On Saturday November 1 my brother-in-law Louis Toscano was brought in to the ER at Advent Health hospital Lake Placid and later admitted. He died there in Tuesday November 4th.
I wanted to take the time to say thanks to Mark and Leslie, his nurses, for their professionalism, thoughtfulness and kindness. The hospital staff brought us drinks and snacks (twice). One thoughtful employee (sorry I didn’t get her name) brought us cots to the waiting area when she realized we all were spending the nights by my relatives side. This nice lace even checked back and asked how my brother in law was doing.
I was so impressed with the kindness, professionalism and compassion of the staff at Advent Health Lake Placid! Bravo for a job well done! Thank you for making this terrible time easier for us. God bless you all! Julie and Rocco Toscano and family

What a wonderful health care hospital. I was very pleased and thankful for the excellent care by all before and after my surgery. This place an amazing regeneration program when I first came into cross training I tryed everything to go back home. Not for my family but for my selfish reasons. After ing being there I realized I was a very selfish person I was in addiction of drugs and achohol for 2 to 3 years before. This regeneration program helped me grow up and become a good Cristian man it is a lump sum of time so you think but if you look at it as an investment it is the greatestt one you can make. Now rewriting this I have graduated and have been sober allmost 2 years and allmost one year out of the program. This place has gave me the tools to live life sober. Doctors and staff are wonderful. I came in feeling depressed and anxious. Dr. Madj Alsamman knows psychiatry and cares greatly for each patient that comes into the unit. I love him so much! Dr. Dameff is also very knowledgeable and fun!
Naomi has classes each day to help your thinking and behaviors. I learned a great deal from her. I will use the techniques she taught me to navigate the world as I go out from the comfort of Shorepoint Behavioral Hospital.
The RNs like Sandy and Christian are also knowledgeable in behavioral health and are always willing to lend an ear and advice to patients. The techs like Maryellen are so concerned for the people there as well.
My time there was well worth it.

I am forever grateful to this place. The staff is incredible, they truly care and put their heart and soul in everything they do. Donald was my therapist, Brandy was my case manager; they were both wonderful. The other therapists and case managers that weren’t even mine were a vital part in my recovery. I suggest utilizing all the staff you can, including the BHT’s. They want to help, and they definitely did. The reviews talking about “only an hour a day in the pool,” or the “gym isn’t good enough,” if that’s what you’re taking away with you in your recovery, then good luck. We had groups every day of the week, which is a necessary part in our recovery. They had activities for us every night, so we could build connections while having fun. The pool and the gym were extra gifts when we had the opportunity to use them. I would have loved it without. If you’re considering taking the steps to recovery, 100% recommend.

So from the first day I arrived I was made to feel very welcomed. They made sure I ate and was very comfortable. The staff was amazing, the techs are very understanding and relatable people. Loved all the nurses and providers. My case worker got so much done for me during my Stay and my therapist really helped me figure out my triggers and trauma and I loved the facilitators as well. Even after I left the staff still check on me till this day to make sure I’m alright. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re serious about recovery.

Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Most of them were in recovery themselves. Outings to watch the sunrise on the beach was awesome. When I was there, there was a hurricane coming and we evacuated to New Orleans and I’m live in Indiana so all that traveling was kind of fun for me.! I’d highly recommend the beach house when you want to get sober

Today without her ! All in all I’ve been too over 10 rehabs in 12 years and I could never get it right until CRC . It was hard but it was worth it . Graduation rate is low because it’s for the people that are ready to get sober and are willing to put forth the effort and sacrifice necessary to succeed. Heather the counselors and the doctor run a wonderful facility here. They offer freedom from active addiction a promise of renewed hope and a purposeful driven life free from addiction. My stay here a year ago also provided me the opportunity to live in their sober living home. The art, equine, yoga and reki thrapy sessions are incredible. I really liked the bio bed as well as my free time on the patio. 7 Summit Pathways reintroduced me to mindful meditation, grounding techniques and journaling. My counselor Doug was very encouraging. I was able to get a job near to their sober living house in Valrico and protect my anonymity. They had a nice dinner for the holidays and other clients families would join us. The van was always a safe drive and i always felt reassured and comfortable. They offer a native American Wellbriety meeting on Wednesday at 7pm i look forward to returning to again soon. Alot of these examples have helped me as i was able to keep my sponsor and take steps in the 12 step Narcotics Anonymous program. 7 Summit Pathways helped me keep living a productive good and healthy life. I just wanted to say how incredibly helpful and amazing Heather was tonight during a crisis. I reached out at midnight about a family member and was blown away by her kindness, willingness to talk/help, etc. I have worked in the substance abuse field for over 15 years and been a patient as well. I know that parts of the system can be broken at times. Heather went above and beyond what I have ever seen anyone do. She really cares and is a true angel.

I went to detox here last summer. I had never been anywhere for detox or treatment and I was terrified before I arrived. The staff were all very kind and supportive. I actually had fun and learned a lot! They assisted me in getting into a Post Hospitalization Program, which I attended and completed. They still check on me to see him I'm doing and see if there's anything I need. I highly recommend Amethyst!
