Of, course like all patients, I've had a bad appointment or two over the years but, I just try to remind myself that everyone/every business can have hectic/bad days and yes... BUSY OFFICES such as this are gonna have a few hiccups. But I do not like the ever changing staff, its getting more solid now, and the counselors are amazing. Caleb and Jamie are my favorite! I know... I shouldn't say favorites but of all the counselors I've been through, they are by far the best. And of course, the Suboxone works for me (with it's bad side effects aside... that's not on the office ) Spero Health is great. So.. when reading these reviews because your looking for help, just remember when you see the bad reviews (ie: "THIS PLACE SUCKS! STAFF IS SO RUDE! THEY FORGOT ME IN THE WAITING ROOM!" That staff sees a lot of patients everyday and some are having the worst day ever... bare with them! They will get to you and will help you anyway they can. So, if you're looking for a place that will help you get clean and sober and support the entire way, THIS IS THE PLACE. Nothing about recovery is easy! As addicts, we know this. But this staff will get to know you and help you the best way possible. One day, one minute, one second at a time! The staff was very helpful and understanding. Life 2 months ago I highly recommend Cumberland Mental Health as your health care provider for your mental health needs or whatever type of services you're seeking help with. I myself have been a patient of Cumberland Mental Health for quite some time.. years.. I started off going to the Hendersonville location yrs bk when I lived out that way,, which I also have nothing but great things to say about that location as well. I've also been to the Gallatin location. Their staff is amazing!! Always SO fiendly, informative, helpful, & there to greet you with a smile as you walk in... There's nothing worse then going into a Dr.s office (where post people would rather go/be anywhere else but the doctors.. lol) & not being greeted at all, or being given the stare down face that gives the look of the ole "Who are you? Why are you here? What do you want..?!" kinda face... lol!🙃 Ugh that's the worst! No worries for that when you walk into any of the Cumberland Mental Health offices! I can assure you of that!😉 Front desk staff are always so sweet, helpful, & get you checked in in a timely organized fashion.. No chaos, confusion , or waiting to be seen for hours past your appointment time.. I can say in all honesty I've never had to wait longer then 10 to 15mins at the most to be called back. That's a huge deal for us mommy's, working moms (& dads), or all humans in general.. We all have things to do, & places to be.. So sitting in a doctor's office waiting room is never ideal for anyone. At the same time, things do happen & I always understand when a Dr. or therapist is running behind one day or overflowed with patients/appts.. I get it. They're doing their jobs & they're doing it to the best of their ability to help all of us. So for me personally. So to wrap this up... I personally love Cumberland Mental Health & all their staff. Not just my provider... the secatorial ladies, the nurse, the therapist/case workers who never fail to always take a few minutes to tlk with me, ask me if I'm doing well, or if I need anything! I have contacted everyone even Volunteer Behavioral Health and they said Murfreesboro, I have over ten years of sobriety from street drugs and alcahol and I just think it is a shame that Gallatin Tennessee has no options, I would be willing to pick up patients for appointments or do whatever anyone needs help with, I could visit patients struggling with addiction or mental issues! I know now why not many people get their peer recovery certification now because it is so hard to find volunteering options! I think it is shameful, but at least you offer it in Madison so thank you but it just seems my story and my willingness to help other's could somehow help at the Gallatin location as well! When I first met her, I was scared because she looked intimidating, but after getting to know her, I realized she is one of the sweetest, most supportive people. I honestly wish I could have a therapy session with her. Ms. Brandi is a wonderful intern therapist. She is caring, supportive, and always knows how to make people smile. Ms. Vellamae is amazing. I love her group therapy because she is so kind and always makes everyone feel comfortable. Ms. Lillian is an amazing intern therapist and staff member. She always listens to me without judging me and somehow knows when I’m not okay. Whenever I needed someone to talk to or play board games with, she was always there. She truly cares about every client. Ms. Esther was the first person I met here. She is funny, kind, smart, and always reminds me not to be so hard on myself. She would sit with me, talk with me, or play board games whenever I needed company. Ms. Kara has always been there for me through my ups and downs. She helped me when I was having trouble breathing and stayed with me when I needed help calming down. We would play Uno or she would read to me so I could relax. Ms. Ava is amazing. She always talks me through the hard days and reminds me not to believe the negative things I say about myself. Ms. Mina is so sweet. She always lets me talk about my day or whatever is on my mind, and she’s a really good artist. Ms. Avery is kind, caring, and always makes my day better. We play board games, listen to music, and talk about life. Ms. Jacy is so sweet and funny. We joke around, paint together, or just sit and talk. She has always been supportive. Jake is funny, kind, and caring. We joke around and play board games together. Jacob is funny and always talking about Wicked, which makes me laugh. Ms. Sarah is so sweet, smart, and caring. I recommend parents bring their child to CCSU if they need help. Everyone here is kind, caring, supportive, and truly wants the best for every client.
