Best community medical center I’ve ever visited. Codman Community Health Center is genuinely a top-five reason I moved back to Boston. Over nearly 10 years, Codman has consistently provided me with exceptional, culturally sensitive and competent care. I’ve had positive experiences with professionals across the Center and have repeatedly felt respected, listened to, and well cared for. Their insurance office is also a godsend. The extremely helpful professionals there have provided invaluable assistance to my family in navigating the complexities of the U.S.’s incredibly complicated and inaccessible health insurance system. And their urgent care department is incredible. I’ve needed care during some difficult and frightening moments, and the quality of care I received was exceptional. As someone who has experienced racism and discrimination in other healthcare settings, I deeply appreciate that I have consistently felt respected and well cared for at Codman. The depth of experience, competence, and care throughout the Center is top-notch. I will always be grateful for the exceptional care Codman has provided during some of my hardest and most tender moments. Nothing and no one is perfect, but Codman Community Health Center is exceptional. I couldn’t be more appreciative. Highly recommend.

First time ever going to this health center and went there for the urgent care because I was feeling under the weather and they discovered so many things and evaluated me above an beyond and I am feeling better than I did when I walked into the urgent care .. I want to say thank you to the nurse and doctor that took care of me !!

The stuff is wonderful

I have had the upmost great experience at HCRC. Dexter great guy first person I see every morning. Then I see Michelle she has been a truly great person, she always ask me if I am ok never mad always smiling. Then the head nurse has gone above and beyond to make me feel good the gentlemen nurse and all the other female nurses and consular. Thank you so very much for asking me everyday if I am ok I lost my mom last Sept. And my dad sept. 10th 2024. I was scared I would go over the deep end but all the staff looked out for always all my blessing to HCRC jamaic plain best clinic ever very caring staff. Thank you with all my heart.

I’m the Director of a residential treatment program and we utilize the services provided by HCRC. We find the staff to be supportive and attentive and are grateful to have them as providers.

The nurses are Top Knots and unusually helpful and resourceful. The counselors that exist are all fair and kind, but constant short staffing and management issues cause a great place to only get a good rating. This is a for-profit clinic, so the higher up the management chain one goes, the further away an addict in recovery is from recovery. Unfortunately this company owns most of the clinics in the area, so one does not have a choice. This is also not unusual. There is no handicapped accessible entrance. You can go in the back way, around the back of the hospital, but you still have to walk a very good distance to the front door, and once inside it's very small so a person with mobility issues is going to struggle. I don't suggest anyone with mobility issues goes to this Clinic. He Corrections Officers in the back of the hospital, they have an entrance for the prisoners there. There is constant clashing with the handicapped clients and the Corrections Officers because there's no real protocol for handicapped patients. But overall this is a good place. Small, and they don't put up with any of the usual nonsense that goes on.( There are very few drug deals if at all that will go on here!). The security guard is top-notch as well and is very fair but firm. If you are not looking for Recovery, I suggest you go somewhere else because you won't last long here. I've had some personal issues with the take-home protocol as well as the short staffing resulting in treatment plans not being effectively instituted, but again this is management and has nothing to do with the day to day staff.

My son went to treatment here and I can’t say enough about how supportive they were of him. We had tried so many different places and this was the first one that he actually was engaged in because they were invested in him. His clinician scheduled weekly check ins to know how he was doing and answer any questions I had. I am grateful to finally have our our son back and owe it all to this program!

Great place to get sober. They had the best staff helping me to receive comprehensive care. I ended up staying with them 7months, I found it that helpful. Definitely not my first program, but they stand out from the rest. Perfect place for aftercare for people who have detoxed or done residential treatment. They work well with various sober living houses. They are also very flexible with the different levels of care that they offer.

I’m posting this as a heartfelt appreciation for Clearhaven and the incredible support they’ve given me and my family. The staff truly go above and beyond to make sure every person has the tools, guidance, and support needed to succeed in recovery. I’m extremely grateful for their compassion, dedication, and everything they’ve done to help me through a difficult time. Clearhaven has made a real difference in my life, and I can’t thank them enough.

My son had not gained weight in almost a year and he spent a week in BCH to see what was causing his failure to thrive and at the hospital on day 5 he gained weight for the first time in almost a year. We left with a plan, and tons of help and since then with continued support he has gone from 1% weight to 26% weight. I am so grateful! Thank you team BCH!

The staff was the best. Professional, compassionate, informative and supportive. We were treated better than family. The valet guy listened to me cry and then gave me a hug. He saw me later and told me how awesome my truck is. The nurses helped us find a place to stay. All the best support and we are just the grand parents. They were far more supportive to our son and daughter in law. Thank you so much !

Laurel Bellemore is, without a doubt, one of the most compassionate, caring, and genuinely loving nurses I have ever had the privilege of meeting. She helped care for my daughter during her hospitalization for thyroid cancer surgery and throughout her recovery, and I honestly cannot put into words how much she means to our family. Laurel went so far above and beyond what anyone could ever expect from a nurse. As a mother, leaving my daughter's side, even for a moment, was something I never imagined I would feel comfortable doing. I was scared, overwhelmed, and wanted to be right there with her through every second of this journey. But Laurel made me feel safe enough to step away and go downstairs, knowing my daughter was in caring, compassionate hands. That may seem like a small thing to some people, but to me, it meant absolutely everything. She didn't just care for my daughter as a patient; she cared for us as people. She took the time to sit with us for hours, talk with us, let us vent, make us smile, and help us forget, even briefly, the frightening reality of where we were and what our family was going through. In the middle of one of the scariest and most emotional experiences of our lives, she brought comfort, laughter, and a sense of peace that we desperately needed. Laurel has a truly beautiful soul. Her compassion goes beyond her medical responsibilities, and it is clear that nursing is so much more than a job to her. She has a gift for making people feel seen, heard, safe, and loved during moments when they feel the most vulnerable. We will never, ever forget Laurel or the kindness she showed our family. During a time filled with fear, uncertainty, and heartache, she became a bright light for us. She made an incredibly difficult experience a little more bearable, and the impact she had on our family is something that will stay with us forever. Laurel represents everything a nurse should be and so much more. She is a blessing to her patients, their families, and everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. This clinic has has evolved .if you get there early in the morning you dose same day.the people that work there are very kind and compassionate.this place saved my butt a couple times.

Although they are experiencing some growing pains all in all. It's a pretty great hospital. I was experiencing a leg issue and with a few injections. They fixed it in no time. Now it's better than ever. I understand recently they are considering a nurse's strike. The timing couldn't be worse.

The last clinic treated me like I wasn’t worth it and couldn’t care less if I walked out and died.Not here! The front desk, the nurses, especially the director who I think is a real a superwoman and is extremely fair to all of us! Her door is always opened if you need her. The office is so clean and well decorated for all the holidays. If not for them idk where I would be. They all have a special place in my heart. They saved my life and I am forever grateful! I do suggest having a your own therapist separate from the clinic. I’ve been other places and they do not care for you as an individual. AT SPECTRUM THEY REALLY DO CARE no matter the stage in recovery you are in. I’ve always been treated with respect!. This is my safe place❤️ and I appreciate the hard work it takes on their behalf on keeping this a safe place for everyone who walks through their doors. This clinic is definitely the best I've experienced yet!! When I showed up they not only took care of me, but help me in many ways. The director helped me out with cab fare when I lost my wallet l,the nurses are very nice,and when I needed help they worked as a team.Thank you spectrum

This clinic saved my life! I've been clean for almost 18 months now. From the nurses to the clinicians this place is the best of the best. But above all of that the director Kristen was my clinician for over a year and a big part of why I am doing so well today. They could not have chosen a better person to fill that job
