thing with these centers no matter how many safe guards they put up there will always be something the comes through. Am I saying wood violet is perfect? No. Noone is perfect. But giving the situation the world is in with people not really wanting to work. They do good with what staff they do have.

My overall experience with Central WI Counseling Associates - having both therapy and medication care - has been nothing but positive. 1. The administrative team are pleasant, prompt, and treat me with respect. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. I’ve never experienced billing issues nor difficulties with scheduling an appointment. 2. My therapist is an intuitive coach and empowering mentor. She listens, validates, and challenges me in all the ways needed. My sessions with her have led to increased self awareness and self love, and propel me to be my most authentic self. I am blessed to have such a skilled therapist in my corner. 3. For about a year I’d been considering whether to see a specialist about psychiatry medication but I never got myself to the point of taking action on it (partly due to stigma & worry). When I learned Justin Schuerman joined CWCA down the hall from my therapist, I decided to take the leap and ask for an appointment. — This was one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself in a long time. Justin has proven to be knowledgeable, experienced and skilled in his specialty while also being kind, considerate and demonstrating genuine interest and commitment toward my wellbeing and success. Talking to him is easy, I never feel rushed or unheard. I appreciate the time he takes to answer my questions and discuss options in a way that makes sense. If you’ve been considering seeing a therapist for counseling or a specialist for psychiatry medication, don’t put it off. There are good people out there doing great things for their clients, and I can personally attest to at least two of them at CWCA!

Their website says “We also will see you as a client if you do not see your insurance carrier on this list.” and “Please note that even if you don't see your insurance listed, contact us for further assistance.” So I called to schedule an appointment and the receptionist said “We don’t accept your insurance, thanks for the call, buh bye” and literally hung up the phone before I could say anything else. This person has no business working for a professional establishment, let alone a mental health clinic. People who find the courage to reach out and ask for help deserve to be heard and respected. I recommend going elsewhere for your mental health needs.

After qualifying for state assistance my evaluation took a new turn. Initially it was recognition of resilience. Now, supporting factors play no opposition to risk. They check boxes. Solely process and procedure, not case by case. This has caused more legal issues. I tried to follow up about the recommendation from my assessment. I was continually brushed off until I showed up personally. I was treated like a joke when my future was at hand. If I wasn't concerned THAT would be alarming. No respect for most staff here. Costed me my job after working a full year with no issues.(steady prior work history) Employment hasn't been consistent since. Thanks "Forbid" - "Where success is found elsewhere." The recommendation would have prevented me from working my standard hours. The employer did not find this ideal. Lifes difficulties are further raised. Still disciplined and not drinking. As stated in my intake, I had a vision to see through. Patient and persistent, I'll succeed without your help. There's better foundations than EMPOWER.

My experience at Vinland was inspiring to me. It helped me with a lot of time to reflect on myself. It let me get back into practicing routine. Participating in groups and meetings. Started to eat healthier. I got back into shape by exercising. Including running again after years of not. Having the opportunity to appreciate nature again. I'm grateful to Vinland, it's staff, counselors, nurses, fitness team, my group members, my AA meetings there, the cooks and everyone else heavily involved with this facillity. Miss you Group 3!

I cannot say enough great things about Central Wisconsin Counseling!! After a very painful breakup/bankruptcy/termination/court order all within months of each other, I found myself fearing I was in a permanent downward spiral. I was questioning my own sanity and worth, and needing therapy. Thankfully, I turned to Central Wisconsin Counseling in Wisconsin Rapids. I was pleased that i was able to be scheduled for a prompt appointment. Dr. Roger has been a great help to me with healing and moving forward to becoming the best version of myself. I was referred for a mental health evaluation, at my request, and look forward to my continued sessions with Dr. Roger as he is helping me to find the self I have lost. He has a professional, yet casual way of assisting me to find peace and love for myself, for which, i cannot express my gratitude enough. Booking appointments is easy and convenient and the staff goes above and beyond for their clients. The office, itself, is a very professional setting, but also has a comfort that puts you at ease-a necessity for me when I am most vulnerable. Literal. Lifesavers. Therapy is not something to fear or turn away from. If you are seeking help, I strongly recommend Central Wisconsin Counseling.
