Been going to the rt2 Sinnissippi Centers for over 16 years now off and on. It took a while to get to a point that I feel I'm getting the help I need as I came from other facilities that weren't helping me. Over the years I've had quite a few therapists and some were not a good fit but most have been genuinely concerned about my mental health. Not only do the councilors care but there are several programs to help people with just about anything they struggle with. I've recommended Sinnissippi to many people who have expressed wanting help and know a few who are now going there and are getting help. I've also seen people go with the idea that it will be a quick fix and that's just not how these things work. It takes time and repetition to get ourselves to a better mind state. This is the place to do it.

The receptionist (Kathy I believe) is such a sweet lady!! I enjoyed talking with her while I was checking in and she was extremely helpful. My counselor was Sheila and she was also very enjoyable to speak to and extremely empathetic. She gets straight to the point but is also a great conversationalist in between. Both Sheila and Kathy were helpful in ensuring I could create a schedule that worked for me. I called Thursday and had an appointment by Friday morning. I was very nervous at first, but felt welcome and comfortable by the end. I highly recommend choosing ASAC.

They do a lot to help the community. They're now called Area Substance Abuse Council (ASAC) but everybody knows them as New Directions and they keep themselves as New Directions in they phone book. Not to be confused with Clinton Substance Abuse Council.

I went here with a broken wrist and was seen almost immediately. They were able to X-ray me right inside of my room and gave me a cast and were able to discharge me before the 10:15. (We got here from Chestnut Mountain at about 9:30 pm) Very nice emergency room. Staff were all very nice.

They made sure we were comfortable, providing warm blankets and even food while we waited for test results. The nurse was especially helpful in assisting my brother to the car when we were leaving. All the staff from the check in process to my primary care treat me well. I never feel like I am a burden to the nurses and to my doctor. They take the time to listen and find the best treatment for me. I recommend them highly when I am asked about who to go see for general health care .

I want everyone to know I put a review up 5 months ago about Sterling apartments and the truth is I didn't think about what I was saying and how it was going to hurt someone's feelings because my mind was stuck in my emotions which does not excuse the review I left. The supervisor and all of the staff that works at Sterling Apartments are good people and care a lot so this means a lesson for me don't judge a book by its cover without getting to know the person. I am very sorry to the supervisor of our apartments and all the staff I offended it was not fair to any of them and my problems at the apartments are taken seriously please forgive the last review thank you!

I learned so much about addiction, coping skills, worked through trauma and personal troubles, and truly found myself enjoying my hobbies again. The group dynamic and social interaction is what really stands out the most to me. These people are amazing in helping us. You'll have your reviews that claim otherwise but those are people who don't want to follow rules or are not serious about recovery and leading a normal life. Im in a much better place because of them. Rules change but they post them and tell you. The counselors and nurses have their own set of rules to follow and shooting the messenger isn't very kind. I've had 3 counselors but one received a promotion, one moved away, and my current Pam is amazing. I get sound and useful advice from them all. They help me fix issues. They are not just talk. If you want your life back and truly want help id go here. I drive an hour and 45 minutes just to get help from them specifically. I regret none of the gas mileage...

Edited Review: I had to come back and update my review after a year and a half. In my last review, I gave them one star because no one ever answered the phone. It didn’t seem like they had a receptionist or enough staff to handle calls if one person was busy. Now, every time I call, someone answers right away and I don’t have to leave a voicemail anymore, which is great! They’ve improved so much compared to a couple of years ago. Their communication has also gotten much better — they now call you back promptly or send updates through the MyChart app regarding prescriptions or when they’ve sent them to your pharmacy. On top of that, the staff I’ve spoken with have all been very friendly and helpful. I really appreciate you guys listening to feedback and making positive changes.

I have never had a problem at the Robert Young center. They are not perfect, but no one is perfect. However I really do not like talking to a television screen instead of face to face with a person. This is very impersonal like talking to a robot.

Everyone I've talked to at Sinnissippi has been friendly, kind, and helpful. My counselor and psychiatrist are especially wonderful and a huge help to me. I'm so grateful that this place exists and that I can finally get the help I've needed for so many years.

The treatment provided by both Mike and Kim is beyond incredible, they have differing dynamics of counseling that complement eachother in ways that have helped me with so much more than alcoholism rehabilitation. From my experience, if you take the classes seriously and be honest with them, you can learn more about yourself and achieve a level of personal growth greater than a counselor or medication could ever provide.

I was just passing through Freeport, Illinois, when this building caught my attention. It stood out enough that I decided to stop and take a closer look. There's something about its architecture and presence that makes it hard to miss. I didn't spend a lot of time there, but I'm glad I stopped by.
