This place is great, getting sober is not easy or fun and the only issue I have personally witnessed is that yes; all of thier staff cannot be in recovery or understand us addicts but they truly have made a huge effort to adapt to this new age in which you can get into a rehab basically for free, get decent if not really good food(DFD) and have the chance to.btreak old bad habits etc. Im 39 and when I first tried to get sober at 18 or so it was incredibly difficult to find a rehab that didn't cost 40K. Jail or the streets were your option so remember that these people are getting paid very little yet choose to work here because most of them do care but there are thinhs called HIPPA laws etc and so that takes a toll on certain aspects of how they have to structure thier program. This place and ann arbor will keep you sober and help you recover for better or worse.

Lisa has been an absolute pleasure to work with since my first appointment back in March of this year. This location is beautifully laid out. The landscaping is first rate. On site are training locations for teachers as well as for students. The buildings are kept in good shape. The bathrooms and facilities are kept clean.The cafeterias are in good working order. Their sports fields are maintained well. The school is in a quiet setting away from major manufacturing, thoroughfares and commercial shopping.The only drawback I see is the sheer size of the place. Otherwise with proper monitoring of the school setting and the children themselves this school should provide a good, over all education and preparation for higher learner or skilled trades. It is a pleasure to see the wooded area close by.Some of the parking lots need work but they are not quite that deteriorated at this time. The site is well lit in the evening. It is deserted, as you would expect, at night.

This place was amazing, Rita was my psychology nurse practitioner, and was extremely thorough, understanding, and helpful, she gave me a plan for care, and gave me back up plans if what we decided upon together for the original plan did not work out for me. I walked in slightly skeptical because of my one and only interaction with psychology before this, and left feeling so relieved, and feel excited to follow up with her, and am confident my mental health will only improve as long as I stick with our plan. Also excited to see the therapist there because psychology is only half the battle. Thank you Still Waters for making me feel welcome, safe, and secure from the moment I walked in the door.

Life Challenge is a life saver for me. I’m so grateful to Pastor Jeff Bonzelar and my spiritual mom pastor Sheila as well as the teachers Bro Ken Keane, Bro Bob…and so many others. You have got to want change in your life for this to work. You’ve got to ask God to come into your heart ♥️ and do the work that needs to be done. I was walking around dead in sinking sand and God lifted me up and placed my feet on solid ground. I’ve completed 19 years and still standing for Jesus Christ. The staff were patient, kind, funny, respectable and caring. Personally i would have preferred an 8 hour day but then again i am an older female who rather spend my day resting, eating and watching movies! I was quite fond of Marrow even though i am sure i am spelling her name wrong. The other lady who did so much in activity wise was a super encourager. Sorry i dont remember her name. 5 stars although I believe I would have enjoyed my stay more thoroughly had I had a Jacuzzi in my room !!! and I was blessed to only have had a roommate for 1 night that they placed another human in my room out of 30 I was there? Just my opinion?
As for the program, saved my life ! When I really didn't care to myself, I learned a lot while I was there.
Most importantly I somehow had the epiphany that I never went to treatment because I wanted to quit using drugs, I went to treatment because I still wanted to use despite heavy consequences and I didn't know how to stop, and I had exhausted every resource I could come up with to continue using.
I have now been drug and alcohol free for 17 months and my life is better than ever, I didn't expect to get this far , this easily.
A certain staff member really helped me in making the next next decision on where to go from Eastwood that was a very important decision, not to go back into the same environment where I consistently succeeded to use a failed to stay clean, now matter how many reasons I came up with, or who else I could convince that it was a sound decision.
I face my problems today and almost look forward to solving my problems as they arise ,there's nothing that can will would or could stop me from living a good life other than poor choices that would or could lead me in the wrong direction.

This is far and away the best in-patient rehab center in Southeast Michigan. The overwhelming majority of negative reviews are predicated upon "I didn't stay sober!" or "My [son, brother, husband] didn't stay sober!" Sorry, but no recovery program can do the work on your behalf. Period. Eastwood provides and instills all the resources, tools, and planning that anybody needs to recover. Rehab is a stepping stool out of the hole you're in; unfortunately you still have to climb, or build the ladder (with 12 steps).
The majority of staff are themselves in recovery, and wholeheartedly dedicated to guiding others and sharing what they have achieved. There is not a better collection of people who sincerely want to save your life than Gwen, Eric, Tim, Kim, Jake, Jeremy, Jason... ALL of these angels. This building is a beacon of hope, a light that can help anyone find their way out of the darkness of addiction. I showed up here with nothing but desperation, and was provided with shelter, a warm bed, hot food, medical assistance, a wide-variety of programming that attacks my addiction from every angle. Eastwood provided everything from clothing and hygiene products to peer recovery coaching and out-patient aftercare, to long-term sober living once you complete programming. You can show up here broke, broken, and on the brink of death..and depart with literally everything you need to become your best you. They make sure you don't leave until you have housing or a safe place to go to. They make sure you have a plan for the necessary help after in-patient. They make sure you're ready, that you're okay.
If you or somebody you know has an alcohol or drug problem, Eastwood will truly provide every single thing needed to put the pieces of your life back together. This is an ongoing community, this is truly a brotherhood. This place and these people are keeping people out of cages and graves. They care. They will love you until you love yourself. Does that sound corny? I think killing yourself with drugs and alcohol sounds pretty corny. Pick one. This place matters <3

I went to the Emergency at Flower Hospital after getting dizzy and breaking my fall at home. I’m 70 and never had such an episode.
The staff from my arrival to discharge were amazing. Marie in ER was fantastic and witnessed a dizzy episode I was experiencing. She immediately notified the Nurse Practitioner and the additional Test.
The first Doctor I met in the ER got me some more warm blankets and made a good wrap around my legs and feet.
After consulting with another doctor my daughter agreed with the doctor that I should be admitted.
I went to room 717 for overnight observation.
Oh my the staff just continued their friendly, professional and efficient way of caring for me. I’m like do they have cameras watching them.
They took their time introduced themselves and their positions. They explained how test results would be given to the house doctor who would consult with a neurologist.
It’s about 3:30 and I can’t remember the one nurse’s name but she has 2 children. My daughter was saying something about my 5&6 yr old grand children, she shared with my daughter about her kids to make my daughter feel comfortable. She the explained it was important for me to eat and gave her instructions on how to order from the menu.
It’s room service style just like a hotel, oh my.
I ordered grill chicken Alfredo with onions and mushrooms. A side salad, 2 oatmeal raisin cookies and a fruit cup. It came in about 35 min.and was delicious and the salad was so fresh. I’m not one to call the nurse often but when did they responded and always said that’s what we’re here for.
Discharged went smoothly everything was explained by house doctor and nurse.
I was told I would be discharged around 11am.
I asked if I could eat breakfast and was told most definitely, we would never send you home hungry.
I realize Flower is a smaller hospital but the and efficiency of the entire staff and service can compete with any other hospital big or small. I would like to humbly thank everyone with my care and discharge.

I work in healthcare an an RN and I was a patient here for a short time and the doctor that I met and assessed me was a very good person....can't remember the name but she made accurate diagnosis that I agreed with. The therapist that I saw for 1-2 session was good as well, can't remember his name either but overall my experience was good!

I see Josh Fortney for medication management and Viola for therapy and I can say with confidence that I've never had better mental health care. I've struggled with therapy my whole life because of trust issues, and I actually look forward to my appointments with Viola. These people have been so good to me. I can't give them enough praise - I feel like I finally have the tools and support to take my life back from mental health problems and Viola and Josh showed me how.
