Applying for Bethel Colony of Mercy was the first stop in the steps I’ve taken to turn my life around from a life style of very many colors and wrong choices. The staff and guidance that are involved with this Christ recovery transformation center are beyond immaculate. Without those individuals one on one advisory, classroom lessons, daily tasks, genuine fellowship, and of course the power of God I wouldn’t be making the right choices now to be reunited with my loved ones. Or, have my life together by any means of doing this “thing” called life all on my own. I am forever grateful for everyone that god placed into my life through making the decision to go to bethel colony of mercy 😇 Sending prayers to the women’s and men’s campus’ for their strength, unity, protection, faith, and healing. As well as to all of their loved ones who are or have been affected by any of the students, or student alumni's long suffering. May you all be blessed beyond measure with gods abundance. GOD HAS A GOOD PLAN FOR ALL OF HIS CHILDREN! Thank you Lord for all of your great works! “May the lord bless you, and keep you; The lord make his face shine on you. And be gracious to you. The LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Clients who are exiting detox or stepping down from intensive inpatient care typically transition directly into outpatient treatment. Outpatient programs are designed to allow clients to either re-enter or remain in their communities while receiving robust, personalized care. Many facilities offer evening, night, or weekend services to accommodate clients' home and work schedules. The most common outpatient treatment modalities include psychotherapy, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

inpatient iconInpatient

Clients receiving treatment at an inpatient rehab facility are typically in early recovery or are at heightened risk of relapse. Clients in inpatient care remain at the facility for the duration of their program, enabling them to focus solely on their recovery. Inpatient treatment typically involves extensive psychotherapy, often including group and family counseling as well as one-on-one sessions. Recovery-focused life skills education is another common service. Many rehabs also offer evidence-based holistic therapies.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Trauma therapy helps you reclaim your life after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. Therapists help to process these memories, which promotes emotional healing and reduces anxiety in social situations. This improves your overall well being and increases your self confidence.

During couples therapy in North Carolina, a psychologist helps you and your partner resolve problems that are occurring in your relationship. This licensed therapist uses talk therapy to help you both work through challenges together. The process involves learning new skills to better handle conflict and life issues.

Family therapy sessions address the emotional toll that addiction has had on the family unit and individual members. Therapists work with families to develop better coping strategies, which in turn create a stable environment for their loved one's recovery process.

Praise the Lord for Bethel Colony of Mercy. This was my first step to surrendering to Jesus Christ. Bethel helped me break chain after chain, standing beside me, on the Word of God, delivering me from the sin problem rooted in all addiction. I was given biblical counseling that allowed the Word of God to divide and heal my soul. This ministry is aware that Jesus is the only answer, and miracles are happening in the hearts and minds of those they serve. They have upheld their commitment for decades, without wavering, that the Word of God is all sufficient for applying the truth of Jesus Christ to not only break chains, but to experience real healing. Bethel hosts the Presence of God, and allows men and women who’s lives have been devastated by sin and destruction to surrender to the Power and Love of a God who is VERY MUCH ALIVE AND WORKING in the hearts of those Bethel serves. Many of their staff have been risen up from the ashes themselves and have led the way with their own testimony and faith in the only One who is able to free us from our chains. Bethel operates as the Body of Christ is meant to function, in Spirit and in Truth. Bethel is like family. In the Presence of God, EVERYTHING changes, I thank God for Bethel’s obedience in not compromising, because it allowed an avenue for me to come face to face with the One my soul loves!

Me and my wife went thru the program together it was awesome that they do that there we got to do marriage counseling but the main thing is that you get to get rooted and grounded in the word of God there the pastors there are amazing and on point with the Bible I can honestly say that me and my wife grew so much in the Lord there all I can say is if you want to break the chains of addiction go to bethel and focuse on you growing close to the Lord cause that's how you break the chains and I can say that bethel is well maintained Phil Lambert and the house keeping crew keeps it nice and clean I was part of that crew and the women's campus is so beautiful and they even allow people that smoke to smoke there they got a smoking place and me and my wife have been talking about going back in about a year just so we can take 65 more days to just grow in the Lord and hear the word everyday thank you bethel

Response from the owner
Chris and Summer thanks for sharing with others your experience at Bethel. We are so grateful to be able to have married couples come through Bethel so they can learn together and get marriage counseling. It sets couple up for success in this journey of overcoming.

As a graduate of this program, I can testify that it changed my life and relationship with Christ and gave me a foundation to live. The staff shared the truth of the Gospel in an environment that gave me an opportunity to heal & grow. I was treated with dignity & respect by a caring staff that never made me feel judged. I watched biblical integrity and compassion lived out by the people who pastored me. I would suggest that if addiction is killing you, if it feels like there no escape, no way you can change, give yourself a break and call these people.

Response from the owner
Greg, it is good to hear from you. We are very thankful you took out time to share with others your experience at Bethel Colony.

As a student in 2008 then volunteer Counseling Coordinator for a season in 2009, l had the opportunity to experience first hand the powerful expression of God’s faithful work in the lives of those (like me) who were dealing with an addiction. In 2017 l came back to Bethel Colony of Mercy for a year as a volunteer Strategic Advisor focused on building our ministry brand in Caldwell County, forging key alliances and assessing new, innovative paths to more robustly resource this 76-year-old transformation ministry. In 2023 God led me back as a volunteer to assist the executive director Pastor Paul Pruitt and board of directors as the ministry set its course on growth across both the men’s & women’s growing campuses. The desperate need for Bethel’s innovative, 65-day Biblically driven, faith-based program is without question. More than 12 people die daily in North Carolina (alone) from opioid overdoses. America is in the dark abyss of substance abuse agony and the only durable solution is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, while following a path of daily discipleship. With a youngest daughter who has had addiction impacts in her own life, l cannot help but have new hope kindled whenever observing the lives of women like her so radically changing on the beautiful 148 acre women’s campus in Lenoir, NC. There is hope, healing and health here at Bethel Colony of Mercy. My personal recommendation is without qualification along with a strong encouragement and invitation for anyone who is at a dead end in their lives. Just pick up the phone and call. Miracles still happen. We see them every day in transformed lives and mended families! Butch Maltby Bethel graduate 2008

Response from the owner
Butch we thank you for taking time to share with others your experience at Bethel. We are also thankful for your investment into the Kingdom of God and seeing others set free!

Addicts need support and love… This is NOT the place. You wrote someone up for their baseboards being wet after you require them to be cleaned? Seems like they’re constantly looking for ways to kick anyone out and when they want to come back they want you to call twice a week and basically beg to be let back in?! That is not really welcoming with “open arms” and I’m sure they have an excuse for treating them this way. If you’re looking for a loving support to help with someone in addiction I would find a different program. I have never heard of a facility wanting to help someone in addiction just toss them out and have them beg to come back. Ridiculous.

Response from the owner
Hello Larissa, we have never dismissed anyone from our program for wet baseboards or any surface that got cleaned. It sounds like you have been mislead on the real reason someone got dismissed or if they got dismissed at all.
If someone disqualified themselves from our program or choose to leave. We do give them an opportunity to come back. We do ask them to check in, because we want to make sure we hold that bed for them if they desire to come back. If they do not desire we want to make sure we make it available to the next person who has applied. We hope your love one will come to real freedom, that is possible through Jesus.

I am a proud alumna of Bethel. This place provided me with the support and love I needed to thrive. The staff is amazing and they care for the students as if they were their own. Bethel has changed my life forever, and I owe everything to God, with Bethel playing a significant role in that transformation.

Response from the owner
Hi Niki thank you for taking time to do a review. Keep growing and giving that spoken word.
