You guys saved my life twice. The treatment and care I have received is top notch. The trauma counseling is the best I've ever had. I love the way Hazelden expedited my treatment when they realized how severe my mental health issues were. The counseling in SILKWORTH and Osborne and Lilly are second to none. Wow! What a journey. Please take this seriously for those in addition or wanting to recover! I went here during covid season 2020 when I got my DUI. I was regretting it, didn't take it seriously, etc. I did my month time stay there. Went home continued with addiction cause I still didn't care. After mother's day weekend on 05.09.22 was my first day of sobriety. I'm still sober to this day. Let me tell you what, I've had the most fantastic experiences and time of my life sober! Looking back, wish I'd took things seriously. I even got off probation this year in June. I wasn't supposed to get off until November next year 2024. I mean God's work is honestly a blessing and you definitely feel him working thru you. I remember starting out here at this place, they said "higher power" and I'm like naw, I don't got that. Not even my kids. Oh yeah, God is my highest power! This place is amazing! Trust me! Great staff, food, location, etc! Just please get help! It's not worth your life ending on bad terms! I will never go back to that life style. Sobriety is just the coolest 😎 Lord the energy you have, stability, motivation, passion to keep striving and going in life! Yes!! No more laziness! It's just nice! Thank to this place and the DUI was a huge lesson I needed to kick my rear end into gear! Let's keep going! SOBRIETY ROCKS! SOBRIETY IS THE COOLEST 😎

I have had anxiety with MRIs for my whole life. I think today I went to Fairview in Wyoming and Tim was a fantastic radiologist. He was kind he met all my needs. It was the first time that I did not have an anxiety attack. I laid there and listen to the music and it was done quickly.

Food was served hot, which was good. Veggies overcooked, but for the type of eater in a hospital bed, probably perfect. Goes along with the need for salt. Pot pie crust was buttery and flakey. Dinner roll was quality. For a hospital, 4 out of 5 stars, but still would recommend not needing to eat here. Lol

I graduated from The Shakopee Haven in December 2022. This place changed my life for the better. I owe a lot to my Counselor Chris for not giving up on me. He gave me so many tools to use in life after treatment to continue to stay clean. He always told me I had the ability to restore and rebuild with my children if I stay clean. I don't know what others are saying, but Penny is a fantastic counselor. She was more than fair with me and runs a good program. I say this from the experience of having been in treatment 6 times. She will work with you, if you work with her. You gotta be willing to do the work tho. Otherwise, like me, you will fail. Its a 0 BS program.

I have had the luxury of meeting 2 of the therapist here, Amanda and Val. Both have helped me significantly. Its hard to find a good therapist and when you do its worth the effort. I have been working with Val for a little while and we have a great connection. I feel like Im getting the help I desperately needed and was not able to find elsewhere. I highly recommend this place. When it comes to therapy in general, finding a good fit is up to the individual and it may vary person to person. I feel blessed to have 2 for 2 at this place.

I was court ordered to this facility in April of 1997. I spent my first year as a teenager here and was discharged in May of 1998. Once I began to follow the program my life got easier. There were plenty of horrible moments while I was here though. Any small disobedience would knock you down to level 0 and you were forced to sit in a 6' by 6' box in the lower level of the house for an hour. If you didn't calm down or were disrespectful to the staff your hour on level 0 could turn into several hours of isolation. I spent many hours in the box at a time banging my head against the wall. Eventually I learned to be calm when I got knocked down to level 0 and did my hour of time. In order to get back to the general population you had to write an essay on the behavior that got you put on level 0. Writing was a daily task that I had to complete. I had to think about situations daily where I acted out and write about it. They used thinking errors and tactics to make you think about how you interact with others. I had to goals each day to focus on certain thinking errors and tactics. My handwriting got really small and was perfect from my daily essays. Having to look at myself and my flaws so deeply at such a young age helped shape the person I am today. I was taught that my thoughts became feelings which became emotions and then actions. I had to control my emotions in order to act in a positive manner. I ended up getting to step 4 out 5 in the program before I was discharged. I remember only a handful of kids ever got to step 5. As you progress up the steps you got more privileges. This was a great incentive for me to start acting better. I do believe that there is some sort of brainwashing with having to write about your flaws daily. But this has made me extremely intelligent on how to interact with others and push situations to fit my narrative. As I moved up the steps I was able to transition to the public middle school. The long bus rides to and from school was the highlight of my day. I was able to escape the reality that I was living. I didn't have to think about what I did wrong in the moment and which thinking error I was going to write about. I was able to go on some outings and even a camping trip while I was there. I felt like the staff had my best interests in mind although I would lash out from time to time. My primary staff member Shad really helped me adjust to life at Bar None. He showed me how to be confident with myself and that I was a good person. I ended up becoming a leader of the house I was in even though I was younger than all the other residents. I showed self composure daily and really worked the program that was expected of me. Although I have many negative thoughts about this place; I know that it helped shape the man I am today. I live with integrity and I am a valuable part of my community. As an extremely troubled adolescent and then becoming a leader made me a much stronger person.This place was a challenge that I overcame and I am a better person because of it. I'm not sure how it has changed over the years. I think they had some good things going right for them in the 90's. My experience overall was uplifting but also a struggle at times. Mental and behavioral health will always be up to the individual to want the change.

The nutritionist there is HORRIBLE. I personally am lactose intolerant and when I was admitted my liver was bad, so I needed a diet tailored to helping me recover. She told me if I can’t find anything to just eat from the salad bar. I stood my ground and she let the kitchen staff know I was lactose intolerant and couldn’t eat fried stuff but that is ridiculous I should not have to argue with her. Then my roommate had ARFID so she needed dietary help, and the nutritionist told her to eat bread. That’s a sad and pathetic excuse for a nutritionist. Staffs great but they should certainly fire her.

Very caring staff and a very welcoming environment. Food is very good. Could not have gotta sober or gotten through withdrawals with out coming here. If you or a loved one are struggling this is the best program I have ever attend. It saved my life!

With any institution trying to implement a broad program for individuals, there are bound to be issues. With that being said, my time at HBF Plymouth was invaluable. I especially want to mention Mary the psychologist & counselors Sara and Cozi on the Pioneer Unit. Advocacy is a huge part of individual recovery, and I was especially encouraged by these three to ask for what I need when I need it. It works if you work it!

Residential was crucial for me to start my Recovery journey and IOP (shout out to Jaime and Cheryl)has been instrumental in reaching 90 days sober! Went to this place in 2018 short term program, 3 months. Saved and changed my life. I understand it may not be for some but it always starts with yourself, you have to really want it and if you do the people and counselors here will help guide your way. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows here or anywhere for that matter, you have to be strong you have to be determined and if you are this place will work wonders for you. I'll have 8 years sober in 2 days and it all started here. Life is what you make it. If you're lost it doesn't mean you're lost forever, sometimes we all just need a little help and adult and teen challenge can be that help.

I went here back in 2023 I believe in the beginning of July. I delayed my go and staff was saying you’ll wish you went sooner I did! I loved it this place has been a huge part of my sobriety I wish I could’ve stayed longer than a month! Which they will allow you to stay longer! They do help you find scholarships so you can get in! So far my experience with Anne Marie has been TERRIBLE!!!! Early in recovery dealing with disconnection notices and getting back into the work force relying on public transportation in rural Minnesota and trying to find housing is NOT EASY and neither it is an excuse, but I am not sure how she can be kicked out of group after 1 group absence and individual. It is frustrating to work with a provider who calls their clients names during sessions and communicates in a condescending manner. Is this place not trauma informed? I’m so confused as to how I was discharged without being able to speak for myself or to Anne Marie’s supervisor. UPDATE: Club recovery was ready to listen to my concerns and was quick to offer an efficient solution. I am highly satisfied with the care that I've received at Club Recovery, but amazed at their proficient customer service.

I absolutely adored my loving, kind, understanding, compassionate and just a teeny tiny bit rough, counselor, Ava. Additionally, the program isn't like others that I've been to. I felt less triggered and much more like a family. Park gave me a purpose and motivation to get up, go, and actively participate every day. I enjoyed My time there so so much!!! And I came away with a great support system and the tools to be successful and healthy. If you are looking for a good and loving recovery program, you will find it in Park Ave!!! Recommend 20 out of 10!!!!!

I went here on June 2nd 2023 I've been sober ever since! I still go here for therapy I absolutely love this place! I honestly cannot say enough great things about the staff they genuinely care about each and every client and it shows tremendously! Park Ave saved my life and my family! They didn't just help me get sober they helped me recover and gave me the best tools to maintain my recovery! I do and will continue to recommend Park Ave to anyone who struggles with addiction! Everything is done in a timely fashion. I don’t have to call but once to get an appointment, it’s easy to access my therapist and so far the customer service has been great. My journey in recovery began just over 10 yrs ago. When I went to my first treatment center, I wasn't even old enough to legally drink. I have been to 4x different rehabs on 6x occasions. I have both years long periods of sobriety and of relapse. Vinland is the most complete program I have ever been able to experience. It is exactly what I needed. I do believe that one's environment can influence their experience, eg the qualities of a treatment facility; it's staff, programming, and faculty etc, but perhaps more important of a factor when it comes to success is the attitude one brings into that environment. Vinland provided me with what I needed to heal. In my daily groups, I was exposed to a variety of treatment models/lenses: cbt, dbt, AA, NA, fitness, nutrition, literary analysis and sports psych., faith, science, games, discussion, etc and even riddles (s/o Angie 2.) Ie various philosophies both modern and ancient. This team goes out of their way to support your unique needs whether you are ready to believe in yourself or not. I have found that those willing to recover and change often do so more than those who do not believe change to be worthwhile, ie the only thing in your way is you, and even then they have your back... so imo it is clinically foolish to suggest otherwise in most instances. Each of my 52 days, I was met with various individuals willing to go out of their way to make sure I felt seen and cared for, which necessarily included being held accountable and challenged. No environment or attitude is perfect. Improvement can always be made. I do however believe it is ridiculous to portray Vinland as an obstacle to recovery. I think those people who blame Vinland for their negative experience are confusing it with what is likely more of an internal shortcoming, ie most if not all claims of neglect, indifference, incompetence etc average out as irrational. I found nearly all staff at Vinland to be exceptionally caring and competent. I was also blessed to be surrounded by incredible peers. I found strength here and I will forever be grateful for these connections. Thank you in particular to Molly, Murph (Human), Lauren, Hannah, Austin, Janina, Jeff, Allana, Elle, Kayla, Mary, Sherri, Erin, Mick, Connie, Amanda & even Bernie's unruly ass too, B.D. I used for 20 some yrs i went to the dr and they told my mom straight out i was going to end up dieing from my addiction i went to a 12 step program in st cloud 12 times somehow by the grace of god we found vinland i would of lost my family if it wasn't for vinland ive been sober over 17 yrs now even now I still call the overnight staff till this day i dont get to talk to them very often but they do there checks and they might not be in the office this place is great
