DWRBis by far the best treatment center for women in Colorado. I have been to treatment centers all over the country and not one has helped me as much as DWR. Their clinical team is top notch and will refuse to allow a person to fail. DWR saved my life and I can’t say this enough.

I remained constantly impressed and knew that I made the right decision by choosing Denver Women's from the moment I picked up the phone and called DWR stating that I was struggling with addiction. Immediately I was connected with someone who wanted to help and was able to complete my intake. During my treatment time at DWR, I was surrounded by clinical staff that really wanted to help. Their professionalism and the atmosphere they've created for their clients is top notchThey guided me through some difficult times and exemplified what humans do for one another in tough times and showed me what it was like to come out the other side of active recovery. I am truly blessed and grateful for DWR. . I'm happy to report that I have almost two years sober and I attribute my recovery to the knowledge, deep understanding and courage that DWR taught me while I was there. This is the best place for whatever you have going on in your life. I am on supervision and use them for my classes, one on ones, and testing. The staff is super nice and helpful. They go above and beyond with extra case management services and even helped with my resume. They will know you by first name and stay in touch when it counts. They have a bunch of online sessions available too if you can’t drive or need to meet with someone remotely. Don’t waste your time anywhere else.

In July 2025, I started IOP at DWR which was the best decision I ever made. Their staff are supportive and extremely knowledgeable; special shoutout to Rachel, Amanda, and Crystal for all of their endless support!
During IOP, I relapsed more than once and was never treated differently because of it. Instead of criticizing my decisions, DWR provided me with the support and safe space to work through my relapses while still holding me accountable.
I have now been sober just over one year and even though I am the one who makes the decision to continue my sobriety everyday, I owe DWR for giving me the tools and confidence to do so. Thank you DWR for saving my life when I had almost given up and helping me create a life worth living.

Denver Cares staff work hard to insure patients safety and attentive to each person's needs when it came to detox treatment. Staff were on hand 24/7 to ensure the patient was safe. Counselors were available to help determining what programs fit the individual after detox. I would highly recommend anyone needing help with addiction to seek Professional treatment. This clinic has been an absolutely integral in my mental health over the past 8 years. Barriers to care, primarily socioeconomic, had kept me from seeking and maintaining regular help for a long time. MHCD/WellPower has given me tools and resources I truly never thought possible and helped me clear those barriers and hurdles to finally be able to care for my mental health. Every psychiatrist, therapist, nurse, staff and pharmacist has been incredibly helpful and supportive when I’ve been both stable and in crisis. Scheduling appointments and contacting certain departments can sometimes be difficult and require patience, as they serve such a huge patient population. However, that “inconvenience” is well worth knowing that everyone there is on your team. Thank you WellPower for breaking down those barriers and for creating a safe space to get the help I thought I couldn’t get.

There are some clinicians that work here who have a genuine interest in seeing you heal and when you are a victim of domestic violence and stalking you need all the resources you can get. Thank goodness for Paola Atehortua, she is one of the best case managers I have ever seen and extremely professional and goes out of her way to help her patients succeed. Paola boasts a motherly and nurturing attitude in her care for her patients and is one of the best clinicians I have seen in operation and gives Wellpower the notoriety of being one of the best mental health centers in Denver. Truly grateful that people like Paola still exist.

This is a nice building that is secured and guarded.I attend Lung rehab there as a patient. They have parking garage for visitors only. I have the best care by a team of experienced and friendly people that teach us education and workouts in the huge gym they have two times a week. There is other departments located there like the Sleep lab along with other clinics.

I had my first psychiatric appointment with Dr Kenneth MacIntyre, and I have to say that he was very understanding about everything. He understood and respected that I didn’t want to try previous medications again, and prioritized what I wanted to be treated first. He’s also helping me get affordable care as well as transgender care. He proved within just 90 minutes that he truly cares for his patients no matter the color,identity, or background. Anyone who is considering going to community corrections/halfway house, this is the place to be. I did 9 years in CDOC, and LCCC accepted me. This program is setup to make you successful, if that’s what you want. The staff is SUPER helpful and knowledgeable, and very professional. Compared to the staff in DOC they are night and day. You’ll need to be focused and pay attention to the rules because there are a lot of rules, but if you live your life like a normal person and do the right thing, plug in with the right people, and stay on point this place will get you stabilized and geared for success. Take this advice from someone who spent almost a decade in prison involved in the good and the bad.

I have nothing but positive thoughts and love for Step Seven. I have been apart of the community for 15 months now and I can honestly say God and Step Seven saved my life. I was in a bad place and bad shape and didn’t think help existed. I gave the director a call when I got out of prison and was in a home that night. Over the 15 months I have watched my life transform. I have restored relationships, I have built a true foundation, I have real brothers who have my back, I am a brand new man. It’s not only me that this change has happened too. I’ve seen handfuls of men change their lives for the best here and I can say firsthand God loves Step Seven cause the stories I’ve witnessed of where people were to where they are now is nothing short of amazing. If you a visitor beware that there are not many visitor spots and many are designated for specific providers. They are extremely narrow to the point where many struggle getting parked and end up backing out and leaving. I have a mid-size SUV and I struggle. Even the turn-around isn’t easy if you can’t find a spot.

This year I celebrated 6 years clean after over a decade of drug use. Whenever I talk about my recovery, Mary, the woman who runs this rehab and sober living will always come into that conversation.
I was so scared to go into rehab for the first time and I knew my family was too. I’m so happy I chose New Beginnings. Everything about the place from the classes to the different ways they teach you to get through withdrawals and how to manifest a beautiful life, clean. Her words will forever echo in my heart for the rest of my life. There is something truly special about this place.
I’m currently living out my beautiful dream life and I couldn’t be more grateful for Mary and the chance she gave me. I recently got married and we had a micro wedding. All of my friends who came were from New Beginnings. Life long friends.
