Amazingly different than the other one right down the street! The lady that helped me was really sweet, helpful and patient!! So thankful for that! I was trying to reach out to a family member who I knew would love to see a couple of things they had but after 2 hours of shopping in a tiny store and waiting for a response I had to leave....lately almost every time I go to the thrift shops around the employees are rude, judgmental, and suspicious. For someone who struggles with even leaving their home even for a few minutes it's not the kind of experience that I hope for...but today that sweet, beautiful and kind woman made me feel like I was a VALUED CUSTOMER..

If you need help anytime soon, don’t count on it here. Waited a month extremely uncomfortable under the impression of seeing a doctor, and came in on my only day off work… to pay $160 for someone to type basic info I could have done myself in 5 minutes, and told 2 more months for a doctor! Who knows what tomorrow holds for your mental health. Don’t wait, find help. Added - It has now been 2 months since I have written this review, and for me back on a treatment plan at different office. Finally am starting to get back to progressing. Today I’ve received a bill from sinnisippi demanding I pay another $40… I had been unexpectedly dropped by my insurance, then following, my primary care. I was uninsured, with no where to go. The out of pocket price for this appointment I was told was $160, as stated above. I was already struggling financially but under the impression I was going to see a doctor, I found a way to pay for it. Only to find I had been mislead. Now 2 months later, mysterious charges with the threat of collections. Sad.

Excellent professional service, AFFORDABLE evaluation price, great staff, next day appointment, unbiased assesment, and much more offered at this location. The counselor, Jack Phillips, evaluated me on 1/15/2019. We talked for about an hour and he DID NOT recommend additional treatment or classes. He was attentive and listened to what I was saying about what and why I was ordered for an evaluation. $$$$ WAS NOT his motive; an accurate assessment was his focus. Jack thanks again for the job recommendations and I appreciate your services. Ashleigh (the receptionist) was VERY helpful!!! She gave me plenty of copies of the evaluation assesment, and even faxed proof of the evaluation to the concerning parties. I could not be happier with Changes Place and its business; I was treated like a person not a customer or dollar sign!!!! Thanks again, your the BEST!!!

When I arrived at the rehab in the early spring of 2009 I didn't like being there one bit. But after making friends and finding out it wasn't so bad I started to have a much better time. I didn't stay as long as I probably should have but when my best friend at the rehab overdosed in the bathroom and died, I couldn't stay any longer. It wasn't the same. His name was James Jaggers. Since I did not complete inpatient therapy which was for only a month because I felt like I wasn’t getting the therapy I needed but the helping you with coping skills which was good they decided to completely cancel my psychiatrist appointment with Collette saying it’s a requirement to finish iop (all of sudden now it’s a requirement) to see her so they canceled on me for the THIRD TIME IN A ROW. I’ve been trying to see this lady for literal months now trying to get HELP before I even considered going to this iop program which is is in the same building but it is separate and in a different area of getting psychiatric help. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANNA BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. Go somewhere else. I should have listened to my original therapist who I couldn’t see for a month while going to this iop program because my insurance can’t cover going to both at the same time to go to Braden instead. They also only have only one psychiatrist working available in that building because other workers quit or get laid off (hmm I wonder why?) but he has no openings available because he’s so booked so I had to settle with Collette who isn’t even a psychiatrist but a nurse practitioner and I couldn’t even get in to see her because they kept canceling my appointments and just canceled my first appointment with her yesterday which was supposed to be today AGAIN and making all these excuses. I wouldn’t even bother like the other guy said on the reviews. Unprofessional.

I choose to take part of the Symetria program voluntarily and it was one of the best decisions of my life! Not only are the staff like family, so are the individuals that pick Symetria too. Now days, customer service is pathetic and people are rude and most push you out the door, but not here. This place has the warm feeling like "The door is always open", and "how can we help you", We are here for you, it doesn't matter the time or the day, we care about you. You're a shining star and a success, not a failure. This place is secure, confidential, clean and has several options to help you along your journey. You are able to volunteer your time, make new friends and can help save a life, change a life and feel proud of who you are. Brian and John from Naperville are excellent group leaders (you are lucky if you get to meet them), and (Chris from Vernon Hills is a great counselor, who will make the time to ensure your needs are met). Symetria creates an environment where people feel safe, supported, and valued. The morning IOP group supported me through the hardest part of my life and I will forever be grateful for the amazing people I met. I think each one of us in the group looked forward to our time together in that healing place. Our counselor Brian is an expert in his field. He led our group through many difficult topics and conversations and did so with enormous compassion. Individual sessions with Brian were always insightful. Brian has a unique way of making each of his clients feel good about themselves. If you struggle with addiction and are looking for a place where you can start to make changes, I highly recommend Naperville's IOP program. Thank you for helping me change my life.

SAVING LIVES, 24/7, 365. I never expected in my wildest dreams to discover such a unique and outstanding program in an unassuming building in the suburbs of Chicago. They're genuinely innovative and there's a subtle but real magic to the place. At the end of the day, Lighthouse is a collection of extraordinary people. Most notably, Nate Lanthrum, the founder and clinical director. He's assembled the most passionate, effective and dedicated team imaginable. For those directly effected by substance abuse including the families and loved ones, you could not be more fortunate to have Lighthouse as a resource at your disposal. In terms of quality, Lighthouse is in a category of its own. It's far better than the best of the best programs I've encountered. It may not have the luxurious offerings of a facility like "Promises" in Malibu but it certainly makes up for the lack superficial luxuries with substance, authenticity and effectiveness 1,000 fold.. Lighthouse offers something money cannot buy; people who for whatever reason care about you and your loved ones. All treatment plans are customized to each individual that walks through the door. It's a fundamentally different approach to the recovery process. It's not a static program either because Nate makes sure to stay up-to-date with the latest treatment methods and he'll incorporate something if it works. Everyone that works at Lighthouse is of the highest quality and character. The key players off the top of my head are Nate, Dr Steve Holtsford (the "House" Addiction Medicine Expert), Marty who handles intake and paperwork, Dominic (Task Master and human whisperer) and last; the greatest psychotherapist working in the field, Rehna Becker (mother nature's improvement on Carl Jung). I do not have enough superlatives for Nate. He is the best of men. Steve is an emergency room doctor and a brilliant addiction medicine specialist. Marty has to focus on the business side of the operation to ensure the doors stay open. He's an honest guy and hard-working guy doing a thankless and unglamorous job. Dominic fulfills so many roles it's impossible to pigeonhole him but he's a walking blessing. He's much better read than most Nobel laureates, never complains, and will likely be your most consistent point of contact (he's a fixer and a closer, a gentleman and scholar). Rehna is some kind of sorceress. The things she does by intuition cannot be taught. Then there's Emily Mohls who handles psychiatric issues with an ocean of compassion while staying up to the minute with the most revolutionary treatments. Altogether, this group is the "Seal Team 6" of recovery. As a business and as a treatment facility they exemplify the best of human virtue and character. They treat each person who walks through their doors with the dignity and respect they deserve. You could search the world over for a better team, a more "advanced" or "cutting edge" program, even a different paradigm but as someone who tried everything else, and I do mean EVERYTHING, you won't find it. If you do, let me know. I'm posting this under my real name. I'm too grateful to be proud.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I have tried several other places for MAT care for substance abuse and I have to say that Dr Steven Holtsford is hands down the absolute best. He treats you like a individual person, not a text book case of addiction. He cares, he listens and he helps you. Sobriety is possible for me! Thank you Dr Holtsford!!! Dominic and Eva are also very kind and compassionate people that work closely with the Dr. They are there to help you every step of the way. Without you guys I couldn't have made it. If you are struggling with addiction and are looking for the best place to go, you've found it!!! Look no further.

So this place was wonderful for my dad for many years but in 2020 he got very ill and he begged to go to this hospital so he could either die with dignity or be cured with dignity. He really thought they could help him. The doctor that saw him upon admitting him, which I wish I could remember his name, but anyways, he told my dad that he needed the bed for somebody else because he was dying and he needed to go to hospice! the point of the matter was he was very abrupt with my dad and there seemed to be no compassion. There was a nurse there at the time his name was Mike and he was wonderful absolutely wonderful with my dad. He listen to things that he would say and he gave him hope and he gave him compassion so I just wanted to mention that. Than another Dr came in and told my Dad they would doing tests on Monday. This was Thursday August. 13. 2020. He gave him more Hope. (Because it was Covid era., I could only visit my Dad an hour a day. ) I made the choice to go home to Colorado and was to come back on Monday for the testing. My Dad was alert and mentally all there when I left. We were hopeful. He was on oxygen helping him breath. My brother went to visit him in Friday from Illinois. They had lengthy conversations for the hour and a half he was there. He too had met Mike and also thought he was an amazing nurse and felt confident with Dad in his hands. Saturday I phoned. I didn’t get to talk to my Dad but the nurse. Said he was doing very well. Mike was off. I felt relieved with the nurse’s confidence. Later that evening. Saturday the 15th. I called and the nurse told me he got transferred to hospice and they are giving him a fentanyl drip and disconnected his oxygen. This was late in the evening around 8. I demanded they put the phone up to my Dads ear. I made sure he knew I did not okay this and I promised I would come get him. The following morning at 630. I got a call he passed and they were doing an honor walk. I had no way to get there that fast. I begged her to film it but she said they couldn’t. I felt my Dad was disrespected and our wishes were not fulfilled. They also asked him if they could get him anything he wanted and he said he wanted a Miller light and nobody ever got it for him I am still so angry over this situation. I won’t forget. Rest in peace Dad. David Bartkowiak. Oct 12 1926 to August 16 2020. A final note. If you are still there Mike we thank you for your compassion to my Dad

I had to complete a lot of hours in a not-so-long amount of time, and with their help I was able to do so. Were there a few inconveniences along the way, sure. But ultimately it was my own wrong doing that put me into the situation itself. Kim may be tough at times but overall she is only there to help. Do I ever plan on going back? Overall I am glad it's over on my end for the most part, but I would recommend their services. Just have patience, don't be in a hurry because of your own wrong doing, be polite, and they will help.

The five stars I'm giving is only for the outpatient part. Rachel is a great counselor and knows her stuff. I learn a lot from her. Jessica Hartz is the best employee at Adds. She bent over backwards to get me into inpatient. She is truly a blessing. She's a really good counselor also. The staff down at inpatient needs reevaluated and they need to give them UAS. If they want their clients to stay clean down there they shouldn't let their employees do meth. If I wasn't so serious about my recovery and If it was early in my recovery I'm sure I would have walked out and got high but by the grace of God I'm 106 days sober today.

I had a great experience. This time at least. It took me a few try’s but I never gave up and always made it back. I really admire what those people do there. They laugh when I laugh and cry when I cry. They were the rock when I needed them. I Forever love those people.

If it wasn't for this clinic and all the wonderful people there, my life would be in shambles. If it wasn't for Medicaid, I could never afford daily doses and if it wasn't for The Way Shuttle picking me up six days a week for almost 3 years straight, I wouldn't be where I am today. It's been a rough journey but well worth the persistence I put in to get this far. One Day At A Time!

Changes Place is located in Loves Park, Illinois. This is a counseling facility that provides in person and online services. They offer substance use disorder treatment on an outpatient basis. Their first step is to conduct a face to face assessment. This allows them to determine the nature and extent of your relationship with drugs and alcohol. Yo

Great people! If you're in need of the services they offer. I would stop looking now and just give them a call. Jack is amazingly personable and was easy to talk to. His daughter Trisha is professional, wears a huge smile and is very friendly. They are a down to earth home grown facility that will help you get what you need done. Highly recommended.

If you’re struggling with drug or alcohol addiction you can start your recovery with the ASAC - Area Substance Abuse Council. Their main office is in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This office can connect you with any of their more than a dozen rehabs in the area. No matter who you are or what your needs are, they probably have a program for you with ASAC.
Very caring staff and counselors! Best treatment I’ve ever experienced!! Would highly recommend

I’m so thankful for ASAC. After wasting 5 weeks at St. Luke’s Chemical Dependency Center (full review on that experience separately), I came here feeling frustrated and discouraged. I explained everything I had gone through, and ASAC immediately made me feel heard and understood. They were far more knowledgeable about my case and didn’t judge me when my marijuana levels were slightly elevated—even after over a month of quitting—because they actually understood that’s normal. The counselors here are compassionate, supportive, and truly know what they’re doing. If you’re looking for real help, don’t waste your time and money at St. Luke’s. Go to ASAC instead. They’ll actually help you, rather than tear you down!

This place is what you make it. You can't blame the facility for those who aren't ready to get help and find loopholes by bringing in contraband. Typically, those of whom not coming in with the right mindset are those who are gonna leave bad reviews. But I promise. This is the best program in the state of Iowa. Of course there are things that could use a little more attention in order to make people's stay, less stressful. Un-certified staff can sometimes make bad decisions or push people away..but the clinical team is great. I highly suggest anyone to disregard any negative feedback given on these reviews because there was some type of insubordination on their behalf that as a result..left them with an unsatisfactory comment. For anyone reading this. Don't waste your time coming here if you aren't ready to change. If you're just coming bc you're being forced to. You'll interfere with those who are actually trying to change and not only that..you'll be wasting resources someone really needs and you'll leave a had review because you're all butt hurt about your behavior not being tolerated. Believe me, they give you A TON of leeway...but they can tell when they're getting used. Great facility, saved my life, all the counselors are good people. And remember. It is what you make it.
