You should feel a vibe with your counselor and a trust which is hard to come by. I've found that vibe and trust with two counselors from regional counseling, one in Franklin named Nichole and one in oil city named Carrie. I've been blessed by having met them. Don't give up, you can change counselors if your not going to be honest with your current one. It's your life!! I like that we meet weekly and focus on my goals. I am also receiving medication and it has basically changed my life. The staff is kind and respectful. From our very first session, I felt truly heard and understood as a parent who was lost and concerned. Chris has a remarkable ability to create a safe and non-judgmental space where I felt my son was able to comfortably experience and dxpress difficult emotions. Her insights were incredibly helpful, offering new perspectives and practical tools that have made a real difference in my sons life. Chris is empathetic, patient, and genuinely invested in her clients' well-being and able to overall help a client. They were able to expedite my care with medication management and therapy / counseling. It is an adjustment as this was my first time at a treatment center but it was extremely helpful to me and saved my life. The groups are great for connecting with others and it really shows you are not alone. The staff was incredible they were so caring, patient, and supportive my entire time there. The doctors were wonderful and helpful. The food was absolutely AMAZING. They provided not only help with therapy and medications but provided a safe and structured environment for healing. I met some great people while there and i will never forget them or the staff who helped me out of the toughest time of my life. The only thing i did not care for was limited access to quiet places as it is very bright and noisy. They are very efficent, they will work with your schedule and they are genuine people. They are not a group that make you feel ashamed for your journey. They franklin office is very clean and organized, the staff are very nice and forthcoming. They arent trying to hide anything from you. I have had my fair share of office visits, phone calls and insurance problems with other agencies... I have had zero issues here. I would highly recommend crossroads to anybody that needed their help. I feel like they genuinely care about you, they don't force you to follow guidelines that dont make any sense to you and they don't push you uncomfortably. They are here for you and your progress on a timeline thats comfortable to you, not the other way around. 10 out of 10 would recommend. There are snacks and coffee and a place to stay. It is clean and there are pool tables and air hockey and other games and TV. They were very supportive got me through a lot of hard times I didn’t have the greatest upbringing, but the first time I fell in love With a boy, he was a resident there as well. I don’t have a whole Lotta great memories in my life, but I remember being there and I remember having somebody that I could talk to whether it was a staff member or staff member in the unit. The counselors used to sing a song and play guitar and it was such an amazing song and this day I remember that song, I remember going on activities and playing baseball and finally for the first time in my life having somebody that actually listen to me I would actually love to be able to get a hold of an employee there. His name is Glenn. It was always clean, the staff was kind and compassionate. My Uncle was comfortable and well cared for to his last day. He said the food was good and he really felt cared for. I had another DUI conviction and decided I needed help for my problem. I went to ccdaec before I had to by court it was the best thing I could have done for myself but ultimately went to jail and I saw a councilor while I was incarcerated which helped. I made the first four steps but then was released and I started my court ordered counciling which included groups and individual counciling. If you knew me you would know I'm not good with change or new people. I've never felt more comfortable with the counselor s I was assigned to. They brought out all of the things I have never talked about before. They made me so comfortable and supported me like I have never known before. I would like to take this time to say thank you for all that you have done for me but unfortunately without you in my life I have relapsed once again but thank you for trying it was a good run when you all were in my life. I had to go through a couple therapists to get to my current one, but she is an absolute godsend and I'm so incredibly thankful I was able to become her patient. Her name is Kristin, and she's absolutely fantastic. I always know I can reach out to her and get excellent advice. She actually took the time to work her way in through my incredibly thick walls I've built around myself, and put in the effort to actually understand me and how I work. She's never made me feel bad for anything, and knows how to push me to saying/doing what I need to. She's actually made me want to go to therapy.
