The nutritionist there is HORRIBLE. I personally am lactose intolerant and when I was admitted my liver was bad, so I needed a diet tailored to helping me recover. She told me if I can’t find anything to just eat from the salad bar. I stood my ground and she let the kitchen staff know I was lactose intolerant and couldn’t eat fried stuff but that is ridiculous I should not have to argue with her. Then my roommate had ARFID so she needed dietary help, and the nutritionist told her to eat bread. That’s a sad and pathetic excuse for a nutritionist. Staffs great but they should certainly fire her.

Very caring staff and a very welcoming environment. Food is very good. Could not have gotta sober or gotten through withdrawals with out coming here. If you or a loved one are struggling this is the best program I have ever attend. It saved my life!

To any brand new guests at the Retreat reading Google reviews, either because you’re worried about what exactly you’ve signed up for, or just want to see what others’ experiences have been like—put the phone away—this place is extraordinary. It might make you upset sometimes, and you’ll come to understand uncomfortable truths about yourself. Might piss you off a little, and you’ll learn habits of healthy resolution. Learn from this place. When a line of people out the door say “good morning” and ask “how are you doing today?” they TRULY want to know. You might never find a group of friends quite like the ones you’ll have at the Retreat. Being an alumni of the Retreat is one of the things I am most proud to call myself.

I went here back in 2023 I believe in the beginning of July. I delayed my go and staff was saying you’ll wish you went sooner I did! I loved it this place has been a huge part of my sobriety I wish I could’ve stayed longer than a month! Which they will allow you to stay longer! They do help you find scholarships so you can get in! Do no hesitate just call! I still struggle with addiction but I have slowed down a lot because of this place! They do offer help after just call and make the change here!

Very helpful, life changing, spiritual experience that enables me the best abilities to utilize the things I have learned. Fellowship and good fun. I know it was the best place for me. I am strong and practicing the 12 steps.🙏.

Just got home from Burkwood yesterday! Definitely recommend them. The counselors are rough but that’s because they care. I’ve been to treatment before, however this time learned way more than I ever have. The nursing staff is knowledgeable and helpful. While the doctor only comes on Wednesday she is amazing. And don’t let me forget the cooks Bret and Val! They are definitely top notch! Thank you everyone at Burkwood!

If you are looking to be the best version of yourself, you have found it!!! Burkwood is a Tony Robins style boot camp. This centered based program is a master class on recovery, in my opinion, it's the one place you can really start over and begin the change so desperately needed for the road to recovery!!! The staff at Burkwood is second to none. The RA's and nurse's understand you and are amazing people!!! The cooks created fantastic food (Michelin Star grade) three squares and dessert!!! Also snacks on deck😉 The counselors are fantastic and each has a unique experience which gives better perspective on your journey! You can really emerse yourself in the program if you keep an open mind, don't get in your own way, and mind your bobber. With the community, you will feel like family, not only with the clients but the staff as well! People really care here and you will feel it! The comrodary you may not have known you needed is here and helps you become healthy, not only for yourself but in relationships and life over all. The best version of yourself is waiting to be realized!! Everyone I know has congratulated my achievements since graduating this program. I have no regrets and a much clearer pathway to my goals in recovery. After here, life really begins!

My daughter and I needed a therapist to help us talk through some childhood experiences that left our relationship strained. We asked for a female therapist who understands both the teenage brain and adulthood. We found Jacey. She not only understands the teenage brain, she also understands young single motherhood, heavy life circumstances with a professional high demanding career, graduate school and commitment in the community. Her roadmap for our sessions allows our discussions to simply flow flawlessly. One of the best decisions I’ve made for my family thus far this year.

Recovery happens when the client wants it badly enough. I found the counselors, facilitators and therapists had genuine concern for my well being. I still attend therapy here.

I absolutely adored my loving, kind, understanding, compassionate and just a teeny tiny bit rough, counselor, Ava. Additionally, the program isn't like others that I've been to. I felt less triggered and much more like a family. Park gave me a purpose and motivation to get up, go, and actively participate every day. I enjoyed My time there so so much!!! And I came away with a great support system and the tools to be successful and healthy. If you are looking for a good and loving recovery program, you will find it in Park Ave!!! Recommend 20 out of 10!!!!!

I went here on June 2nd 2023 I've been sober ever since! I still go here for therapy I absolutely love this place! I honestly cannot say enough great things about the staff they genuinely care about each and every client and it shows tremendously! Park Ave saved my life and my family! They didn't just help me get sober they helped me recover and gave me the best tools to maintain my recovery! I do and will continue to recommend Park Ave to anyone who struggles with addiction! I've been to several treatments and NEVER maintained my recovery until I went here! My family and I will be forever grateful to Park Ave for their dedication to save lives they certainly saved mine!

They are a good clinic with both therapy, medication providers group therapies and even testing in one office It's nice not having to run all over town to different offices to get the different specialties you need. I find the staff competent and nice.

Awesome program and a very professional staff.

Capital park is EXCEPTIONAL. They make you feel like family from the doctor's, the techs, the nurses and even the kitchen staff. Just unbelievable place to get help from. They have people like Jessica who just make you feel like a human being not a patient and all the other therapists who are wonderful. I truly honestly and deeply love capital park for that!

My child had his first visit to the doctor. I asked an interpreter to assist over the phone, but the connection was choppy and the quality wasn’t good. While this might be fine for general medical consultations, I don’t think it’s suitable for situations where you need to express your feelings. Also, the doctor’s diagnosis was different from what I had expected, so I plan to ask about my concerns at the next appointment.

We are doing in home therapy and Jessica is amazing she wants to be on top of things checking in to see how things are going and we will be starting with a new therapist this week and looking forward to this so far the staff are amazing and actually listen to you and give very helpful advice

The practitioner I see is wonderful. Smart, attentive and caring. The staff at the office are also very friendly. Their online portal is easy to use and responsive. The only difficulty can be waiting to speak with someone on the phone.

A huge shout-out to my amazing therapist, Wa C., and Susan D., who referred me to her. Both are highly professional and truly prioritize patient interests. Working with Wa has been deeply thought-provoking, healing, and transformative. She helped me gain profound self-awareness and practical insights that led to visible improvements in my mood and life. It was a real struggle to find a therapist who resonates with me culturally and speaks Mandarin—allowing me to express my thoughts more smoothly in my native language—so I feel incredibly lucky to have found Wa. Minnesota definitely needs more Mandarin-speaking therapists to meet this demand!

It's a tight and small clinic, but the care I've received has always been better than most facilities. The facility is clean, but could use a check-in kiosk like the ones many other facilities have. I say that only because the poor lady behind the counter was still engaged in warfare with her bowels and it muddied up things for a few minutes. Still; no complaints. The doctors listen, are experts in their field, and the staff wants to interact with you.

I’ve been going to the Shakopee VA for over three years, and it has consistently been the best medical care I’ve received anywhere. From the moment you walk in, the front desk staff are kind, helpful, and quick to respond. They make you feel welcome and supported right away. The psychologists and physical therapists here are also excellent. They do their best to schedule appointments quickly, they listen, and they work with you to address your needs in a real and meaningful way. Most of all, I want to recognize Dr. Reddy. She provides care at a personal level that’s hard to find. She makes sure medications, scans, and bloodwork are handled promptly, and she responds to messages and appointment requests almost immediately. It’s clear how much she cares about her patients and how hard she works every day. Overall, I’m very grateful for the staff and providers at the Shakopee VA. Their professionalism, kindness, and commitment truly make a difference
