New Life isn t rated #1 in Minnesota for no reason. This place has completely changed my life, my outlook on life, and my outlook on myself. I ve been there twice (2017, and 2021) As much as I d love to go back because it s that amazing and life changing, I don t see that in my life plans unless it s for a visit/fundraiser. I can t explain to anyone how great the Program Director, Scott Radloff, is. He never fails to go above and beyond for the clients in his care. He worked so hard to get me in there back in May of 2021, when I wanted to go there again and didn t want to go anywhere else, and needed help immediately. He is so kind, and always has the right things to say at the right time. All staff there is great, my group of girls was amazing and so close both times. I could sit and try to think for hours and not be able to come up with one negative thing to say about New Life. If you re struggling, please choose this place! Because of my desire to stop using drugs, and with the amazing help of this place, I am about to come up on 2 years sober! Thanks NLTC for taking the girl who was broken into a million pieces and helping me make myself whole again! I am forever grateful.

Quality care by small town caring staff. If you don't have a primary get one. In response to the self-claimed guide, listening to the USD Sanford doctors in Sioux Falls needs to be done with discretion. USD Sanford in Sioux Falls sufferers from undue arrogance causing misdiagnosis. As an example I have to have heartburn even though I can tell I don't. My sinus problems are due to overuse of antihistamines even though they weren't around in the 50s.

Many of the people posting negative comments are not complaining about Avera, they are complaining about a particular doctor. The trick here, as it is in every clinic in the country, is getting a doctor (what we used to call a GP I guess) that's right for you. I have Dr. Lilgaroth, she is great, so I gave 5 stars. My wife has had bad experiences in the past with so many male drs (the old "you're a woman & I'm both a man AND a doctor, so I'm gonna ignore what you say") that she finally demanded a female doctor, and that happened to work out great for her. Gender may not have been the reason, she may just have got a great dr-- the important thing is, my wife was comfortable with her. When her female dr retired, she ended up with a male dr (Dr Gunderson, I believe?) and she says he is great. Ya just gotta shop around and get a doc that is a fit for you-- that is true of any clinic, not just Avera. But I've also had pretty much all positive experiences with other parts of the clinic-- reception, labs, nurses, Avera hospitals, even the money people. (Btw, I'm not a nice guy or a pollyanna; I am by nature an extremely demanding pain in the, uh, rear.)

i ve been here 3 times. I was in adolescent 1 twice and the food is good, fun groups and the staff is nice and they care. They will talk to you if you need help or play card games if they are not busy. They show you how to cope as long as you re paying attention. some kids there can be rude but it s not personal and doesn t happen very often.

I personally had a great experience. I was seeing Amber Myers. My first visit was uncertainty; I didn t have any idea if this woman could provide the care I needed. Then a year later, I learned quite a bit about myself. Amber, pays attention to her patients. She actively listens. Instead of making suggestions, she allows her patients to self-reflect by using questions that make you think, rather than enforcing an idea. Sort of like planting a seed. Despite my care with physiatrist, over at Avera behavioral healths main facility, I actually got results. I improved through therapeutic techniques, rather than consuming medication. I can say that the practice at Avera behavioral health psychiatry is taboo. One little statement could cost you a prescription that you actually need and lead to you being misdiagnosed for something else. This happened to me. One doctor by the name of Losee, said to me, My husband has adhd and he doesn t need medication. So why do you? This baffled me for the longest time. I was taken off my prescription for adhd, because I made a subtle statement about being angry at how my life was unfolding, about two years ago. She kept telling me if I went to get labs done (blood testing) she would provide my medication again. It never happened.
