I want to start out by saying that this place will always have a special place in my heart. I did detox and residential and it gives you the start you need to rewire your brain and a great place to getaway from people places and things. First off, I want to thank the group facilitators Mimi and Melissa. These two have the best hearts and want the best for every client. They are the backbone to this rehab. Secondly, to my incredible therapist Maribel who took me under her wing and gave me tools I will never forget and helped me so much with my panic attacks. Thank you to the case managers Shonti and Shay for being there for me during my discharges! ALL the BHT techs who are amazing at what they do and each helped me incredibly, especially Tee, Sharida, Keyshawn, Gracey, Yazzel. Thank you Ray and Nivel for keeping us safe and making the environment as safe as it was for me. You guys are doing an incredible job. Thank you to Dez, Marley for the intake and biobed. The nursing staff and ESPECIALLY Kristen and Kristy (provider) who literally saved me from my panic attacks. And the cleaning crew who are amazing at their job. If I missed anyone, I apologize as there was so many people that helped me. I love you all regardless. This is a wonderful place to start your journey, it's what you make of it. Hang with those that are there to make their lives for better and your time here will go by quickly like it did for me. As a client at Banyan Sebring I have to say the staff was excellent. From the beginning they treated me with respect and care. Case managers Shay and Shanti were extremely helpful and supportive. The BHT staff was always hardworking and attentive of my needs and concerns. Neville, Michael, Jermaine, Latifah, Daja, Taliba, Nike, Keshawn, Grace , Shawn, Yaser and Hanoy truly care about your comfort. Dez, the Intake Coordinator is just the coolest and sweetest person you could meet and made coming into a new place easier than I thought it would be, tip, ask for the bio bed it’s a life saver. The Nurses here don’t just dispense medicine the care about how they are affecting you, Don, Kristen and Sharleene are just a few, but all of them care just as much. Ranisha was my therapist and I felt extremely blessed to have her, she genuinely helped me with seeing things much more clearly and I’m leaving a much better person for it. Last but not least, group coordinators, Mimi and Mellisa were truly amazing and made my day so much better helping me learn so much more about myself. I’m running groups with care and love. They are truly the kindest people you will ever meet. Some people may come in thinking they don’t belong here, but honestly, the staff cares more than you could ever know. The Lake Recovery truly changed my life. Last November, I made the decision to enter a 30-day inpatient treatment program because I knew I needed more help than the people who loved me could give me on their own. I walked in carrying years of trauma, hurt, shame, anger, fear, and emotions I had learned to survive instead of actually heal from. From the beginning, the staff helped me feel supported, understood, and safe enough to finally start doing the difficult work on myself. Treatment did not magically make life perfect, but it gave me tools, perspective, self-awareness, and a completely different way of looking at my life and my trauma. I especially want to give the biggest possible shoutout to my therapist, Katherine Fanning Wesley. I genuinely do not believe I would have been able to complete those 30 days without her. Katherine met me where I was, pushed me when I needed to be pushed, gave me compassion when I needed grace, and helped me recognize the difference between the things that happened to me and the person I am. The Therapy is definitely top notch. I’m bougie as it comes so I was a little bummed that their hot tub didn’t work they could invest in a better pontoon boat, but those two things didn’t interfere with the care that I received. She helped me understand my triggers, work on impulse control, set healthier boundaries, become more intentional with my decisions, and stop allowing my trauma to define my entire identity. Stop allowing my job become my entire identity. She also helped me find my laugh again and reminded me that healing can mean using the painful parts of your story to become a better, stronger, more loving version of yourself. I still have hard days and I am still a work in progress, but I can honestly say I do not think, react, or carry myself the way I did before treatment. The growth I have experienced since walking through those doors is something I will always be grateful for. To Katherine and everyone at The Lake Recovery: thank you for giving me tools when I did not have them, perspective when I could not see clearly, and support during one of the most vulnerable times of my life. Seeking help was one of the best decisions I have ever made, and I will never be embarrassed to say that. Thanks for the luxury facility that felt closer to home. The concierge were always there and willing to help in anyway they possibly could. If you are struggling and wondering whether getting help is worth it, it absolutely can be. Give yourself the opportunity to heal.

I made an error in my communication in regard to my need for a future appointment which caused the appointment to be canceled. I called a soon as I received notification of the cancellation, in a bit of a panicked concern. By the end of the day, I was advised that my appointment was back on the schedule the same as originally scheduled. Valiant Recovery allowed me the options to discover my worth .Once I truly unpacked my bags and settled in, the Counselors and Staff put in just as much and you can guarantee more at all times! There wasn't a moment that went by when Valiant couldn't not handle every scenario thrown at them by addicts who deserve the grace,yet don't realize the cost that goes into not believing in yourself. Made sure if clients requested services that the proper help needing to fulfill those services where found in a more than timely manner!Above and beyond. Diets adhered too per clients request, Meals always prepared on pm shift with love for the next day. My very own room with a more than comfortable bed to call my sanctuary or home away from home. And let's not forget the Art room for art Therapy sessions and The Amazing Library with several puzzle tables huddled with a selection of therapy puzzles included into the large wall of Self Help, Spiritual, Fiction, Non Fiction, mystery and regular old novels, Different bibles,ECT. Another corner with a white board for the possibility of group sessions in the Library at other Times. Classes begin at 830 am and allow clients to explore into the realizations that birthed the problem within most of us. For an hour at a time little baby steps , Coming from someone who as a native to Charlotte county was born and raised here dealt with a 23 year active addiction streak. Let's face it a luxurious more than comfortable coming off the streets to comfort real down to earth comfort.30 days isn't an option to fix anything with 23 years engrained into someone's past who needs to be mentaly reparented.so check out the 90 day program.Thank God for Valiant and there Staff.2025

Went into the program after the COVID era. Did NOT want to go at first, or be sober, but it was either this or Jail. Went into the program, was almost dismissed a few times cause of my childish actions, and somewhere along the lines i started to actually "work" the program. I found JOY, HAPPINESS, and CHARACTER. Became a man i was okay looking myself in the mirror, and someone who loves the Lord and all he is doing in this world. Ended up staying past the program for a few years to continue growing myself before leaving before becoming staff. Still engaged with the ministry and love going out to visit. This place is Special !! Its not an easy program, it may feel weird or foreign at first, but i know this: If you want a real shot at a different life, this is the place to do it. I didn't even want to be sober going into this place, and now life looks completely different. I am a man of faith now, and will forever be grateful for Dunklin, the staff, and the many chances they gave me to get it right. If you want it bad enough, this place will give you the opportunity to change it around.

I don't think a day goes by that I don't thank dunklin and God for saving my son's life. Every time I got a phone call in the middle of the night I thought it was the police calling to tell me my son has died from an overdose. Through the mercy and the grace of God, Dunklin was put into my son's life and an entire family was forever changed. Thank you god and thank you dunklin for saving Bobby Ricchiuti. This place an amazing regeneration program when I first came into cross training I tryed everything to go back home. Not for my family but for my selfish reasons. After ing being there I realized I was a very selfish person I was in addiction of drugs and achohol for 2 to 3 years before. This regeneration program helped me grow up and become a good Cristian man it is a lump sum of time so you think but if you look at it as an investment it is the greatestt one you can make. Doctors and staff are wonderful. I came in feeling depressed and anxious. Dr. Madj Alsamman knows psychiatry and cares greatly for each patient that comes into the unit. I love him so much! Dr. Dameff is also very knowledgeable and fun! Naomi has classes each day to help your thinking and behaviors. I learned a great deal from her. I will use the techniques she taught me to navigate the world as I go out from the comfort of Shorepoint Behavioral Hospital. The RNs like Sandy and Christian are also knowledgeable in behavioral health and are always willing to lend an ear and advice to patients. The techs like Maryellen are so concerned for the people there as well. My time there was well worth it. Much love for all. ❤️
