I met someone here who needed some help. It is great this place is open on cold nights all night after 9pm and through much of the day. There are snacks and coffee and a place to stay. It is clean and there are pool tables and air hockey and other games and TV. There is a friendly staff member or two there and it is secure but accessible. Very nice for people down on their luck right now.

Hello my name is Mark and I'm an alcoholic I have been for 40 years now not that I am proud of that. I had another DUI conviction and decided I needed help for my problem. I went to ccdaec before I had to by court it was the best thing I could have done for myself but ultimately went to jail and I saw a councilor while I was incarcerated which helped. I made the first four steps but then was released and I started my court ordered counciling which included groups and individual counciling. If you knew me you would know I'm not good with change or new people. I've never felt more comfortable with the counselor s I was assigned to. They brought out all of the things I have never talked about before. They made me so comfortable and supported me like I have never known before. I would like to take this time to say thank you for all that you have done for me but unfortunately without you in my life I have relapsed once again but thank you for trying it was a good run when you all were in my life. I'm not proud of what I have done but thank all of you for doing what you do. I love you all and once again thank you. Thanks Mark Ps I miss you all

Love the staff here. They’ve been with my daughter since she was a newborn and have also been seeing my big kids for years. I love that we can take our entire family to one doctor’s office and make appointments in one day rather than several. We have way closer doctors offices, but I’ll make the drive to go here.

Shoutout to FSCAS for their big sister/brother program. Shelby has been so blessed with her match and I love to see her have a bond outside of the home. ❤️

My therapist is amazing. I have been to several other places and have not been able to find anyone who understands me, they always just want me to take medication and they just listen to what my family tells them. I am normal and I have normal feelings. I am not over sensitive or neurotic.

When I was in their Transitions program, I felt very comfortable with team and the schedule. Now I am in MPR and I am being taught positive ways to self regulate. I like that we meet weekly and focus on my goals. I am also receiving medication and it has basically changed my life. The staff is kind and respectful. They are easy to get along with and to communicate with.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Chris as my son Blakes therapist. From our very first session, I felt truly heard and understood as a parent who was lost and concerned. Chris has a remarkable ability to create a safe and non-judgmental space where I felt my son was able to comfortably experience and dxpress difficult emotions. Her insights were incredibly helpful, offering new perspectives and practical tools that have made a real difference in my sons life. Chris is empathetic, patient, and genuinely invested in her clients' well-being and able to overall help a client. I always left her sessions with my son seeing a true positive difference in him. 💕 Thank you Chris for putting my son on the path to greatness!!!

Been going here 15+ years. Well actually in cranberry 1st, then here at NC. In all that time, I've come to realize this: they don't need us. We need them. They have ALL the leverage, we have none. That being said, I would suggest getting down on your knees and thanking God that you have the option here in NC of Discovery House. Would u rather go back to criming, sick every other day.. Ugh. Not me. If u follow the rules, such as showing up during dosing hours,etc u will have no issues.

If your a veteran your care is top of the line, the nurses and Doctors care about you.I am adding to this post on Dec. 1 2025 my house was considered a total loss. I went to the VA. For assistance in this time of need. I am not service connected not disabled and they went above and beyond. 10 Stars.

The Butler VA center is probably the best one I have ever visited. Every doctor, secretary, and staff member I have interacted with was kind and professional.

Never had an issue any of the multiple times I've been in so far. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Very up to date and clean facility as well.

Great Clinic. I started at the New Castle Location when it was The Discovery House and then transferred to the Cranberry location when I moved, and then ended here at the Farrell location when I moved again back to Ohio. They accepted Ohio medicaid and I really didn't want to change clinics, so I stayed with Discovery House/Comprehensive Treatment Center. Each location was fantastic. By far my favorite clinics. Counselors and staff were 100% amazing and super caring, considerate and most importantly understanding and non judgemental. I really recommend this place.

I would definitely recommend giving this place a chance. It has helped me tremendously. It has truly saved my life.

I've been clean and doing great for years now! The staff there has always been kind and helpful. My counselor Mike is awesome! Everyone there is great!

My father’s building had exploded, and I was worried sick about him. He needs his medication daily, and I was desperate to find a way to help. The owner here is an amazing individual who stepped in to help my father in a time of great need. My father has nothing but good things to say about this place, and I’m so happy he’s able to take care of his health along side caring doctors, nurses, and therapists. ❤️

They are helping me more than most of the places I have been. Good to finally make progress. Only issue I am having is they never answer the phones. Always have to leave a message and they rarely call back.

Was court ordered there 1980 then to Erie, Pa for reentry. Jeannie Peak, Ken Smith, Bert, Steve Miller all shaped my life. Then its focus was a Therapeutic Community where residents confronted each other's behavior. Abraxas was awesome experience

was there Fall 77' - Spring 79' . Lived in Erie awhile. Worked at summer camp summer of 79'. Had Counselor by name of Phyllis A. !!! She was a Great deal of help to me !!! Hope & Pray God is till watching over her !!! jbm /

I was here for a year back in 2013 I think at the age of 17-18. I’m 28 now. Completed the program. Got my GED. shoutout to “BROTHER” the teacher. we called him. That man was amazing!! I think about this place all the time. It changed my life. You gotta want change. If not it will be hard for ya. I was a full blown drug addicted fool at 14. I didn’t know anything else so this was what I needed. I’m not sure how it is today but that’s how it was back then. Of course you had good & bad employees just like anywhere else. We got to go off grounds if you was on a good status level. Behavior wise. Did what was asked of you. I worked at a zoo with some pretty wild animals. Helped out in warehouses making cups. I got a check after I got home for working. Also went to the movies, out to eat, played games. Actually went to a steelers and Giants game in Pittsburgh. Still My 1 & only so far NFL game I ever went to was because of them. I went to church on Sunday. I went to elk county to see elk with the teacher Scott. That was awesome. Forreal. I had a lot of good times here & meet some pretty awesome people and learned a lot about myself. I thought about revisiting just to see who all is still there but judging these reviews. I doubt they are still there. I was in Dakota dorm. Shoutout to everyone who was there when I was. Some names still stick with me. My counselor. Brittany. You was the best 💯. Thank you!! You’re the real MVP. I hope you’re doing amazing… also Bill Cox. Jake. Josh. Creddy. Jen. 🤔 Kaylony? I can’t remember everyone but I will always remember them names. If you have kids here. Go visit them if you can. I didn’t get but 1 visit my whole year there. It sucks & makes time go by so slow. Be there for your kids. Give them that positive energy they need to boost them through this process. Write letters. Send pictures. They look forward to it every week. It was good to live with y’all for awhile. I hope everyone here can make something positive out of it and become something in life. Get away from the negativity in the streets. Chase your goals & dreams. This rehab was ok. What I liked most about it was they definitely taught me how I can have fun sober. We went for walks, bowling, church, fishing, got to see pigs, and meetings AA and NA, pottery, and the gym it was by far the best rehab I’ve ever been to!!! The staff really cares about your recovery. I am now 1month sober and counting! I feel awesome!!! Shoutout to my counselor Cami she was the absolute best!!! I would recommend this place for anyone trying to get sober. There are only 28 beds which is great! Cause then everyone has time to truly stay focused on their recovery and why they’re there. Thanks alpine for everything!

Best detox available in the western PA area. The nursing staff is top notch- Jeff will take great care of you. Shane will do whatever he can to help you. Comfortable beds, restaurant food, snacks at the ready, 24/7smoking outside. If you need help... Call them and they will pick you up! 💯

I was there at the end of 2017, and I've been clean and sober ever since. This place is great. They really care and respect their patients. They're great at taking you off-grounds for different things such as church, NA/AA meetings, walks if it's nice out, etc. The food is great, and there's always snacks to eat in between meals. My room felt more like a college dorm room than a room at a rehab, complete with its own private bathroom and shower. Definitely have all the good things to say about this place and am forever thankful for what they did for me.
