For whatever reason cravings and temptations came back, but I used what I learned at the Ridge and am still sober and so thankful. Definitely recommend. This is the best thing you will ever do for yourself. Update: 526 days sober and going strong. I have definitely had cravings and vulnerable points, but have managed to stay sober thanks in large part to the ridge. I’m at 8 months sober today and can say that the things I learned at the Ridge still help me every day- literally. I am still in the aftercare program and getting a lot out of it. If you need help this is a great place to build a foundation for sobriety (and abstinence from other drugs as well). Summary: The Ridge is an excellent comprehensive treatment program for alcohol use disorder (and others). I personally had an exceptional experience with the residential treatment program, intensive outpatient therapy, and aftercare. Nothing about this experience was easy but I am confident that due to my experience with The Ridge I have a solid recovery foundation (I am just over 4 months sober currently). This review focuses on residential care Highlights -well developed program that is evidence based -full days -attendance at local 12 step meetings -access to a wide variety of recreational activities and art and music therapy classes -I felt prepared when I left and have continued to feel that way (it has been difficult but I have the tools) -staff are compassionate and helpful; many are in recovery themselves – peer support – comfortable accomodations and excellent food My advice if you are going to a program like The Ridge (these things helped me to have continued success today) -follow the rules, yes they may seem silly -do awkward things they ask like getting a temporary sponsor and numbers at meetings -listen to their advice, they may says things that sound stupid,my experience is that the things I think sound stupid end up being the pertinent ones -try to relax into the time; enjoy not having to do a ton of chores, cook for yourself etc -take the time to build a new hobby I electected to go to The Ridge when I came to terms with the fact that I have an alcohol use disorder. I was receiving psychiatric care and my provider gently led me to acknowledge this. Two providers independently recommended The Ridge when I expressed interest in treatment. Residential I initially signed up for the 30 day program but decided to stay longer as I was getting a lot out of the program and am really happy that I did. Residential days are very full. The beginning of the day is filled with groups. The afternoon has time for recreational activities (no naps). A lot of people take up pickleball during this time but there is also the option to go to the pool (when open), do art, write, etc. Evenings there are 12 step meetings in the community. Accomodations I stayed in a private room which I would say was Marrott quality. Cleaning services are provided. You are expected to make your bed (a pretty minor thing). The meals are excellent and snacks are freely available. The culinary staff are great- very personable and great educators. It was sufficiently comfortable and quiet enough to get quality sleep. Nursing Nursing staff were generally available and very helpful. Medication time windows could be a bit tight but were feasible. Recovery support specialist staff Recovery support specialists helped with sessions, daily questions, and herding everyone, They all have different personalities but in general were very easy to get along with. The counselors are very professional and extremely nice. Most groups at Arrow are very informative, fun and enjoyable. They also provide food at both the house and office. And you can do Walmart orders or have family and friends bring other foods/snacks to the office to take back to the house while you stay. The help is absolutely there, but this is a place where you genuinely get out of it what you put into it. If you come in with a bad mindset or resistance, you’re probably going to have a rough time — but that’s true of recovery anywhere. Going in with an open mind, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude makes a difference in every single aspect of the process here. What stood out most to me was the expert level of care combined with real kindness and humanity. The staff doesn’t just tell you what to do — they guide you, support you, and give you the tools to take control of your own recovery journey. You’re not treated like a number. The employees truly care, from the techs to the clinical staff, and it shows every day. The clinical team is exceptional, and my counselor Danielle quite literally was a lifesaver for me. Her support, honesty, and commitment to my growth helped me through moments when I didn’t think I could keep going. Having someone who genuinely listens and believes in you can change everything, and that’s what I experienced here. The environment itself is structured, safe, and supportive — and honestly, it’s better than jail by a long shot. And Ashley’s waffles deserve their own recognition — easily the best breakfast in town and something I still talk about. This program gave me guidance, accountability, and hope, but it also taught me that recovery is self-driven. Arrow Passage provided the foundation, and I had to choose to build on it. Because of that combination — their guidance and my willingness — I can say that I owe my life to this program. I have stayed at the recovery village for two months. When I first got here I was unhappy and hearing 45 days felt like a lifetime. 30 seemed impossible, and now here I am at two months and 3 days. The environment is safe, people want to be here. There’s no arguing, support and a lot of help. I went through the oasis program and then did php as well. It can be scary to commit to the change but I found it worth it. If it’s trauma, addiction, whatever you struggle with they have what you need. The main complaints I have heard or had was you do have tape on your phone so FaceTime isn’t available during your stay for Saftey of other clients.. and snacks. Out of all things to consider, not a major deal. They will help you with therapy, education, and meds. I did feel finding sober living after was difficult for me and a few others. You can have care packages dropped off, family/friend visits as well as Amazon orders. Great connections you can make and I’d like to emphasize again, the people here want to get help. But overall this experience saved my life. I wouldn’t have stayed this long if it didn’t and I never expected it to. There activities like art, bon fire, trivia, yoga things to look forward to. You’re worth it, the time is worth it and I hope anyone who reads this chooses themselves. It’s okay to be selfish and again. YOU ARE WORRH IT! You got it! Thank you for all the kindness, patience, love and support I’ve been givin during my stay. Sure there’s discomfort and sacrifices, but your sobriety and mental health is far more important. OARC changed my life. Starting with kiera who was apart of intake , calling with me daily and supporting me, and setting me up immediately when I NEEDED to get in. I was blessed she was able to find a bed in the manner when she did. When I arrived they had already had ordered me a dinner waiting from the catering company. The food during my stay was plentiful and I enjoyed all the meals they provided from the company, the snacks, the pizza, and vending machines. The counselors were awesome and cared so much and were super smart with all the behavioral counseling approaches they gave. OARC saved my life and expidited my recovery, and expidited the recovery of my anxiety issue and clinical depression I developed from a crisis I was dealing with in life. Since my stay, I have returned to work, and in the 6 week stay I have overcome problems that probably would have taken a year or two plus turmoil if I were to try to handle on my own in the real world. Oarc did a great job finding me the right medication and administering and adjusting such meds during this adjustment period I had. I made such close friendships and relationships with everyone there including the counselors and techs. I miss this place tons and I really recommend oarc to anyone going through a crisis, who is really looking to give treatment a full go.

Su Qin is my grandchildren’s counselor and their mom’s and not only do they love her, so do I. She is absolutely wonderful with them and has gotten them to open up so much about their life situations.
