She made it calm and relaxing. The room was comfortable and very quiet. I have been using this hospital since my heart attack in 2015 and always have a 5-star experience there. Wonderful job ladies and gentlemen. It’s a little far from where I live but I would go back. The staff was so patient, tended to every need, and while I was under made sure my husband was good and didn't need anything. They were able to expedite my care with medication management and therapy / counseling. It is an adjustment as this was my first time at a treatment center but it was extremely helpful to me and saved my life. The groups are great for connecting with others and it really shows you are not alone. The staff was incredible they were so caring, patient, and supportive my entire time there. The doctors were wonderful and helpful. The food was absolutely AMAZING. They provided not only help with therapy and medications but provided a safe and structured environment for healing. I met some great people while there and i will never forget them or the staff who helped me out of the toughest time of my life. The only thing i did not care for was limited access to quiet places as it is very bright and noisy. The reason I say that is I don't want my review to be seen as just because I work there. I was at the ER on April 24th because of respiratory failure. I am so thankful for Penn Highlands DuBois. I was treated wonderful and they were on top of everything. The ER was packed and extremely busy. Everywhere is short staffed and now that I work there, I see first hand how busy they really are but work extremely hard and care about the patients. It was always clean, the staff was kind and compassionate. My Uncle was comfortable and well cared for to his last day. He said the food was good and he really felt cared for. They are very efficent, they will work with your schedule and they are genuine people. They are not a group that make you feel ashamed for your journey. They franklin office is very clean and organized, the staff are very nice and forthcoming. They arent trying to hide anything from you. I have had my fair share of office visits, phone calls and insurance problems with other agencies... I have had zero issues here. I would highly recommend crossroads to anybody that needed their help. I feel like they genuinely care about you, they don't force you to follow guidelines that dont make any sense to you and they don't push you uncomfortably. They are here for you and your progress on a timeline thats comfortable to you, not the other way around. 10 out of 10 would recommend. I was here for 7 months?! I loved it I’m glad Im graduated here the teachers are great the staff is great yes there gonna be staff you don’t get along with but that’s anywhere even public schools!!! Staff do not abuse kids here it’s when your in-compliant and you get restrained do to HOSTILITY the fact you got beat at your own game you wanna cry talking about abuse that’s why I said…. Behave yourself. I only made it to status 3 not 4 I was more a behind the scenes and cause chaos and they knew it :) …. The staff is kind, the rules take a bit to get used to. The 3-6 month structured program is perfect for people transitioning back into society. You get to the facility you're on Phase 1 and on blackout for 3 days. After 3 days you get your phone. Which you turn in at 7pm and attend outside AA and NA meetings. You go to Walmart 1 day a week and can go to St. Vincent De Paul and get a voucher for clothes if you can't afford any or come with minimal attire. After 3-4weeks of outside meetings and facility meetings you go to phase 2. On phase 2 you can look for jobs, set up interviews and volunteer your time if you can't work. Get free passes to go to the mall or around town. Phase 3 is the same thing but you can have a car on the premises as long as it's inspected and insured. You get home passes to go visit home that I includes travel time. 3 meals a day, snacks at night time. Discharge planning, aftercare planning, a nice structured program. I've been coming here for treatment for about 2.5 years now, and have gotten great treatment the entire time. The staff cares and genuinely wants to help. I had to go through a couple therapists to get to my current one, but she is an absolute godsend and I'm so incredibly thankful I was able to become her patient. Her name is Kristin, and she's absolutely fantastic. I always know I can reach out to her and get excellent advice. She actually took the time to work her way in through my incredibly thick walls I've built around myself, and put in the effort to actually understand me and how I work. She's never made me feel bad for anything, and knows how to push me to saying/doing what I need to. She's actually made me want to go to therapy. My biggest praise to sing for her is from earlier today, which spurred me to write this review. She just called me, from home, ON HER DAY OFF, to check on me because of an email I sent her last night. She took the time out of her day, unpaid, to call me and make sure that I'm okay and that I'm safe. I'll never forget that.
