St Gregory Recovery Center completely changed my mindset and my life. I’ve been to treatment before, but at St. Greg’s the focus is on learning tools and creating a plan for life *after* treatment - and that made all the difference! With the help of everyone on staff (and I do mean *everyone*) my time at St. Greg’s was a positive one where I felt safe, seen and heard, understood and encouraged every day. I went to St. Gregory’s beginning of July and graduated after 28 days. Unfortunately I did not follow through on what I knew I needed to do in order to stay sober (AA, SMART Recovery, Wilma’s after care program, Intensive Out Patient) and ended up relapsing. I went back a month later and was welcomed with open arms, no judgement, nobody asking “what happened.” They have amazing staff that want nothing more than to see their clients succeed and the information I’ve received there is invaluable as long as I follow through on what I need to do.

This place saved my life. All of the staff members genuinely care about their clients. The structure of their program really hit home with me. They were very caring and educated on the subject matter of addiction. They provide individual counseling and therapy as well as group sessions throughout the day. They have their own personal gym with treadmills, ellipticals, weights, basketball, volleyball, pickle ball and more. You are allowed smoke breaks as well. They have a 24 hour salad bar along with three meals per day which I really enjoyed. The residents I witnessed all did a complete 180 from the time they checked in as time went along. I give all staff and the facility an A. I Definitely recommend this place to anyone suffering from alcohol or drug addiction. I met many amazing people through this place that I now get to call my friends. Special shout out to Wilma for all that she does for Saint Gregories.😊
Had a medical emergency I’m from out of town. They took amazing care of me. I had to stay overnight because I needed surgery the next day. Unfortunately their hospital was full and they kept me in the emergency room. They went above and beyond for me!! Managed my pain with compassion and understanding. Even brought a hospital bed down for my comfort. Wish more hospitals practiced this level of commitment. Can’t sing their praises enough!! GREAT JOB GUYS!!!

All the staff therapist everyone who works there is great. This place helped me in alot of ways that I didn't know I needed and also helped me learn more about myself and also coping skills that I can use when I feel like using/drinking

I don’t know about the drs but their rehab program is the best they work on your mental health and get to the root causes of your addiction I was also in a lot of physical pain and I got to go to physical therapy and they were great also…

The staff members at the Carroll VA Clinic are excellent. They are courteous, professional and wait times are minimal. The Front Desk personnel always greet patients with a smile and a positive, caring attitude.
I was having about the worst mental health crisis I had ever had. I was transferred here because my hospital didn’t have a bed available for me. They were very caring, knew your name instantly before even meeting you, and did the best they could to reassure you when you needed it. The nurses, techs, doctors, and therapists there were amazing! Thank you for helping me get back to me. I will utilize what I learned there to help myself!

My granddaughter has gone there many times and they know her well. They understand the issues that she has and they are Very patient and kind to help her through her struggles. The doctor that she normally had there took time to understood her so well and knew very well how to talk to her and help her.

I was at uta Halee in 2021, I got the march 21st and left may 2nd. My experience there was amazing I was in the shelter waiting for a bed at nova treatment community, Mrs Robinson was always there for me when I needed to talk to someone. Mrs collins was always fun to be around, Mrs Philips had a great sense of humor, Mr Harris was absolutely amazing he greeted me with kindness he always made sure I had a smile on my face, when I first got there I slept for 3 days straight and he would peak his head in my room making sure I was okay! Of course I was really shy at first but I made it through my stay. Mrs Jackson and me never got close and Mrs Hawthorne and me always had great conversations she even got to see my comedy personality. Every Wednesday was my favorite day because I got to enjoy the culinary class they had! Sometimes on the weekends they would allow us to use the tv to watch our favorite networks no matter what the movie was it just had to be appropriate. Right was my probation officer dropped me off a fight happened upstairs a girl punched another girl 82 times in just two minutes because they were left with one other staff member, I always had fun there. When you shaved you were supervised to save people from self harm! I did watch a few people runaway and watched someone beat up a deputy. But that told everyone that they needed to be somewhere more intense to straighten themselves up! Overall my stay there was amazing!!!

I am currently going through domestic violence and I needed a safe place to go. Lydia House has been nothing but amazing. All of their staff are so kind, loving, understanding, supportive and they treat you well.
My intake process with Ni’Cole is a moment I will never forget, because she welcomed me with open arms, she was gentle with me, she understood my pain that I was going through, she reassured me that I was safe now and even asked if I had ate. They were handing out Easter bags and she went and got me one so I didn’t feel excluded. From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank Lydia House for hiring such a wonderful caring person like Ni’Cole who handle everything with grace even when she is busy. She reminds of a case manager I worked with when I was in Foster Care. Ni’Cole I pray that God will lead you to the path that you deserve which is to become a Case Manager. You treat everyone the same and I love when you say, “Welcome to the Lydia House.” Thank you for everything that you have done for me so far and for never showing any signs of stress even when you are busy. You are appreciated and loved. :)

If u truly wanna change ur life this place is it but u have to want it and be ready to do it 100% put ur all in like it’s ur last chance at life great counselor ‘s that care about you and nice staff that treat u human great place if ur serious about changing ur life u can have nicotine patches and lozenges no chew or cigarettes most people get kicked out when caught if ur thinking ur gonna just sit through some classes mute you are so wrong you are gonna read ur life story in front of everyone and dig deep because if it ain’t accurate do it again u will read aloud every day or give feed back to the individuals that are sharing their assignments basically you’re gonna have to put in the work or get called out on BS so if ur not wanting to truly change ur life and be clean and sober then don’t use a spot someone else could have to get clean and sober be greatful you actually have an opportunity to turn your life around and be that son or that Father or husband you know u can be sober and clean you owe ur self and the ones around you that much a lot of people dont get a chance or second chance. If you really want it it’s really up to you.

I went to the treatment center at Zion in Clarinda. It was the best experience. The staff was amazing. The building was clean. They made sure you were always taken care of. They helped me tremendously. I felt like a new person after 28 days. I HIGHLY recommend this facility to anyone taking the step to recovery. My personal experience was AWESOME.
For Therapy this place has been great! I have worked with three different therapists here and all have been professional and educated on what my needs were for each one. I am currently at the tail end of treatment that has been going for 5 years or so now. Highly recommend. Therapy here is great.

Ashley Westphallan APRN has been the best provider I have ever had. She is professional, educated, and uses the best possible methods to help.
The women’s health center and experience having now 2 of our kids here is amazing. The nurses and doctors here are truly incredible. Feel like we have interacted with so many now and all of them go above and beyond

As a trans man it can be kind of distressing to go to hospitals. I've heard many stories online about people like me being disrespected, but I had none of that during my surgery. Staff are even allowed small forms of self expression, and seeing a pride themed badge clip meant the world and made me feel at ease. Past that, the staff were very cordial, answered all my questions, got me a bendy straw so I could share a drink with my partner, some even voiced support for my identity. Those who didn't, or maybe who had opposing views, didn't seem to show it and treated me with upmost respect. I never had the feeling that I was unsafe in any way, and the whole experience leaves me with happy tears with how volatile today's environment can be for trans people, sometimes especially in the Midwest.
The hospital was very clean, I actively saw custodians cleaning unoccupied rooms as well, no issues with anesthesia either. A surgery that was projected to take 1.5 to 2 hours only took one hour and they explained the results very well to my partner. Based on the sounds of it, I think my deviated septum is fully cured and I'll be able to breathe as long as recovery goes well.
Billing also explained that I could either oay up front today, or wait for the statement and get some taken off for paying it all in one shot if I call the number and asked billing. Estimated prices were given to me up front and they confirmed with me that insurance was active when I asked.
Just make sure to get as detailed instructions written down as possible so you're not anxious like I was trying to find where you're supposed to be :]

If I never, started coming here to crossrads who knows where I'd be, but whenever I got surgery on my ❤️ heart I feel super blessed to be alive period..the people tht have recently came into my life are awesome I'm just happy! I'm sober it feels great! I want to thank megan, she has been my go to girl!!! feel like she belongs like she has been the angel from God. the girls in the front desk. and especially jesse, hes thorough. He's my therapist, really gets on me when I need it. He's just very good @ what he does and I appreciate it.....BRI

I really appreciate how kind and courteous everyone is. It took a while to get an initial appointment to see a new psychiatrist and therapist when I first moved to the area, but there is such a nationwide shortage of mental health workers, it's totally understandable. I now have a therapist I see twice a week, a psychiatrist I see once a month, an IHH caseworker, AND a peer support counselor all in one place! Plus, they offer telehealth, making it convenient for people like me who can't drive and have limited access to transportation.
I once went to Children's Square before and the staff there, let's just say, they were absoulutely incredible and in my opinion, the nicest staff out of all the placements i've been to:) so im just gonna say, if your kid(s) are having troubles or behavioral issues i recommend Children's square.

This non profit works to serve societies smallest citizens. The campus itself has several buildings including a school, daycare, counseling center, administration building, gym/cafeteria, playground, housing complex and emergency shelter. I have donated food and goods to this place before. It's a great place to support and if you need it... a great resource for anyone in the community.

Completely fine for kids who struggle with behavior issues and its great for helping children socialize with eachother. I was only there for a month in 2024 , I cant say it for sure was not for me but I also appreciate the thought structures they teach. I was given alot of good advice from the staff, maybe just not a place for older teenagers. Other than that, understaffed, but they work hard, and each child is payed attention to equally.
