Luckily for me my wife left and it was a wake up call. I ended up at enlightened. From detox to main campus my life slowly changed. My mindset and thoughts about myself turned. This place TRULY CARES. They saved my life but what's great is so did I . They made realize that. Lisa , my counselor, I will forever be grateful for. I couldn't of been paired with someone better for me. She never ONCE talked down to me or made me feel less. They work with you sometimes a little strict but that's because they care and trying to show you THERE IS A WAY OUT '.... they have excellent groups, we have workers that will help you go on if you're interested reaching a plateau whether it be work, transportation, or mental help, going back to work etc. Not just a place of medication oh, it's a place of help real help and there good people once you get to know them they become your friend! And I've seen quite a few different counselor s LMAO.... though I've always been on the up-and-up not breaking any big rules. I only question is why we do not use the red syrup methadone!??.... I have stomach issues where sometimes the medicine doesn't Workwell! I prefer the red syrup I don't know if we'll ever change to that but otherwise I give John Brooks 95%! I definitely recommend this place a million percent! The people who work here really really care about their clients.. this place might not be top in luxury... And I have even heard people talk down on it because it's not new and flashy.. but this place puts so much time and energy into their clients. They truly care about helping their clients to get better ! I would rather go here or send someone I love here than anywhere else! They really work to find out your core issues, and what is causing you to use.. and then help you to figure out new coping techniques to prevent future relapse.. everyday I am so grateful for my experience here... Everything that I learned here changed me for the better! I am grateful for everyone who worked here and touched my life.. I believe it's Helen who works the frost desk is amazing helpful,kind, funny, respectful, all of the staff at the front is nice, Donna is amazing super awesome and compassionate all of the girls are. Let alone their all pretty outside and inside. The faculty itself very clean, fast multiple windows. Place has greatly effected my life for the positive. My counselor Tess is amazing caring,. compassionate as well as Linda. IV yet to have a negative experience. If you need help this place is where you wanna go. I can't say enough positive things about the staff and facility. I'm super greatful to have them. Going here was one of the best decisions I made. If ur battling I would tell ya to just go and check it out you can always stop if it's not for you but if you give it a chance I believe this will save your life and help you get back to working and working out and or just making things more stable for you. I greatly appreciate all the doctors and the whole staff and I can't thank them all enough for coming in to work everyday to save lives and help us. I really hope they know how important each one of them is including the guards which are also super cool and nice as well as the janitors who keeps the facility super clean. The amount of people they have helped surpasses anything I've ever seen in the recovery world in this state.They go above and beyond for their patients and im alive today because of them. I'm shocked an appalled to here about the staff no longer being employed there. Like I said this is the main center hub of the recovery network in Toms River without Candace Matt&Matt and their team the amount of lives that will be effected is insurmountable. I was told that it wasn't an issue. They were ordering mouse wads as far as drug testing goes then I find out weeks later, but that's not going to be allowed and I can get a doctors note and they may or may not honor it. Then I was told the groups were 6-9 Tuesday Wednesday Thursday. I had inquired about afternoon groups as that's really late at night, I was told that Tuesday morning there was an afternoon group and there was an instrument in Friday morning group. Oh well again Jake gave me misinformation because he didn't even bother to look in my files to know that I was at level IOP not OP therefore I wouldn't be able to do the Tuesday morning or Friday afternoon. Intermittent Group, and also not telling me that Monday night was also an option as well as Friday nights being an option. Edit to update my review. Although there was weeks of misinformation given by Jake, I decided to just ask to speak with someone else I've been in contact with Carissa and she has been extremely kind and has been very helpful into getting this process started. Thank you Carissa Edit again: all though getting enrolled wasn't the most ideal process I can say the groups are really great and the counselors are all so kind. Dana has such a huge heart as do they all and they do all truly care about the clients.
