Where do I start...Checked into Burkwood on 09/25/2023 a shell of the person i once was for my 8th attempt at treatment a hopeless dope addict and the man who left 42 days later was almost unrecognizable as the same person. I am going to keep this short and to the point. This place saved my life! To anyone who has been to treatment before and failed to stay sober after I have an easy recipe for success i will lay out for you and if it worked for me it can work for anyone and here it is. Call burkwood make a plan, show up, Surrender(#1 biggest thing you have to do) and by that i mean just give in to the process and listen to what they are saying even when you want to question why just do what they are telling you they are not doing what their doing for any other reason then it flipping works, next is get involved and share with your peers and last but not least don't leave till they tell you your ready to and follow their recommendations its just that easy! The food at burkwood was amazing the staff was amazing and the accommodations overall were also amazing! Special thanks to Cheryl, Kelly M, Will, Kevin, Jake, Aaron and that's just a few of the people who made my recovery possible and as magical as it was!

I love coming here. I've been in therapy on and off my whole life. No one has picked out and helped me directionally with my traumas as they have. I've seen two therapists here. One for life and grieving the other for EMDR. They both have been fantastic and such a great asset to my healing journey. I ve had a very good experience with Valhalla Place in Woodbury. One time the building had water damage and I had to wait like 2-3 hours at another clinic to get dosed. But that was a freak thing.Valhalla has saved my life. Like any VA facility, this one has many concerns to resolve to provide quality care to veterans. They seem to do their best with less. Personnel and provider shortages are becoming a problem. Some appointments can take several months to be seen. Community care needs to improve in providing referrals for quality care outside the VA and not just those who are the lowest bidders. VA recently denied over $10k in payments to my dental surgeon because they couldn t get the bill submitted within their 6 month window because the clerks had repeated bouts of COVID. I can no longer maintain continuity of care because of VAs lack of consideration. The dental provider was highly skilled and experienced. Now he refuses any further authorizations from any VA. Today s visit went very well at the VA for a minor procedure. All staff and providers were delightfully cheerful. That is certainly an improvement. God bless!

Front desk people are always so nice and helpful. My Therapist is the second best I ve ever had and I can go back 25 years experience with them. Other Therapists I had was when I lived in Michigan and he was the best by far. But I have lived in four states in the 35 years of my 60 year life to compare Good and Bad Therapists.I moved back home in 2015 and have seen her ever since then, and I also recommend a therapist to everyone because it s a great way to dump your baggage, and I know that it isn t going to be said to no one anywhere at any point to be thrown back in your face.I also like having feed back when dealing with issues whether it s family, friends or husband or even children issues.

I've changed my review they've implemented a lot of good things. The monthly mandatory group is online now which is amazing I have severe phobias and sitting in a small room of 20 people with potentially catching COVID makes me feel a lot better knowing I can sit at home in a group on camera and my counselor Rob is amazing and genuinely cares so they fixed a lot so I give this clinic a thumbs up. My previous review wasn't too fair I feel like they fixed a lot of the issues that I had problems with which is really good lots of places don't do that and they certainly don't listen to their clients usually and fixing those issues so it's a very nice change of pace to feel like we are heard

Gwen and Scott are the best. I tried other treatments, but this one is definitely the best. All the other ones I tried, were for profit, and it truly showed, they were more interested in moving you to a higher level of care than actually helping you. Been to 7 inpatients and countless outpatient treatments. And metro hope has worked for me. Faith based Christ centered. Just graduated 4 days ago. Now I'm currently a house manager and driver here. Would totally recommend this place to anyone that is willing to take the next step forward. Being obedient to Christ and last but not least listen to staff. God created authority. All authority comes from God anyone that rebels/disobeys authority is disobeying God. It's not the program that will change you it's you allowing God to transform you while you're in the program. If you're not ready to stop doing what isn't working you won't be ready to start doing what is working. Be blessed

While I can't speak for the in-person services provided, we had a wonderful experience via phone communication. We were trying to help a family member navigate treatment options. We called on a Saturday to discuss what detox services might look like. Tony was the staff member who took our call. He was incredibly informative, kind and non-judgmental. He explained the process for being admitted, what to expect over the days of treatment, and also what we could expect from our family member specific to meth withdrawal. We were fortunate that we were able to get our family member directly into an intensive residential treatment facility, but the information he provided was so helpful in the interim! It took me a couple of months to get around to writing this review, but huge shout out to Tony!

This is a wonderful structured medication assisted program with church optional, baptisms, large group therapy and small group therapy, chores, 12-step program, they are given assignments to do and journals and Discovery Bible, a gift upon entry of small items like toothbrush and toothpaste, there is telephone time which is structured and family visitation night (Thursdays) and family visitation afternoon on Saturdays. They can see a doctor on site. There are pods I think of six persons and two persons to a room. It's a wonderful program!

I moved from Florida to have a surgery done at Gillette for my daughter with CP. She had a surgery about five years ago and the aftercare has been wonderful! Her surgeon Dr. Georgiotis did a beautiful job. He explained everything in detail. He has great bedside manner, and has treated us very well over the years. We also enjoyed our stay there which included a one week stay after the surgery, and another 4 to 5 weeks stay for her inpatient.

If I could remember everyone s names from start to finish of our 24 hour stay I would certainly give thanks to them all. Every single staff member we came across was beyond kind and helpful. My daughter and son had amazing experiences and they actually have BRAGGED about surgery to their little 4 and 2 year old friends. You guys made everything so easy. I was beyond impressed with everyone however I d like to give one specific shout out to Megan a PICU RN that was spending her time in the Rehab unit. She was our first nurse to attend to our recovery room with my son for his 24 hour stay. My son loved her and she was GREAT with him. Made sure she got to know him, showered him with love, and constantly was his cheerleader. Hoping she receives some sort of recognition or more for her excellent patient care.
