Atchison Valley Hope saved my life. I had tried living a life in recovery before, but it never worked out for me. When I hit a point to no return I reached out for help to Valley Hope in Atchison. I’m struggling to understand why this facility would get anything less than 5 stars. Valley Hope has truly changed my life. I called on a Wednesday morning and was in a bed by Friday. This is more than a facility or institution. It’s a home full of love and care. The staff are much more than “staff” even down to the cooks. They truly do care. They go above and beyond to listen, recognize and love. I HIGHLY recommend V.H. To anyone who’s truly wanting to live a life of sobriety. The structure, dynamics, medical care, post care recommendations and even down to the food is amazing. If I could give more stars, I would. Thank you so much Valley Hope for changing my life around. The staff is friendly and the other patients are generally kind and supportive. Good sense of community here.
The doctor I had seemed to really know what he's doing, as the medication he added not only stabilized my mood pretty well, but it also seems to be helping with my extremely debilitating ME/CFS. This is so unexpected and life altering. Thank you; I finally have hope again.

I've been a client here since 2011, and I'm so grateful. It's a life saver, but like all recovery clinics you can only get out of it what you put into it. It's easy to blame others when things go wrong, but it's almost always our fault! I had a very hard time, until I stopped arguing and followed direction! They know about recovery, all I knew was self destruction, but thought I was so smart!
Now I'm doing really good. This place is great.

I think this is a well fitted experience for any teen going through any sort of struggle/trauma.
The thing is, you might not enjoy everything entirely as much as some people might but you will likely benefit from everything you do there, Whether it comes from the things you learn or the people you meet. I believe this whole place has well-balanced intentions. yes, some staff may have their differences, we are all human, but everything they do is entirely surrounding the intention of your benefit.
So yes, I highly recommend Synergy. If needed, not be afraid of these new opportunities that rarely come twice.

After reading all of the reviews, I expected this place to be a nightmare. I’m very happy with all of the receptionist and Drs. I came here to get a diagnosis and medication for my anxiety, and they helped me get all the necessary tests, and one of the male psychiatrists (long name, cannot remember) went into very deep detail, and helped me understand my diagnosis. Dr coons is very nice and cooperative, and great at explaining the different medications. The only complaint I have is the wait time. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time to be called back.

I been going to them for a very long time. They help my son and husband. However, ever since the med Dr left and my son got a new one, it seems like they do not return calls or anything. My son takes a med that can't be refilled. His old med Dr would do a 3 months script so he wouldn't run out. I called last week, pharmacy sent them something last week and nothing. This med he takes is important and he has been out since Saturday. I like their services but now I wonder if I need to find another Dr to do the meds. Very frustrating. Hands down on therapy services and everything.
