I love coming here. I've been in therapy on and off my whole life. No one has picked out and helped me directionally with my traumas as they have. I've seen two therapists here. One for life and grieving the other for EMDR. They both have been fantastic and such a great asset to my healing journey. I ve had a very good experience with Valhalla Place in Woodbury. One time the building had water damage and I had to wait like 2-3 hours at another clinic to get dosed. But that was a freak thing.Valhalla has saved my life. Like any VA facility, this one has many concerns to resolve to provide quality care to veterans. They seem to do their best with less. Personnel and provider shortages are becoming a problem. Some appointments can take several months to be seen. Community care needs to improve in providing referrals for quality care outside the VA and not just those who are the lowest bidders. VA recently denied over $10k in payments to my dental surgeon because they couldn t get the bill submitted within their 6 month window because the clerks had repeated bouts of COVID. I can no longer maintain continuity of care because of VAs lack of consideration. The dental provider was highly skilled and experienced. Now he refuses any further authorizations from any VA. Today s visit went very well at the VA for a minor procedure. All staff and providers were delightfully cheerful. That is certainly an improvement. God bless!

The staff is amazing and only wants to help in any way they can. The facility itself is well kept, very clean with a peaceful environment, comfortable and serene. This is the best place for recovery if you are an addict in the LGBT community, they help people who want to work towards a better life. Front desk people are always so nice and helpful. My Therapist is the second best I ve ever had and I can go back 25 years experience with them. Other Therapists I had was when I lived in Michigan and he was the best by far. But I have lived in four states in the 35 years of my 60 year life to compare Good and Bad Therapists.I moved back home in 2015 and have seen her ever since then, and I also recommend a therapist to everyone because it s a great way to dump your baggage, and I know that it isn t going to be said to no one anywhere at any point to be thrown back in your face.I also like having feed back when dealing with issues whether it s family, friends or husband or even children issues.

I've changed my review they've implemented a lot of good things. The monthly mandatory group is online now which is amazing I have severe phobias and sitting in a small room of 20 people with potentially catching COVID makes me feel a lot better knowing I can sit at home in a group on camera and my counselor Rob is amazing and genuinely cares so they fixed a lot so I give this clinic a thumbs up. My previous review wasn't too fair I feel like they fixed a lot of the issues that I had problems with which is really good lots of places don't do that and they certainly don't listen to their clients usually and fixing those issues so it's a very nice change of pace to feel like we are heard

Been to 7 inpatients and countless outpatient treatments. And metro hope has worked for me. Faith based Christ centered. Just graduated 4 days ago. Now I'm currently a house manager and driver here. Would totally recommend this place to anyone that is willing to take the next step forward. Being obedient to Christ and last but not least listen to staff. God created authority. All authority comes from God anyone that rebels/disobeys authority is disobeying God. It's not the program that will change you it's you allowing God to transform you while you're in the program. If you're not ready to stop doing what isn't working you won't be ready to start doing what is working. Be blessed

Graduating from the program at Park Ave has been one of the proudest moments of my life. I am filled with a deep love and appreciation for this program and all that it has done for me. When I first entered treatment, I was unsure of what to expect. But from the very beginning, I was met with structure and a sense of accountability that I had never experienced before. The counselors at Park Ave are not afraid to challenge you and push you to become the best version of yourself. They truly care about your recovery and are always there to offer support and guidance. The staff at Park Ave are some of the most friendly and knowledgeable individuals I have ever met. They make you feel welcome and comfortable, creating a safe and nurturing environment for recovery. However, it is important to note that this program is not for everyone. If you are not serious about your recovery and not ready to make a change, then Park Ave may not be the right choice for you. But for those who are truly ready to turn their lives around, Park Ave is highly recommended. I am grateful to have found this treatment center and I hope that others will have the opportunity to experience the life-changing impact that it has had on me. While I can't speak for the in-person services provided, we had a wonderful experience via phone communication. We were trying to help a family member navigate treatment options. We called on a Saturday to discuss what detox services might look like. Tony was the staff member who took our call. He was incredibly informative, kind and non-judgmental. He explained the process for being admitted, what to expect over the days of treatment, and also what we could expect from our family member specific to meth withdrawal. We were fortunate that we were able to get our family member directly into an intensive residential treatment facility, but the information he provided was so helpful in the interim! It took me a couple of months to get around to writing this review, but huge shout out to Tony!
