This place is a place where angels work. My husband and I were desperate to get away from the addict lifestyle and needed help doing it. We were able to get into Frederick Institute extremely fast. Most places like this only do what they do because it's a job and most people who go to them only go to get high and/or don't take it seriously. The people here made us both feel human again. We felt loved. We felt cared for, and it was the first time in a long time we had people give a shit about us besides each other. We had lost everything not due to drugs but simply bad luck and needed to feel like we weren't alone in this world. Amanda at Frederick Institute was the head angel here. We will forever be grateful and she will forever have a special place in our hearts. The clients here also seem to be a special breed as they all seemed to want to be better. This place is HIGHLY recommended. We had to stop going here and start in Martinsburg as Frederick is just too far but they made the switch easy.....easier than they had to. They genuinely are amazing humans and if it were possible, we'd make the hour drive there and back to continue here. We miss and love you guys and appreciate you all!!!

Ok. I'm going to go out on a limb and see if you respond and take action on this. I'll assign a tentative 5 stars rating, with the expectation you'll formulate the correct approach...I wrote a google and yelp last week about this to Safeway at WMC Drive in Westminster; they responded that someone would contact me but they never did. So, I'm upping it a notch and see hat you good folks have to say!!Last week, late at night, I was in Safeway on WMC Drive in Westminster. A customer brought their pet dog (not a service animal) in to the store and the 2 of them strolled from aisle to aisle shopping here and there. I asked the store's on duty boss, Kris, if having a pet dog in the store was appropriate. Kris, in front of 2 of his store coworkers, looked at me like a deer in the headlights, cleared his throat a couple times (I could see the brain neurons moving at warp speed trying to come up with a response), and he uttered "well, I don't know the store policies or regulations on this, but I guess it's ok for them to have their dog in the store. I responded "so, let's assume the dog poops in aisle 3 and raises its leg and sprays the fresh organic lettuce with pee pee in the fresh veggie section, what are you going to do and wouldn't that be totally unacceptable in the store?" Kris shot back with "well, sir, I can assure you I'll clean it up!!" Kris did not instill any confidence in me and I could just imagine the dog barfing up grass next to the open grapes in the fruit section in a manner similar to the way my childhood pet reacted in our backyard many years ago.So, Mr or Ms Health Department, is it okay if I bring my pet parrot into Safeway some night, let him fly all around the store, and watch him deposit numerous droppings everywhere, including on the fresh open-air French bread???? This might be fun, especially if Kris is working!!What say ye?????????????????????????

I originally went to the 30 day program, but transitioned into Safe Harbor (the 6-9 month program for women & kids) it was definitely tough at some points, and there was a lot of rules. But at the end of the day this place taught me accountability & responsibility, how to be a mother again, how live without drugs and stay sober & how to be happy in recovery. I was there in 2022, and I am now 2 years clean. I got my husband back, and all 3 of my kids back. I'm currently going to college to be a cna, and I NEVER thought I would survive addiction let alone make it this far in life. Ignore the negative reviews, the place was strict at times, and back then I HATED the rules. But now I see that they were literally trying to teach and prepare me for life in the real world.

I was diagnosed with chronic depression after my mom passed away in 2006 and was having a very hard time finding a therapist that I was comfortable with. Emily Cunningham was the first therapist I tried at Brooklane and I had a good vibe on the first session. I've gone through several therapists and Emily is the first therapist I've had in years who I look forward to sessions with.I did have a negative experience with one of the psychiatrists and asked to transfer to someone else. Right Turn Impact (RTI) is the best rehab if you want to change your life--from addiction to freedom! The entire staff are recovering addicts/alcoholics, so they truly understand your addiction and ways to help, including help for your court hearing.Start with the RTI's weekend program (many referred from a lawyer when you are in trouble). You will hear from Ben C., managing partner and COO, about his story and immense knowledge and advice if you are arrested, what to do to protect your rights (don't blow--ever), and some steps to help you build a defense at court. Then you meet Kristin S., who is on the team of "Court Services." Her job and her team is to go to your court hearing, to help you give strong support to the state attorneys and judges. IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!Kristin S. gave us so much information to build up your defense--most importantly building a notebook to organize everything. She had samples and ideas. I used:*LEGAL (lawyer/police arrest, court info)*MVA/InterLock*Recovery: MADD certificate; Right Turn Impact weekend certificate; either RTI or others for progress of in- or outpatient program; and verification of AA or NA meetings**MOST Important!!! for me: Personal/Character ReferencesKristin was amazing. One of her team members, Ron, was at my court hearing. He was great. He was one of the 1st founders of Right Turn Impact.Expect okay food, but great coffee! Saturday night allows you to order from a good Italian restaurant (~$20-30). I enjoyed my companions with other addicts/alcoholics. We understood each other with a strong bond with our similar stories, our fears, and our support of each other.Beds are a bit uncomfortable--but I was happy to be there. Think about it...get better, or things could be a lot less comfortable in jail, etc.Beds and food were not my priority. More supportive pillows are needed, though, so ppl do not have sore necks, shoulders to be okay every morning/day. That is my top suggestion. Not the best but supportive and extra pillows, and extra blankets, as I had only one when I was there and it was a bit cold.Definitely call Right Turn Impact for help! They know what they are doing and understand!

I was at Hoffman Homes for about a year and a half. When I arrived at Hoffman Homes, I barely knew myself. I didn't have a family that was good to me, so I didn't know what it felt like to have people care about me and listen to me. Not only did the staff at Hoffman Homes do this, they worked with me through my ups and downs and never judged me when I was at rock bottom. The programs at Hoffman Homes taught me positive ways to deal with stress, anxiety, and communication. They taught me that there is good in this world. The staff at Hoffman Homes put their sweat and tears into making sure us kids were okay. They worked overtime, they dealt with us when we were not ourselves, and they shared wisdom that only people with experience can share. The many many connections I made taught me that I was a person worthy of love, kindness, and respect. They taught me what was healthy and not healthy and without them, I would not be here today. There are connections and life skills I use to this day, almost two years after discharge. I could never thank you all for the dedication you put into us and our treatment. I owe you my life.

I've been to a lot of drug treatment centers in the area, I'm sorry to say. This is the only one where the staff are qualified, helpful and care to such a degree. I started here years ago when I was court ordered, and I stay to help myself now that I am free. You can see the reviews of this place are very polarizing. Either one star or five star. Drug treatment is not a pleasant process. Whether ordered to be here or on your own volition, this is therapy and it means confronting aspects of yourself you don't like. You WILL come to a point where you are angry, disgusted, fed up, etc. You can either quit and go write a one star review, or push through it and be better for it.

Last night my daughter was discharged from this facility. From the moment we arrived until late yesterday afternoon this place and its staff not only met our needs but in many ways exceeded our expectations. We arrived on a Saturday night at approximately 9:30 and there was more staff available then I saw the entire time my daughter was in another inpatient hospital. They are a little more strict than I was expecting. There were items I packed for her similar to what the other hospital allowed that were sent back with me so please keep that in mind if you choose treatment here. Those items included thong flip-flops for the shower, Crocs were okay though with no charms, tank tops and shorts and of course a couple of the books were deemed inappropriate. They also didn't allow for us to bring products from home as the hospital supplies everything. This I did not mind. She was there for 12 days and during that time I was called daily and updated on every step of her treatment plan. My thoughts and opinions were listened to and considered and I never felt the churn and burn of let's get them in and out. Her therapist and nurse practitioner as well as the psychiatrist that worked with us were kind, understanding, and informative. Patients are allowed to call twice a day for about 5 minutes. The times are usually after lunch and after dinner however we could call and leave messages or ask for a check-in but we didn't find that necessary as we were in daily contact. They allow 20 minute visits every other day with an option to Zoom which was extremely helpful considering we live an hour and a half away and there were a couple of days we could not make it up. Our main goal was to sort out medications to get her stabilized. That was done and more. She had homework to do for herself, we learned about intellectualizing emotions which is something I never considered, and there was a clear safety plan and well thought out blueprint for actions that would be helpful when agitation and overwhelming feelings and thoughts occur. Of course I read the reviews before we went and I'm grateful to know that oftentimes it's the not so great reviews that get written as opposed to the positive ones so I really wanted to express my gratitude to Brook Lane and their staff. It was a positive experience all around.

This program saved my life. I am forever grateful and truly blessed to have been able to come to this program. I have been in many inpatient and outpatient programs over many years in Florida and Maryland- This program gave me structure, balance, cared for ALL of my basic human needs, taught me how to help myself, gave me hope, taught me how to have faith, learned to love myself, be accountable, allowed me to choose what type of network /self help group would work for me, then took a chance on allowing ME to be apart of another incentive type program so I could continue to serve others here at Gail Recovery/ Wells Inc. At some point I have to close this review, But honestly I could go on for pages because with out them- I would have been long gone, or lost. The hardest part was reaching out and asking someone to help me.

BH Health Services is situated in the he | Treatments Programs Payment Options | My boyfriend (he is leaving a great review also) and I have been a client at BH a little over a year and we both think the entire staff is wonderful!!! They always treat us with kindness, respect and compassion. I have been to 2 other facilities in Laurel & Cherry Hill and BH is by far a much better Facility. Each and every staff member has greeted me with a smile and asked how I was doing EVERY time and I consider them all to be more than just "staff". My Counselor Megan is phenomenal, she answers every phone call or text message and really listens to what I have to say and sometimes I'm sure I ramble, lol. I can talk to her about anything and her advice has helped me many, many times. I consider her more than my counselor she's my friend. I have NEVER had a false positive, EVER. I think you have to be honest with yourself and not blame BH, that's a part of recovery, personal responsibility. BH's staff members are a big part of the reason I am currently at the highest Level, Stage 4, and I am over 6 months clean!!! Hats off to you BH because of you I'm sober and I finally have my life back!!!! YOU GUY'S ARE ALL WONDERFUL AND SUPPORTIVE!!! FOREVER GRATEFUL!!
