My son had to come here for some help and let me tell you, the staff was ALWAYS courteous, polite, and professional when my wife called to check on our son. They also called daily to provide status updates on him on his progress. When my wife would call later that day for another update or clarification on an update, the staff never got upset or hateful, always helpful and courteous and provided the information needed. Our son was so happy on the phone calls when we spoke to him on the phone, you could tell he was being treated like a human being and not a statistic. They have been life savers to me on days they didn’t even realize it! I can’t say enough good about Dr. Stocking, Lara the NP, Mick, and James. The office staff is exceptional as well and my wife and I are always treated with kindness and respect. We moved here from the Cental City area and was with a clinic down there that we THOUGHT was good, now we know how a clinic is supposed to be ran and we would never accept anything else and my point is not to run another facility in the ground but to just warn others that they are worthy of the correct kind of care! Being in active addiction is a hell I wouldn’t wish on anyone, but recovery is achievable with the correct kind of help, with people who are going to challenge you and hold you accountable. I don’t doubt one bit that my team at Applegate would help me navigate anything that would come my way in the line of a setback or a life event or a even a relapse (something I hope would never happen, but it always is a possibility if you understand the disease of addiction), I have full faith that they would assist me in any way they could! Dec. 14 2023 To update my review a bit; I've been a patient at Spero Health since 2013. When it was Self Refind! Of, course like all patients, I've had a bad appointment or two over the years but, I just try to remind myself that everyone/every business can have hectic/bad days and yes... BUSY OFFICES such as this are gonna have a few hiccups. But I do not like the ever changing staff, its getting more solid now, and the counselors are amazing. Caleb and Jamie are my favorite! I know... I shouldn't say favorites but of all the counselors I've been through, they are by far the best. And of course, the Suboxone works for me (with it's bad side effects aside... that's not on the office ) Spero Health is great. So.. when reading these reviews because your looking for help, just remember when you see the bad reviews (ie: "THIS PLACE SUCKS! STAFF IS SO RUDE! THEY FORGOT ME IN THE WAITING ROOM!" That staff sees a lot of patients everyday and some are having the worst day ever... bare with them! They will get to you and will help you anyway they can. So, if you're looking for a place that will help you get clean and sober and support the entire way, THIS IS THE PLACE. Nothing about recovery is easy! As addicts, we know this. But this staff will get to know you and help you the best way possible. One day, one minute, one second at a time! This journey is hard but the staff, physicians and counselors will get you through it! The other side is AMAZING! I've also been to the Gallatin location. Their staff is amazing!! Always SO fiendly, informative, helpful, & there to greet you with a smile as you walk in... There's nothing worse then going into a Dr.s office (where post people would rather go/be anywhere else but the doctors.. lol) & not being greeted at all, or being given the stare down face that gives the look of the ole "Who are you? Why are you here? What do you want..?!" kinda face... lol!🙃 Ugh that's the worst! No worries for that when you walk into any of the Cumberland Mental Health offices! I can assure you of that!😉 Front desk staff are always so sweet, helpful, & get you checked in in a timely organized fashion.. No chaos, confusion , or waiting to be seen for hours past your appointment time.. I can say in all honesty I've never had to wait longer then 10 to 15mins at the most to be called back. That's a huge deal for us mommy's, working moms (& dads), or all humans in general.. We all have things to do, & places to be.. So sitting in a doctor's office waiting room is never ideal for anyone. At the same time, things do happen & I always understand when a Dr. or therapist is running behind one day or overflowed with patients/appts.. I get it. They're doing their jobs & they're doing it to the best of their ability to help all of us. So for me personally. So to wrap this up... I personally love Cumberland Mental Health & all their staff. Not just my provider... the secatorial ladies, the nurse, the therapist/case workers who never fail to always take a few minutes to tlk with me, ask me if I'm doing well, or if I need anything! Not only in the office, but they call periodically through the month to check up on me and that's so important and kind in my opinion!😉 They're a solid 5 star doctor's office in my book! 😉👍 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Natasha B 5 years ago I have been to several different mental health facilities and this by far is the best. One of the office worker came and personally apologize because everything was taking so long. Which I told them was okay because I understood. Because they are honestly doing their best to get everything done. They have so many task to do and they are handling it very professionally. The staff is always courteous and kind, very flexible with scheduling, and the case workers really do their jobs by finding you the best care options for your budget, insured or not, which I am not. When I arrived in TN last year I was technically unemployed and homeless for the most part. They have managed my medications, provided CBT ( cognitive behavioral therapy) bi-weekly, and arranged for UBER/Lyft rides to get me to and from scheduled appointments. I have contacted everyone even Volunteer Behavioral Health and they said Murfreesboro, I have over ten years of sobriety from street drugs and alcahol and I just think it is a shame that Gallatin Tennessee has no options, I would be willing to pick up patients for appointments or do whatever anyone needs help with, I could visit patients struggling with addiction or mental issues! I know now why not many people get their peer recovery certification now because it is so hard to find volunteering options! I think it is shameful, but at least you offer it in Madison so thank you but it just seems my story and my willingness to help other's could somehow help at the Gallatin location as well! I was drinking so much I was falling and hurting myself and ruining my marriage and on a path to possibly loosing job and even land myself in jail. I was miserable and at rock bottom. Once there after the detox period i started attending group therapy sessions, individual therapy session’s sessions, and working with the techs to become involved in my recovery process. First 5 days i was detoxing and once that was over i got super involved in the program and day by day got better each day. I received excellent nursing and medical provider support. I had amazing group therapy sessions. I was fed delicious meals every day. I had a great case manager and had a primary therapist who was absolutely perfect. The staff was absolutely first class and my treatment started me on a successful path to recovery. This place literally changed my life. They took care of my every need physically, mentally, and emotionally. I highly recommend if you need help for addiction this is where you need to be. Of course you have a few are ill at the world and hate their job. The facility is a 10 out of 5 lol. It's absolutely a postcard. The food is cafeteria style and excellent. The only complaint is during detox the decision for patients to go to the cabins is up to a nurse. Detox is terrible and after days of no sleep or eating is the absolute worst time to move a patient. But that's what happens. You physically can't lift your head off the pillow and you have someone yelling get up. Doctor's are there daily so I don't think you should move until the doctor okays it. Besides that it's doesn't get any better. NashVGuitarist 1 month ago I was fortunate enough to find Cumberland Heights in Tennessee even though I live in Ohio and it was the best thing I could have done, I was a patient there in 2011 and 15 years later as of this review I am still sober, CH is an amazing treatment facility with knowledgeable and compassionate staff who can relate to your situation, they have art therapy, music therapy, outside meetings, speakers and powerful activities to help you overcome past traumas and behaviors, it is located in a beautiful, peaceful setting and the food was amazing too. They have a great support system (alumni) and resources to continue in your sobriety journey once you are out of inpatient, I donate yearly to CH so that someone else can hopefully find their way there. My experience at Brentwood Springs was amazing for the most part. I only had problems with one particular nurse who refused to give me medication that the doctor had already ordered, causing me to be in withdrawal for three days from a medication that I had no plans on stopping. Apparently, she had her own personal reasons for not wanting to give me my medication. She felt like I shouldn’t be taking it to begin with??? Once a more experienced nurse came in, though she took care of it and fixed the problem. The entire staff is kind and caring. The medication’s are very customized to each individual. When I felt like I was getting sick they extended my taper to make sure that I was not uncomfortable. The meals are catered or homemade. The kitchen pantry is stocked as well as the refrigerator and freezer. There are plenty of drinks and snacks including juice and fruit. I was able to reach out to my family on a regular basis and was given great advice about aftercare. I would recommend them to anyone seeking help in recovery. Daye 3 months ago I'd give out 10 stars if I could. I checked into to Brentwood Springs Detox without knowing how great it would be. I found them on the internet and pulled the trigger. They drove an hour to pick me up free of charge. Upon checking it they greeted me with an understanding of my situation. This helped put my mind at ease as I was already overwhelmed with stress of checking into a Detox center. They are very attentive of how you're feeling and immediately come up with a game plan for treatment. They are very professional in every aspect with your treatment and are open to you at all times if you are feeling a certain type of way, but at the same time every staff member is super laxed. The nurses are amazing and are available to you 24 hours a day. You can tell that they truly want to help you. I don't feel out of place here. The food is great, the people are great, and the way they have this place set up makes it feel like you are at home. They have tv's with all kinds of apps and cable. The whole place is clean and well kept. The rooms are clean. The meetings they set up are absolutely amazing and have helped me tremendously. They have a beautiful backyard with great views which is crucial to your feeling of well being (at least for me) Cameron is great as well. In the 3 days that I've been here he's given me tons of knowledge and advice and has made sure to check up on me and how I'm feeling. Again, the whole staff truly wants to help you. You can talk to them at all times about anything and they will all completely understand. I would recommend this place to anybody I know that needs help, and hopefully this review will help all of you who are searching the best place to help you and everything you are going through.
