This facility has some of the most caring, kindhearted staff you could ever find, anywhere. People are treated as such, not as failures, not as dollar signs either. The people here are so compassionate, and they truly strive to help patients regain control of their lives and health. They lack some of the ridiculous (in my opinion, anyway) requirements of some other similar places. For example, you may purchase a lock box from them or use one that you got elsewhere. And instead of refusing to allow anyone to charge any portion of their bill, regardless of payment history or details of when payment will be made and caught up, they are willing to work with people - they truly want to help, and they do just that. They provide a very welcoming, non-judgmrntal atmosphere. While I mentioned that they do not require some things that other places do, when it comes to the important policies, those designed to minimize chances of diversion as well as the chances someone continues taking dangerous combinations of medications, they do adhere to those...such as routine screens, weekly (less frequent upon phasing up a certain amount) meetings with counselor, etc. And meeting with the counselor is actually a productive experience, as you are encouraged to set goals; the counselor frequently checks one's progress and provides some extra accountability which may be just what someone needs to make those much-needed changes.

Recently had an alcohol detox for 5 days and while it felt like i was in jail, the staff was kind for the most part. Downsides are the fact you cant even see outdoors and the meals are pretty bad except for the desserts. That says a lot considering i dont really like sweets. I've been to almost every treatment center in the state of Georgia and a few in Alabama as well. I was more stubborn than most. However, when things got bad enough and I was willing to change, The Golden Rule taught me how to act like an adult and be responsible. They aren't going to put up with old behavior and I needed a place where I couldn't manipulate my way through. This place is hard work, but it works if you put in effort and give it a chance! Faith without works is dead.

After reading all of the reviews, I am so thankful for that psychic shift in perspective that the Big Book of AA speaks of! I believe that if someone is not ready to make the change necessary for longterm sobriety then their experience would be jaded, as it sounds in some of the reviews. My son has had a real battle with addiction and mental illness for the last 4 years. He finally agreed to go into another inpatient program and went to Reprieve this time. Previous rehab stints did not have much of an effect on him, and as soon as he was out, he went right back to his old habits. Reprieve was different. While he was at Reprieve, he would call me each week and tell me how he was learning about himself and different coping skills. This was not the case with other rehabs. As with any group setting, there will always be some angst when dealing with other individuals, but he managed to stay out of trouble, which was a first for him. He has been doing well since he got out, and I am learning to trust him again. For the first time in a very long time, he has a positive outlook and hope for the future. Reprieve's program works! I am very grateful he had the opportunity to go there.

In the 10+ years I have been battling addiction, 8 of which were in a MAT of some sort, and spanning across 5 US states, I have never encountered the level of compassion, professionalism, and just plain old fashioned wholeheartedness in the care and treatment radiating from every staff member at the Med Mark treatment center in Dothan. I was always just a number anywhere else. Here, I walk in the door and feel like they are happy I made it that day. This may seem like an exaggeration to some but it's considered an understatement by me. Thank you, Med Mark, for going that extra mile to help me.

For the size of the facility it is not that big but it is not messy or dirty and is organized from what I have seen.

I had an amazing experience there! Shaq was amazing, Mac was amazing, and and Cody was amazing!! Also, the therapists that I had there was amazing!!! I still went thru issues after I left there because of my own choices, but I have over a year clean now!!! I even work in treatment now myself!! But I will always have gratitude for GATC and the people there who helped me along the way in my journey!!!

We certainly have been blessed with our Alumni and Family Coordinator. I absolutely Love Hallie's Energy, Passion, and personality.
