I have been with MCCA in New Milford for close to a year now. I loved that the groups I did were run by different counselors depending on the group and the day of the week it was (bc it s important to get a different perspective on things) and when I was done with all my group therapy, and started my one on ones twice a month, I was lucky enough to have Susan be my therapist..and she ROCKS

They can provide treatment and support if you are struggling with an eating disorder, mood or personality disorder, substance abuse and addiction or want help deali | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I've been with NMHBH for(maybe) 20 years now.I've seen 3 women counselors. I literally walked right out in the middle of each session. One woman was constantly late. She would go to her office and spend even more time. Eventually, I was called in and ONLY had 10-15 minutes left to talk. All the while, she was putzing at her desk with her back towards me.Another counselor, I was explaining how I feel with the physical aspects of having anxiety and panic attacks. To me it is physical. So, when I mentioned all this to her,TRUE STORY!!!...AND I QUOTE...(with a tick of the tongue)she replies,"Oh! I don't believe that!!"I was in complete shock ! I gave the counselor a piece of my mind and stormed out of the office.I thought counselors are supposed to be sympathetic. Hmmm?? Listens well and has GOOD advice to give that will certainly help with your everyday difficult situations, troubles, uncertainties etc. I received no helpful feedback. I don't seem to get along with any female counselors or women in general. I'm still a patient at NMHBH. Now I only go every 3 months just to check in & review my medications. This is only MY experience. Perhaps you'll find a counselor for yourself & hopefully be able to establish a relationship that is detrimental to your well-being.Thank you for your time.Mz. Murphy

I am a two time alum of High Watch and I owe the place so much. The first time I went in July 2023 was the first time I ever tried to get sober - I was terrified to enter treatment, didn t want the help, was angry and frankly wasn t ready to get sober. High Watch nonetheless showed me so much love, support and encouragement during my 28 day stay, and in the months following my discharge. They met me where I was and didn t give up trying to help me. This stay at High Watch was the first time in my life I felt like I belonged somewhere.I came back 6 months later in February 2024 and this time stayed for 4.5 months - completed the regular 28 day program and also the 3 month extended guest program. I am still sober today. If it hadn t been for my extremely positive experience during round 1, I would never have returned. The staff at High Watch genuinely care about every single guest there, the therapists and group sessions are great, and the campus is beautiful. There are quite a lot of rules / a rigid daily schedule, which was sometimes tough but for me I needed this kind of structure. What s also cool is that so many (I think the majority) of staff members are in recovery themselves and many have gone through High Watch so they get what it s like to be in treatment and how hard it is, especially at the beginning. High Watch also helps set you up with plans after your discharge and have great connections with sober livings and IOPs to help with your aftercare plans. For what it s worth, the food is also amazing

We had to send my daughter to Newport after it was recommended by an acute place that she needed residential and longer treatment than acute care. I didn t have the best impression when I first contacted them. I was mislead and thought I could pay a certain amount to send her closest to us in the Charlotte location but turned out that was not accurate and had to send her to the Connecticut location. Then reading the Google reviews scared us. That s why I wanted to share my experience. My daughter was in the dragonfly group. Everyone was truly amazing. Alexa was always in constant communication with us. She was our family therapist and dealt with all our concerns. She was always there for us when we needed her. Her teacher Tea was in constant communication with my daughter s school and us. My daughter clicked with her personal therapist Amy which helped my daughter a lot. Lisa her roomSupervisor was great with dealing with issues. She got sick a few times and was well taken care of. This place never made my daughter feelinstitutionalized. She enjoyed her MMA and equine therapy. They took them offsite for allDifferent activities including church. When it snowed they went outside and went sledding and snowball fights. All the assistants and aids were so friendly and caring. My daughter truly loved being at Newport and because of them my daughter is on a good healing path. I felt so comfortable with her being so far away. I would highly recommend this place to someone with a child that needed help.

It was the best place for me to come to in the state I was in and honestly Jenni, Heather, and Michelle are THE best counselors I ve ever met and worked with out of all the rehabs I ve been to. They believed in me when I didn t believe in myself. And they all go above and beyond to help any client with whatever they can. They are the reason I have remained so connected to the program, as well as helping me get back on my feet and in sober living and building a community and network in recovery. I have seen some positive reviews here but I ve also seen some negative, and it s a shame those people didn t have the experience I did because these counselors not only saved my life but they have changed it and me for the better. I don t know where I would be right now without their help, guidance, and assistance, and I fully plan on doing everything in my power to stay clean so I can come back one day, share my story for their groups to show that recovery is possible, the program works, and if you allow these amazingly generous women to help you that you too can have a life beyond your wildest dreams.

The current director, Dan Murray was my therapist and he was so gentle and caring. He cared a great deal about all of his patients. Many of us are still friends and remember him so fondly.I also went on to Angelus House at 18 and finished my senior year of high school at the local public high school. As a loved one of someone going into a detox facility, I had a wonderful experience with Arms Acres. Before he got to Arms Acres, I took my loved one to another facility. He had a bed and it was planned for him to go there. I dropped him off. They knew that he had used before he got there. Many people do before going into rehab. I also told them he hadn t slept in 24hrs because of the anxiety going there. I made sure he was checked in and left. I was about to hit home 3hrs away and he called me to tell me he that they called him a cab to go to another place but he didn t know where. I told him to put me on the phone with the front desk. They told me he was going to another place because the intake took too long because he was inebriated. They gave me the name of the place - Arms Acres. I hung up to call Arms to confirm he had a bed there. When I called they had no idea. No name. No call from the place. Nothing. I spoke to Angel at Arms Acres - who truly was an angel!! I was scared to death because I knew he was in a cab with no where to go if they wouldn t take him. It was freezing cold out and I was 3 hrs away!!! Angel and their staff were so awesome. They made a bed for him even though they didn t really have any. Angel assured me he would be ok. Thank God for her! I was soooo furious with the other place. I m not mentioning their name because I know there are people who truly care and those who do not. The people at that place that night def seemed to not care where he was going to end up and never confirmed with Arms Acres that he even had a bed there. He was on methadone and other medication. He had a successful detox at Arms and then went to another place to do his rehab work. Thank you so much to Angel and the other staff who were there that night!!

Off to an okay start, has a long way to go. I would give three and a half stars if it was allowed. Love every single staff and faculty member a part of BH Care I have been in contact with, for the most part. They kind of need to be shallow with you and not too invasive probably due to HIPPA and some sort of fear of being sued. I went here voluntarily, and they have diagnosed me with something pretty heavy anyone would have a hard time with. Since I have no kids, and no court record, I feel as if they considered my case to not be that important. I am not made for medications, and believe it would make my condition worse, and I'm very lucky to be sober and have healthy coping mechanisms. The IOP is ran by very nice people, but I could imagine if someone had to pay they would consider it a waste of money and time. I really came there not knowing what to do with my life, and I'm really hoping my now appointed case worker understands how crucial figuring out what I can do with my life at the age of 32 is very important and I'm at a make it or break it age. I just feel as if since I have been involved since February has been a waste of time when I still can't find a job or what to think of my life. No answers besides a heavy diagnosis. Anyways I love the staff at BH Care and the owner as well, I just wish that I was taken seriously for I am in a crisis there's just no drugs or kids or court involved.

I am extremely grateful for the care and attention from all the staff I've come to expect. It is astounding that these wonderful therapists, each with an unimaginable client to therapist ratio, are able successfully taylor individualized treatment objectives for their clients. We are able to get consistent, engaging, & experienced professionals helping to guide us through the maze that is mental illness. As overwhelmed, underfunded, and understaffed mental health service providers are apt to be, we are a few of the lucky ones. Way too many mentally ill people don't receive and/or have the resources to access this essential health care. They fall between the cracks and are endangered, or have the potential to endanger others. All in all, I can't say enough good things about my therapist, my PA, and all the administrative staff. They have always been kind, professional, friendly, helpful, and most importantly, empathetic. Thank you all!

| Connecticut Counseling Centers is a behavioral health center with outpatient treatment programs in Danbury, Connecticut. Treatment programs include medication-assisted treatment, an intensive outpatient program, outpatient treatment for mental health issues, outpatient treatment for substance misuse, and medication-assisted recovery support. Connec | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I can't say enough wonderful things, about this extraordinary place. Initially, being from San Diego, after reading the terrible reviews, I was so apprehensive, reluctant to go here, to the point of getting sick, thinking this place sounds awful. I couldn't have been more wrong. Shame on these people writing those terrible reviews. It's a bunch lies, on truths, fictitious statements. I went in expecting the worst. ALMOST IMMEDIATELY UPON ENTERING THE BUILDING, I KNEW HOW LONG THOSE REVIEWS WERE. IT WAS RIGHT IN MY FACE I've never experienced so many wonderful people, all in one place. You'd be lucky to get just one kind person, but in this place, the love is everywhere. I mean it. I can't say enough. No judgement, no looking down, no feelings of shame because of the way they speak to you. To the contrary, they treat you wonderfully, with kindness and compassion and with a real desire to help. God bless every single person at this facility. They truly are doing GOD'S work. Angels, here on earth, to help those in pain, we numb ourselves, with the drugs, just to get through another day. If I can do it, after my hellish life, I stand confident, anyone is capable. This place touched my heart. I go by actions and their actions at CT Counseling, tell me all I need to know. They ;I've what they're doing and truly care about other people, with a genuine desire to help others. There is no question about it.

Like ALL programs in or out patient if you WANT to stop and only need the means, guidance and support to do it than this
Is the place . If it was forced upon you or just not ready then may be the place but it may take you more than 1 attempt . In the beginning it’s about reducing amount of your intake substance as you increase amount of medication. That amount and that pace is unique to the individual and CCC recognizes that and also respects that . As long as you trend in proper direction and continue to show progress you have the support of your Counselor. Once stabilized they develop your treatment plan. When you have decreased and eliminated substances and have found a comfortable level of medication dosage that is when you now replaced your bad habit routine with a daily monitored stabilized routine that also is unique to the comfort level of individual discussing a wide range of topics with your assigned counselor: once trust is earned having clean random monthly tests you don’t have to be at the facility unless you chose to and you can begin to take home monitored medication to responsibly proceed with your outpatient program. Your counselor will encourage the timing the is best to decrease at the pace that works for you until you are done and substance free. So much better than 30 day, 90 day ,12 month 0r any predetermined length of time programs because every person is unique whether they feel confident they can do it in a year, 3 yrs, 5 , 10 or stay with this support system as a new part of life what is important is that new life is what you WANTED to achieve and join the team of success stories! In most other reviews I agree that it is about money for the center , but what business , paying their employees ,is not about making money to stay afloat? Also not all counselors are ex addicts that have felt & know exactly what & how we feel, but we can open up & let them learn about the uncontrollable disease & struggles of how our mind works!

My counselor was respectful, responsible & made me feel comfortable whenever I was talking with him. Receptionists at the front desk are always so nice, the whole place, in general, seems more caring willing to talk instead of simply pushing pills into your system.

Doctor Clark doesn't know how to communicate at all. She gave me a ADHD extended release medication , and when I asked her to lower the dose or take me off the extended release because it was too high, she refused. Now shes trying to prescribe me anxiety meds for my ADHD. As far as the counseling goes, all of the counselors are excellent and have helped me allot. If u want counseling for your ADHD, I'd definitely recommend coming here. As far as the doctor, I'd go elsewhere.
