I had the chance to visit The Refuge recently to get a feel for what it's all about, and I was beyond impressed. I spent a whole month of May at the (refuge) for severe anxiety, severe depression, and severe DPDR. When I got there, I had lost almost 30 pounds because I couldn’t eat and wasn’t leaving the house. When I left there, I still had work to do, but I was able to function again. My therapist Naomi went out of her way on many occasions to help me,, and my psychiatrist Francis work to help me find the right combination and dosage of medication. I really really enjoyed the art therapy with Kelli and the yoga classes were also great. I am gluten-free and the kitchen stuff also went out of their way to make sure that I had options at every meal. I only give it four stars out of five because nothing is perfect… Some of the classes were a little repetitive, but I still got a lot out of them. If you are struggling with mental health issues and seeing a psychiatrist at home is not enough, I would highly recommend The (refuge).

I am a counselor and recently a person I know had an unexpected mental health crisis. I am experienced in mental health and what to look for and Harmony Hills provided excellent care to her! Most importantly, she received quality mental health care! She also reported great food, accommodations, enjoyable activities, and overall compassion and care. The staff, especially Eddie, Leah, Christine, and Nicole were collaborative and were professional and personable throughout the intake to her completion of the program. I am happy and relieved that she has recovered well and can't say enough good things about Harmony Hills. I would and will recommend them to my clients and anyone who needs residential treatment. They were a Godsend!

If you are thinking about going to Harmony Hill, I would recommend to go as soon as you can for help you need. Referred through Truehealth for adult outpatient therapy. Quiet and clean environment. Intake process is respectful, thorough, and informative. Telehealth services are offered. Fantastic sliding fee scale and low-income/underinsured resources/services offered. Lots of options for people looking to manage complex trauma.
The medication clinic has some wildly rude staff but also very helpful staff, which helps offset the rudeness. The physician Anne Roy is great. No telehealth, which is inconvenient for anyone with transportation restrictions. Not easy to reach front desk and have to go in person for authorizations and any updates.

Went to the VA clinic today as a walk-in to inquire about a possible repair for my hearing aids. I fully expected to have to leave them and have them send them out for repairs.
I was absolutely blown away when the audiologist immediately took my hearing aids and told me that he could repair them (install new speakers) while I waited.

This was my first visit to Dr. Nyckowski, and I was very impressed! The doctor was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything clearly, which made me feel comfortable. I came in for skin tag removal, and the process was quick and easy. I also had a mole removed, which I was nervous about, but the doctor performed it so efficiently that I felt no pain at all. I have been extremely impressed with Dr. Nyckowski's knowledge and ability! He immediately diagnosed my severe rosacea and eczema after observing my skin in a single session and was able to prescribe a regimen and medications that have FINALLY truly helped deal with my symptoms! The 3 previous dermatologists (including one overseas) were unable to recognize or help me deal with the severity of my issues. 2023 is gone! And now I can go into 2024 with a new attitude and a new life mostly thankful for Perspectives 2. I made some dumb decisions last year that I ended up paying the price for. I consider myself smart and well educated but when alcohol does your thinking its a games changer. I ended up in jail with a DUI and court ordered treatment. The blessing in disguise was the court ordered treatement. I went 12 weeks to group thearpy at Perspectives. I was reluctant and not excited about going until I got there. All of us were in the same boat....nervous, shamed, scared about facing the consequences of our poor decisions. Perspectives group sessions were awesome and extremely helpful. They gave you practical suggestions to help with your addictions and how to deal with the pain you caused others and yourself. The staff that ran these sessions were incredible mainly because they truly cared! It was not a job to them but they had compassion for what your were going through in fact most of them faced similiar situations. I "had" to go to these treatments but would easily have volunterred to go after seeing what they had to offer. Great discussions with a staff that emplified compassion to every one in the class. When you know you messed up and are already down on yourself it is comforting to know folks at Perspectives 2 was there to listen, suggest and most of all show they really cared about your well being and getting you on the right track. They continue to follow up with me a year later! Jamie is awesome in her care and concern....Kudos to her and her staff. Thank you Perspectives 2 for showing honest concern and compassion!

This place is wonderful, they were treating pregnant woman back 2015 when myself an others felt we had no hope, NO ONE would touch us. They live & breathe recovery. They're local to the area, An yes a smaller office but don't lack in the resources to help you and the actual drive to do so! An if Dr.Logan doesn't have a book out by now...he should consider doing so! He's one of the most knowledgeable in the state regarding M.A.T-Outpatient Treatment.
They accept most insurances (yes, including Medicaid) So don't wait till tmro (again) like I did. Call them!

I was referred to Pamela a couple of weeks after my wife of 33 years passed away unexpectedly in January of this year. Pamela was a Godsend. She was vital in helping me to navigate the grieving process by going through-not around or avoiding it. While i will always love and miss my wife, Pamela has helped me to start to live my life again. This place has saved my life. As an addict they have taught me how to avoid relapse and how to deal with stress and life situations that caused my addiction to begin. The staff is great and gives one on one attention to meet the clients needs. Brother Floyd Jones, Matt Staten, are basically on campus 24 hrs a day and readily available to help as needed. The after care provided when finishing the program over seen by brother Mike Moody helped with my exit back into society. Pastor Tim has been a great role model in my sobriety and taught me how to walk out my recovery in the path of God. All in all I consider this place my home and a great place not only to get my life together but how to become a man of God and live my life with integrity.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the care and compassion shown by the staff at the Center for Discovery in Maitland, Florida. From the very beginning, they treated my daughter as if she were their own, walking alongside her through every stage of her recovery journey. Tristin and Kathleen, in particular, went above and beyond, providing not just expert care but genuine empathy, making my daughter feel understood and supported in every step.
The admissions department also deserves special recognition for their dedication in ensuring my daughter received the help she desperately needed. As an overly involved parent, I needed constant communication, and the team was always on top of it. Whether it was updates, reassurance, or addressing concerns, I always felt informed and involved in my daughter's recovery. Like any treatment facility, they aren’t perfect, but the heart and commitment they have toward their clients and their families is unmatched. I've been at Center for Discovery in Maitland since I left residential at Monteverde and it has been a wonderful experience overall. I've received so much support from all of the therapists, dietitians, diet techs, etc. They take time out of their day to talk to you if you're struggling and the care is really personalized, they take a lot of time getting to know you even if you aren't their primary client. The staff has gone above and beyond to give me and my peers so much support.

im from savannah ga, and I had the pleasure of meeting a very kind young man today! he came in and asked if I had a sweet tooth and showed me all these delicious looking cheesecakes and beignets. I got the cookies & cream and mango cheesecake. I also got the Nutella beignets. let me tell you...these sweet treats are the best ive had in a while!!!! so so worth it and he was SO SO sweet. This place offers a safe environment off the streets and off drugs. October 6th I decided to get out from living in a tent for 5+ years and with an addiction that was fully running my life. Lifestream detox on Tally road saved my life. Not only did I have a safe place to detox but after three days they sent me to the hospital where I was out into ICU with sepsis and a spider bite with mersa along with my blood pressure tremendously low I kept passing out. I got hooked up with the Anthony house recovery place before I even left the hospital. A week later I returned to the detox to get my things and to discharge myself from lifestream. The Anthony house said bc it was on a Friday there was no way of transporting me to them so the only other option is have was the
street and back in the environment with the drugs. I was able to talk with two the ladies who worked there and the company did pay the ride fare for Lyft to the Anthony house so I could start my recovery journey. I completed the residential recovery program and all their requirements. I started getting set up with GED classes they have there along with my case plan classes I was already required to take. Ex. Parenting, healthy relationships, co dependency, grievance, 12 steps, finance, and they do take you to NA meetings. counseling sessions with a great great counselor Ms Jamie. I've never had a great counselor I was comfortable enough to talk to till I met her. She goes above and beyond for her consumers/clients. There's other classes they provide. They do have a on site daycare for young kids. One thing I did struggle with was they didn't allow kids older then 13 years old. My kids are teens under 18. I started from my rock bottom in a tent out in the street with a huge drug addiction and 8 months later I'm following my dreams. I'm 9 months clean and sober with a career, a home/apartment, my family back in my life, my sanity and my life I was able to get all of it back with making that one step. I highly recommend this place. It's your recovery and sobriety and if you want it as badly as I did you have to consistently fight for your life and fight your self obsession to become a better version then what you were. #wedotecover #justfortoday

I severed at total freedom for many year. I know I'm still alive today because of this program and Ministry I learned how to have a personal relationship with god through Christ Jesus. Though my walk has not been perfect my road has been paved with His grace and I can say that because of this place my life is different. I still deal with daily fights but at least I'm in the fight no longer a casualty of the war. Though this place is not easy it's solid, it's real, and it's truth.!!!
