Went to the er and dr hayes, all the nurses that took care of me, even the front desk lady, were so kind and caring, took time to listen to all my concerns, went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable, and calmed me when I was scared. I went in with alot of concerns and anxiety, but I left with an eased mind. Thank you all so much

Stout Street Foundation offers Serenity, a short term residential treatment program. They’re located in Commerce City, Colorado. Serenity is an intensive treatment program for substance use disorder and co-occurring (dual diagnosis) mental health disorders. Although Stout Street Foundation offers a long-term program, Serenity is their short prog
Soooo here's the deal. This program is not easy. Well, Serenity was kinda easy (I did both of their programs). I hear they've changed some things in the long term program since I was there, but I'm sure it's still not easy, or fun. I went in March of 2020 after a series of unfortunate life choices including two DUIs and discovering my inability to get sober "on my own". I had burned every bridge with my friends and family, I was as down and out as they come. My probation officer said "jail or rehab" and when I read about Stout Street, I immediately knew deep down that it was what I needed, despite the mixed reviews. I completed the inpatient portion of the program (18 months). During my time there, I was forced to face myself in a way that I desperately needed. I COULD sit here and rage about the aspects of the program that were - arguably - too intense. But I'd much rather tell you this: Stout Street changed my life. Because of the "job" I was assigned while I was in the program as the Medical Clerk (during COVID too! It was wild!), I had the necessary experience that I needed to apply for and gain access to a job in the addiction treatment field, where I still work to this day. Must more importantly, Stout was the TIME OUT I needed from life. It is a truly precious thing to have a year and a half to work on yourself. No bullshit. To not stress about bills, bad relationships and people from your time in active addiction, and to just SHUT OFF THE NOISE - is a GIFT. I am so grateful that I went here because it was the beginning of a beautiful life that I am now really creating, day by day. Had I not gone to Stout Street, I would be dead or likely in ANOTHER crappy codependent relationship. I can proudly say that I've been single since I went in, and five years later my life is looking more promising and feeling more stable and fulfilling than I ever thought would be possible. I always thought I would die before 30. That was my trajectory. Until Stout picked me up and shook me HARD with the reality of life, showed me that I CAN stand on my own two feet, and gave me ~H O P E~. If you're looking for a cushy rehab where you get loads of free time, someone to sign off on the lies you tell yourself to keep getting high or drunk, quick tips, and comfort in recovery... Look somewhere else. This place right here will wake you up and teach you how to be uncomfortable. I can't even tell you how many people bounced out after a month or so. It takes guts to work through this program. It's worth every tear, every WC, every write up, and every tough confrontation. I am only now (5 years in the future lol) really seeing and reaping the benefits of my time here. The more time that goes on, the more tools that I find myself using to navigate life. Tools that I gained from Stout Street. The classes that they offer during your time are life-changing. I still do Inner Child work to this day, and I will do it until the day I die because it is the only thing that has helped me heal certain parts of myself from abuse and self-loathing. In all transparancy, I did not graduate the program. I had a relapse in the sober living phase of the program and ended up going to another facility briefly to get back on track. But my drive, my THIRST for self awareness and self love - those came from Stout Street. I am now an HONEST person because of this place. Sometimes you have to break down in order to rebuild, and this is a place where you can do that safely. A few staff members had an incredible impact on me, and now we're coming full circle and I'm working alongside them to help others find their way into recovery at the outpatient clinic where I work. I can't say thank you enough, Stout Street. I also can't say I haven't talked a LOT of shit on this program.... Because it was HARD. But the gifts they offer are undeniable. I love seeing my "brothers and sisters" from Stout out here thriving. It is truly incredible and if you really want to change your life, you should go here. Trust the process. If I could do it, so can you.

Picking up the phone and trying to find help for the first time was daunting. I knew I needed to change my relationship with alcohol, but I didn’t know where to start. After making multiple calls, I came across CMAR (Colorado Medicated Assisted Recovery). The first person I spoke to on the phone made me feel welcome and helped me begin my recovery journey. I started in August 2024 and was guided to IOP, which included three sessions a week. I’ll never forget the first time I walked in—I was welcomed right away. James Jackman was the group therapist that day and made me feel comfortable from day one. He would later become my personal therapist, and I owe a lot to him for helping me through my recovery. I came in wanting to change my relationship with alcohol, but I ended up working through so much more—my anxiety, childhood trauma, and the reasons behind my substance use. I learned more about myself and grew as a person in ways I never imagined. After graduating IOP in three months, I decided to continue in OP for another year. Through CMAR, I’ve built a strong sober community and made many close friends. If you’re looking for help, this place is truly amazing.

This center is unlike any other. From day one, I felt genuinely cared for on every level — emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. The staff took time to understand me as a whole person, not just my symptoms, and the environment is warm, intimate, and deeply supportive. Every part of my treatment felt thoughtfully designed around me, and that made all the difference. I left feeling grounded, empowered, and truly seen. If you’re looking for care that goes beyond the surface, this is the place.

I truly couldn’t say a negative thing about Sandstone Care in Denver; they are amazing. I was in one of the lowest points of my life when I reached out to Sandstone admissions and even then, I received the best care right off the bat. My admissions coordinator, (Kevin Clark) was incredibly helpful and informative and even mentioned some of his own story to make me feel more comfortable and confident in starting this new journey in my life. I started the program in their PHP group and I first noticed that it felt different from the other treatment facilities I had ever been to. I felt comfortable, accepted, and safe. It was a new, but warm feeling. In the PHP group, I learned several /new/ ways of looking at the different issues I was going through. It didn’t feel like anyone was blaming me, but more like “these are things I am struggling with; okay, what can I do to make them feel less awful?” This is something that made Sandstone different for me - they actually helped me, as the individual, build new foundations and discover my values in life. After I finished up their PHP program, I stepped down to IOP and from there, I felt like a new person. I noticed that my self-esteem was growing and that when I was going through my lower moments of time, I could actually recognize what was happening and control the situation. Now this was huge considering I have been struggling with Anxiety/Major Depressive disorder since 5th grade. I could not figure out the words to describe the weight lifted off of my chest after completing my time at Sandstone Care. For anyone considering treatment for yourself or a loved one here, I would seriously recommend it. I was hesitant at first because of the question, “what if it’s just like every other mental health facility?” It’s not and I will die on that hill. During my time at Sandstone, I worked closely with the lead therapist, Sam, the program director, Mike, and the family therapist, Elliot. Each of these individuals made such a huge impact on my mental health journey and I am just so grateful for them. They really do make a difference.

WOW!!! > Healing Pines Recovery is truly something special. I’ve been through other programs before, but nothing compares to the level of care, knowledge, and compassion I experienced here. From day one, I felt like more than just another client — I was part of a small, supportive community where every person, staff and client alike, genuinely cares about your recovery. Because of the small client number, there’s so much one-on-one time with counselors and staff. Each team member is incredibly knowledgeable in all aspects of recovery — many have walked this path themselves, which makes their insight and empathy feel real and grounded. The program isn’t “one size fits all” — it’s completely tailored to you, blending clinical therapy, spiritual work, and 12-step approaches in whatever way fits your journey best. The property itself is breathtaking — 40 acres of peace, with trails that feel designed for sunrises and sunsets. The living spaces are comfortable and spacious, and you never feel cramped or overlooked. And then there are the animals — three miniature donkeys (Kiwi, Andy, and Quill!) who are genuinely therapeutic and always seem to know when you need a moment of quiet connection. Plus, a few amazing dogs and cats that add a comforting sense of home. The curriculum is top-notch — both challenging and deeply healing. I especially loved the weekly music and art therapy sessions that gave us a creative way to process the tougher parts of recovery. Physical fitness is also a big focus here — we went to the gym five days a week, and Zach helped design personalized workout plans to rebuild strength and confidence. On top of that, there’s an indoor and outdoor pickleball court (yes, two!) and even a frisbee golf course, which we used for group therapy. There’s something powerful about talking through life while throwing a frisbee under the Colorado sky. Evenings often ended with fireside chats — open, judgment-free conversations where we could just be ourselves, laugh, and remember what real connection feels like. For me, those moments redefined what it means to have fun and feel safe in sobriety. What really sets Healing Pines apart, though, is the staff. Paul, the founder, has built an incredible team of people who radiate love, knowledge, and kindness. You can tell they’re here for the right reasons — their dedication and selflessness shine through in everything they do. Healing Pines Recovery changed my life. If you’re questioning whether it’s the right fit for you, it probably is. Give Paul a call — and if you need to talk to someone who’s been there, tell him to pass along my number. This place is pure magic, and I’ll be forever grateful for what it gave me. 100/10!

This place is the best thing since Color Television! 😁 Seriously though, this place in and of itself.. was a contributing factor to which saved my life in the sense that when I knew ‘I was done’.. I had the BEST support & amazing championing from some amazing people sharing a common goal of maintaining their sobriety while putting their focus on their physical wellbeing and self esteem in their bodies and minds rather than just the ‘mumbo-jumbo’ of traditional, socially-conditioned methods of recovery in addiction and, having said being championed; I’d like to pay a respectable nod to a specific person, Carson.. whom by all accounts went out of the ordinary to see me thru a rather unorthodox necessity for assistance at a time when I was on the right path, yet.. just simply needed a hand-up and a simple ‘break’ and was obliged to help make a difference in my path and how I launched into my life of recovery and fitness! As a result of continuity and perseverance in this said path.. I now have the privilege and utmost pleasure of saying I’m a volunteer & will be soon be of service to the community within, and look forward to continuing my journey in my own recovery and the journey of others in their journey of growth and success within their lives as they pursue their fitness goals and aspirations as well! I had the opportunity to help with some service work and lent my time to clean some of the workout equipment, specifically the medicine balls, to which are highly utilized by many, and after approximately 32 hours of deep cleaning.. many more are using this equipment more often as they look brand new now! You can see the picture attached! ENJOY USING THE EQUIPMENT WHEN YOU COME IN TO WORKOUT 🏋️‍♂️ & MAY YOUR BODIES BE WELL & WITH YOU! 😁😎 🤜🏼💥🤛🏼

In July 2025, I started IOP at DWR which was the best decision I ever made. Their staff are supportive and extremely knowledgeable; special shoutout to Rachel, Amanda, and Crystal for all of their endless support! During IOP, I relapsed more than once and was never treated differently because of it. Instead of criticizing my decisions, DWR provided me with the support and safe space to work through my relapses while still holding me accountable. I have now been sober just over one year and even though I am the one who makes the decision to continue my sobriety everyday, I owe DWR for giving me the tools and confidence to do so. I had my first surgery at AdventHealth Porter this week and it was a positive experience. All of the medical team made sure I was taken care of and answered all my questions. I was nervous but they helped me stay comfortable and had good humor through the whole experience. If I ever need surgery in the future, I would definitely try to schedule it here! Thank you for doing what you do!

My experience at The Raleigh House in Denver has been nothing short of life-changing. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt supported, understood, and genuinely cared for. The staff goes above and beyond to create an environment where healing and growth feel possible every single day. I especially want to highlight how incredible the alumni support is—Rico in particular. Rico is truly awesome. His dedication, compassion, and real-world insight make a huge impact. He relates to people in a way that’s honest and motivating, and his presence makes the alumni program feel strong, welcoming, and inspiring. You can tell he genuinely cares about everyone’s success long after they leave treatment. The rest of the staff is equally remarkable. They are knowledgeable, patient, and committed to helping each person find the tools and confidence they need to move forward. The blend of professionalism and heart is something you don’t find everywhere, and it’s a big reason why The Raleigh House stands out. If you or someone you love is seeking a place that combines expert treatment with true human connection, I can’t recommend The Raleigh House enough. Their team—and people like Rico—make all the difference.

Very kind and trauma informed over at the department that specializes in developmental disabilities. AMHR has been a transformative experience for me. As a woman beginning to confront deep-seated childhood trauma, I found their specialized programs and expert therapists to be exactly what I needed. The staff’s expertise in childhood trauma recovery and adult PTSD is evident in every session. The group therapy sessions are particularly impactful. They’re structured and led by seasoned professionals, providing a safe and supportive environment reminiscent of high-end residential treatment centers. The sense of community and understanding among participants has been invaluable to my healing journey. AMHR’s commitment to individualized care, combined with their comprehensive services, makes them stand out in the field of mental health and recovery. I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone serious about their recovery journey.

Just did a walk in intake so far. The staff member Ian was exceptionally helpful, and polite, and a very kind and professional man..my boyfriend and I showed up ad walk ins just after working on cars all.day we were a bit messy. Ian didn't change his behavior towards us though. He was still very professional and spoke.to us the same way he spoke to all the other clients That's rare.. So far we love this place...

I feel like after seeing all of the one star reviews, it's my responsibility to share my experience. I have not posted a public review until this point because of the stigma of having mental health issues, but if it helps someone choose to get the help they need, it's worth it. Denver Springs positively improved my quality of life, twice. I have always felt cared for on a personal level, I have learned coping skills unique to my diagnosis, and the therapists and nurses are highly skilled. Please remember, to be successful at someplace like Denver Springs, you get out of it what you put into it. If you do the bare minimum in therapy or don't dig deep into what's causing certain behaviors you can't expect to improve. DS gave me so many skills, in a safe and positive environment. I am forever grateful.
