I went there 8-18-2011. Saved my life. They showed me compassion when I had no compassion for anyone or anything. They gave me tough love. That's what I needed or I never would have gotten sober. In August I will have 12 years sober. They gave me hope. Thank you. Update 9-2-2024 13 years sober this year. Whoop whoop. Life is good. Thank you guys so much. 14 years today. Thank you folks for being their when I was at my lowest. Updated 8-19-2025. I entered on the 18th with a holier than thou attitude, and with an attitude like that I was doomed. I had to trust the Staff to take care of me because I was no longer capable of doing it alone, and come to find out I didn't have to live like that anymore if I didn;t want to and I didn't to do it alone. Thank you.

Walking into AI Rehab House, I found myself paying close attention to everything around me. The routines were structured but never felt rigid, and I spent the first few days quietly observing how the staff interacted with everyone. The way they balanced warmth with professionalism stood out to me. Group sessions gave me a chance to reflect on my own habits while also learning from others, and I noticed how each conversation shifted my perspective a little more. Individual therapy felt almost like studying myself from the outside, seeing patterns I hadn’t noticed before. By the time my stay ended, I wasn’t just feeling better—I understood myself on a deeper level. The mix of observation and personal growth made the experience genuinely transformative.

I just don't understand all of the negativity spewed at this clinic. Whether those apposed were drug seeking or doctor shopping. Let me tell you. Dr Sung spent an hour and a half with me. I had tried to get sober before and had just got out of prison. I promised myself I was going to stay clean and live a good life. Within 6 months of leaving prison the thoughts of using were strong. I started drinking and looking for ways to get drugs. I knew I needed help or I was going to go down the same path I promised never to go down again. When I called the Bridge there was not any beds available at the time, I told them my situation and told them I really needed to get help or I am not sure I would be brave enough to make this phone call again. They allowed me to sleep in a counseling room temporarily until a bed opened. It is not easy living with a bunch of women and being told what to do, but if you are looking for people who really care and what you to succeed then the Bridge is an excelent choice. For any body who gives the Bridge a bad review.....I am not sure what you did, but you were probably in the wrong trying to get away with something you shouldn't have been.

My husband went through the independence center over 30 years ago. He did relapse after the first 3 months but he did not attend any aftercare or AA. Within a year he started going to AA and has been sober for almost 35 years. My son has also been through the independence center twice with varied success. He has had relapses but maintained sobriety for the majority of the time. He has used the tools he learned there to get sober again after relapsing without having to reenter treatment. When you are ready, you are ready. I did three rehabs in the span of three summers and I’ve been sober a year and a half since going to the Independence Center. The ENTIRE staff wass genuinely interested in my recovery. Of course it’s up to me how honest I want to be with my counselor, Chaplin and myself (and God), but their unwavering encouragement doesn’t hurt and it didn’t. The facility is much better than others I’ve been to in Nebraska and they keep the distracting extracurricular horseplay to minimum. They have a great culture and alumni in the A.A. and Lincoln communities.

The time I spent at Valley Hope of O'Neil was pretty awesome. It is where the foundation of my sobriety began. I attended Valley Hope in O’Neill, NE from 9/23/25 to 10/24/25 for alcohol treatment, & had never been in treatment before. It was really hard for me to admit that I needed the help, but I am very happy that I went. The hardest part of treatment is walking through the door. Once I detoxed, I began attending workshops & meeting with counselors & my chaplain. You get out of this what you are willing to put into it. I learned quite a bit about my addiction, and gained tools to keep me sober in the future. Before I was discharged, the staff helped me develop an after care plan. They found an A.A. group close to me, & helped me contact a therapist. I found working with my counselor and my chaplain to be very helpful. I was able to reconnect with my faith during my stay as well. I found a great deal of peace in the on site chapel. I would highly recommend Valley Hope to anyone who is serious about getting sober and staying sober. I have also been able to stay in contact with some friends that I made while attending. It is wonderful having friends that have been through treatment, & have the same goal of staying sober.

This the best treatment center I have ever been too. I highly recommend it. I have been to other places and this one is amazing. The staff, nurses and everyone are genuine and they care about you. They have a really beautiful chapel and spiritual meeting every morning. You don't have to wait on your medications and the food is really good. You also get to keep your phone which is very important in my opinion. So happy with my experience there.

I was recently hospitalized for a relatively minor medical condition. The company I work for has an arduous process for returning to work after being laid off for medical reasons. I desperately needed to be seen on short notice so that I could return to work. The staff at the Lincoln V.A. worked with me diligently. My primary care physician, Sasha Grantski, went above and beyond her normal duties to "squeeze" me in for an appointment. Thanks to her and the Lincoln V.A. staff, I am back to work. I am extremely grateful.

Since day one Blue Valley has been a Godsend! I was at my rock bottom and couldnt have asked for a better referral. I highly advocate now to all my frienda and family. Seeing a therapist isnt just for those that are in a slump its honestly a place to escape and just talk. My therapist, Jen is absolutely the sweetest most gentle, kind and amazing listener. She has genuinely heard me rant, we also share stories about family.. she is a true angel in my book.im forever grateful for her in my healing process. My kids all want to come just because they have seen how much it has changed me for the better of the healing process. I'm more open now with my loved ones and even friends and neighbors. I now advocate for mental health awareness, don't wait til it's too late...go and see any of these theraapists at Blue valley in wahoo. But honestly ask for Jen shes my favorite ❤️ my youngest daughter has also seen Jen and is now seeing Michelle. And she was so excited after her last therapy appt she is excited to come back. I encourage it to be a safe place to just talk about anything that they don't want to talk to anyone else about. Its a safe space. If you need a safe space Blue Valley in wahoo is the place to go.

I've been to The Bridge on more than one occasion, graduating once as well. Game-changer. They truly care about your plan going forward after as well. In comparison to other treatment centers I've been to, I was most impressed with The Bridge. Anyone truly looking to change one's life for the better, I highly recommend giving this place a shot. Great people, amazing program.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is massively underfunded. If you know a politician or someone with influence, please tell them to do more for this place. Not the staff's fault at all. They cooked our food, they cleaned at night. All I had to do was exist and fix myself. Trish admitted me and assured me that this was the right thing to do. She was the first person I met and she was perfect for the job. She was so hard working that day, putting out fires all over and never even came close to losing her temper. Next the nurse pulled me in. I can't remember her name and I feel terrible for that. But this woman didn't have to listen to my sob story. She listened for almost 40 minutes. I was really going through it, and I just needed someone to listen. She assured me I seemed like a good person and that was all I ever needed to hear. Thank you. Then my counselor, Syra. This woman was born to do this job. What an amazing soul. She cut right through and knew exactly what I needed. Coping skills, trigger spotting, help with trauma. She's the best. If she was doing freelance, I would go straight to her. I think the Bridge has her though. Thank you guys. I will tell everyone. You guys are the best. I will make you proud that you do your job.

I went to the Bridge in January, lost, suicidal and got admitted to respite. I then went to treatment there. Where I was able to deal with past trauma, mental health and drug addiction. With the help of staff and other clients I was able to turn things around. Great program I recommend to anyone who wants the help. They saved my life.
