Their Crisis Line and support was seriously helpful in a time in my life where I needed it the most. I felt comfortable talking with the therapist and person over the phone. This was my second time receiving treatment at Hazelden, and I truly felt a deeper sense of connection and growth this time (quality of service improved since last time ) This time, working with my counselor “nas” made a big difference in my experience. He showed great understanding, professionalism, and sensitivity while addressing my addiction challenges. His approach was thoughtful and respectful, and I always felt safe and heard during our sessions. Really loved the mental health part and mental health professionals!! I’ve learned so much about myself, and I’m proud to say I’m now two months sober.

My daughter recently attended this rehab facility where she stayed for approximately 45 days. This is her 1st time @ Truly wanting & getting sober 💯%. She tells every1 great things about the people there @ meadow Creek who's lives & testimonials were so Very helpful. Major Thanks 2 the people that Truly Care 4 her & helped with teaching her the tools 2 maintain sobriety. Apparently they also serve Really Good food which is Definitely Awe-sum. Wow! What a journey. Please take this seriously for those in addition or wanting to recover! I went here during covid season 2020 when I got my DUI. I was regretting it, didn't take it seriously, etc. I did my month time stay there. Went home continued with addiction cause I still didn't care. After mother's day weekend on 05.09.22 was my first day of sobriety. I'm still sober to this day. Let me tell you what, I've had the most fantastic experiences and time of my life sober! Looking back, wish I'd took things seriously. I even got off probation this year in June. I wasn't supposed to get off until November next year 2024. I mean God's work is honestly a blessing and you definitely feel him working thru you. I remember starting out here at this place, they said "higher power" and I'm like naw, I don't got that. Not even my kids. Oh yeah, God is my highest power! This place is amazing! Trust me! Great staff, food, location, etc! Just please get help! It's not worth your life ending on bad terms! I will never go back to that life style. Sobriety is just the coolest 😎 Lord the energy you have, stability, motivation, passion to keep striving and going in life! Yes!! No more laziness! It's just nice! Thank to this place and the DUI was a huge lesson I needed to kick my rear end into gear! Let's keep going! SOBRIETY ROCKS! SOBRIETY IS THE COOLEST 😎

I’ve just started working with Jennifer as my treatment counselor, and I can already tell she’s going to make a real difference in my recovery. She’s extremely kind and welcoming, which makes it easy to open up and feel comfortable in group sessions. She listens with genuine care and offers guidance that feels both supportive and practical.
What stands out the most is how she contributes to the group. She’s encouraging, fair, and always keeps us focused on moving forward. I have had the luxury of meeting 2 of the therapist here, Amanda and Val. Both have helped me significantly. Its hard to find a good therapist and when you do its worth the effort. I have been working with Val for a little while and we have a great connection. I feel like Im getting the help I desperately needed and was not able to find elsewhere. I highly recommend this place. When it comes to therapy in general, finding a good fit is up to the individual and it may vary person to person. I feel blessed to have 2 for 2 at this place.

I was court ordered to this facility in April of 1997. I spent my first year as a teenager here and was discharged in May of 1998. Once I began to follow the program my life got easier. There were plenty of horrible moments while I was here though. Any small disobedience would knock you down to level 0 and you were forced to sit in a 6' by 6' box in the lower level of the house for an hour. If you didn't calm down or were disrespectful to the staff your hour on level 0 could turn into several hours of isolation. I spent many hours in the box at a time banging my head against the wall. Eventually I learned to be calm when I got knocked down to level 0 and did my hour of time. In order to get back to the general population you had to write an essay on the behavior that got you put on level 0. Writing was a daily task that I had to complete. I had to think about situations daily where I acted out and write about it. They used thinking errors and tactics to make you think about how you interact with others. I had to goals each day to focus on certain thinking errors and tactics. My handwriting got really small and was perfect from my daily essays. Having to look at myself and my flaws so deeply at such a young age helped shape the person I am today. I was taught that my thoughts became feelings which became emotions and then actions. I had to control my emotions in order to act in a positive manner. I ended up getting to step 4 out 5 in the program before I was discharged. I remember only a handful of kids ever got to step 5. As you progress up the steps you got more privileges. This was a great incentive for me to start acting better. I do believe that there is some sort of brainwashing with having to write about your flaws daily. But this has made me extremely intelligent on how to interact with others and push situations to fit my narrative. As I moved up the steps I was able to transition to the public middle school. The long bus rides to and from school was the highlight of my day. I was able to escape the reality that I was living. I didn't have to think about what I did wrong in the moment and which thinking error I was going to write about. I was able to go on some outings and even a camping trip while I was there. I felt like the staff had my best interests in mind although I would lash out from time to time. My primary staff member Shad really helped me adjust to life at Bar None. He showed me how to be confident with myself and that I was a good person. I ended up becoming a leader of the house I was in even though I was younger than all the other residents. I showed self composure daily and really worked the program that was expected of me. Although I have many negative thoughts about this place; I know that it helped shape the man I am today. I live with integrity and I am a valuable part of my community. As an extremely troubled adolescent and then becoming a leader made me a much stronger person.This place was a challenge that I overcame and I am a better person because of it. I'm not sure how it has changed over the years. I think they had some good things going right for them in the 90's. My experience overall was uplifting but also a struggle at times. Mental and behavioral health will always be up to the individual to want the change.

I recently completed my time at Hazelden Betty Ford, and I can honestly say it was a life-changing experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt supported and welcomed into a community that truly understands the journey to recovery. I enjoyed every minute of my stay and met so many lifelong friends who continue to be an important part of my life.
During my time there, I learned that I can have fun while being sober, which was a huge revelation for me. The program gave me valuable life skills that I will carry with me forever, and the staff helped me get my medications sorted out, which made a world of difference in my day-to-day well-being.
I especially appreciated the day treatment program, which kept me engaged, motivated, and focused on my recovery. Now that I’m in IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program), I’m still enjoying the supportive structure and continuing to grow every day. So my experience here was an amazing life changing moment, that is leading the way for me to be successful in my Recovery. From every single RA to the kitchen staff, and everyone else that works there. My counselor was Jon, he was funny, blunt, caring and very smart. Im grateful to have met him. Cheryl and Kelly may seem like tough cookies, but they are god sent human beings that want nothing but the best for each and everyone of you. I see the hate in the comments..... The program is simple, follow the rules, learn, participate, and dont waste a bed for people that really want this!. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Im blessed i got the chance. Burkwood is an amazing place. Their staff truly care and are so rich of information to share about addiction, recovery, and real life. They’re are meant for their jobs. I’ve learned so much while I was there. I valued the daily book we filled out on our own, fully engaging and eye opening. I was lucky to have Pete as my counselor. His approach was thorough and helpful. My only complaint is that it was crowded there and access to phones, bathrooms, and laundry was a bit tricky but maybe that will change at some point. Thank you Burkwood!

Our Daughter is alive today because of God’s love and grace and a big help from The Retreat. She has been sober now for over 3 years. Thank you staff at the Retreat for giving us our daughter back. She spent 2 months there and because she was ready to change The Retreat assisted her in finding new direction for her life. The true key to it all was her desire to never return to the past life and her commitment to change it. The Retreat was the Instrumental cog to assist in that journey.

So far my experience with Anne Marie has been TERRIBLE!!!! Early in recovery dealing with disconnection notices and getting back into the work force relying on public transportation in rural Minnesota and trying to find housing is NOT EASY and neither it is an excuse, but I am not sure how she can be kicked out of group after 1 group absence and individual. It is frustrating to work with a provider who calls their clients names during sessions and communicates in a condescending manner. Is this place not trauma informed? I’m so confused as to how I was discharged without being able to speak for myself or to Anne Marie’s supervisor.
UPDATE: Club recovery was ready to listen to my concerns and was quick to offer an efficient solution. I am highly satisfied with the care that I've received at Club Recovery, but amazed at their proficient customer service.

I absolutely adored my loving, kind, understanding, compassionate and just a teeny tiny bit rough, counselor, Ava.
Additionally, the program isn't like others that I've been to. I felt less triggered and much more like a family. Park gave me a purpose and motivation to get up, go, and actively participate every day. I enjoyed My time there so so much!!! And I came away with a great support system and the tools to be successful and healthy.
If you are looking for a good and loving recovery program, you will find it in Park Ave!!! Recommend 20 out of 10!!!!!

I went here on June 2nd 2023 I've been sober ever since! I still go here for therapy I absolutely love this place! I honestly cannot say enough great things about the staff they genuinely care about each and every client and it shows tremendously! Park Ave saved my life and my family! They didn't just help me get sober they helped me recover and gave me the best tools to maintain my recovery! I do and will continue to recommend Park Ave to anyone who struggles with addiction! I've been to several treatments and NEVER maintained my recovery until I went here! My family and I will be forever grateful to Park Ave for their dedication to save lives they certainly saved mine!

The staff is amazing and only wants to help in any way they can. The facility itself is well kept, very clean with a peaceful environment, comfortable and serene. This is the only methadone clinic I have ever been to, but I really like the nurses here and the staff is amazing. I got really sick one morning and they took really good care of me and nobody made a big deal of it. I love Bryant he is a great counselor - very thorough when we meet. Going to dose almost every morning can be a drag but they make it easy.
