This place has always had my back at every level of care they have. 960, 920, Rogers, Niles, Newton Falls. Ever since I was a 19 year old kid struggling with addiction. Been going here 15+ years. Well actually in cranberry 1st, then here at NC. In all that time, I've come to realize this: they don't need us. We need them. They have ALL the leverage, we have none. That being said, I would suggest getting down on your knees and thanking God that you have the option here in NC of Discovery House. Would u rather go back to criming, sick every other day.. Ugh. Not me. If u follow the rules, such as showing up during dosing hours,etc u will have no issues.

From the secretary to the first appointment with my counselor, these people are very caring and compassionate mental health workers. My counselor even went over a bit on my time since she had the time and it was a lot the first session to get through. I also have a psychiatrist named Fabian, and compared to the psychiatrists I had before he is really good. He actually listens to me and is very understanding. He doesn't give me just any medicine. He takes his job seriously and I love that because I had doctor that didn't care about his job and prescribed me the wrong meds and refused to change it once I told him I don't feel like myself taking these medications.

My wife had a horrible experience at Monroeville Imaging. The MRI tech strapped her in, strapped headphones on her,
and blasted deafening music to the point where it caused an arrhythmia. She screamed for the tech to turn down the volume but he either wasn’t in the room or chose not to respond. By the time it was done she was shaking and dizzy with heart palpitations and ringing in her ears. I wouldn’t go there on a dare!

Stay away, it is a TRAP - I have searched everywhere for a place that provides a dual diagnostic evaluation for juvenile court cases. Since I don’t have health insurance, I went to a beautiful facility at Southwest General and paid $400 out of pocket. We completed an in-person meeting and a drug test, both of which I passed.
After submitting the results to the GAL and the court, the GAL said the report was a “bare-bones assessment” and ordered me to complete another dual diagnostic evaluation. I searched extensively again but couldn’t find any other places that offer dual diagnostics without insurance.
When I asked the GAL for guidance—since she rejected the first assessment—she referred me to New Visions Unlimited, Inc. There, I completed an online Zoom meeting where I was asked simple yes-or-no questions. During the session, I explained that I am under severe financial strain and currently caring for my father, who recently had brain surgery. Despite that, it felt like no matter what I said, they twisted my words and insisted that I needed counseling.
I strongly advise others to stay away from this place—it’s a complete trap. I have everything recorded, including instances where the evaluator lied in her report. The staff were also rude throughout the process. The office itself is locked, and there’s a hidden buzzer about six feet from the entrance. If you try to open the door before being buzzed in, the receptionist will make a scene. In my opinion, this place should be investigated or shut down.

The lady Jonane is very heartless just let me break it down my daughter just had a baby 3/17/24 so she was unavailable to attend class not only that she still with in her 6weeks of postpartum she kicked my daughter out the program because of that not to to mention my daughter baby is still on the hospital on a ventilator so can y’all make this make sense yes my daughter been clean for several months now but what this lady has done she ready to use again. She spent so much time and effort with me to reach a diagnosis, when I first showed up a year ago feeling upset and uncertain about everything. She is very patient, sympathetic, and reassuring. She’s great at listening to you and adapting to your concerns. She does a wonderful job at answering your questions and making sure you feel good about your treatment plan. She’s very welcoming, approachable, and available. She clearly is very knowledgeable and has well-thought-out Plan A’s, Plan B’s, (etc. as needed) so you can always stay hopeful. I just cannot say enough nice things about her. I’m so glad I found her.

I talked to an Emergency Services counselor named Caitlynn today. She was very kind, caring,and thorough. She worked VERY hard to try to help me. By her spending so much time with me,she got me to the point where I was able to calm down a little more, and avoid having to go to the hospital,because I "Hate" hospitals.And, now, later in the day, I've been able to calm down even more to where I dont feel like I'm "Crisis" mode now,&it feels easier now to wait to see my provider on 12/6/2023. I was a patient there for a year and I didn't feel comfortable with anyone that worked there. The office staff is extremely rude and treat you like your a lower form if life. Not professional at all! I met someone here who needed some help. It is great this place is open on cold nights all night after 9pm and through much of the day. There are snacks and coffee and a place to stay. This rehab was ok. What I liked most about it was they definitely taught me how I can have fun sober. We went for walks, bowling, church, fishing, got to see pigs, and meetings AA and NA, pottery, and the gym it was by far the best rehab I’ve ever been to!!! The staff really cares about your recovery. I am now 1month sober and counting! I feel awesome!!! Shoutout to my counselor Cami she was the absolute best!!! I would recommend this place for anyone trying to get sober. There are only 28 beds which is great! Cause then everyone has time to truly stay focused on their recovery and why they’re there. Thanks alpine for everything!

Best detox available in the western PA area. The nursing staff is top notch- Jeff will take great care of you. Shane will do whatever he can to help you. Comfortable beds, restaurant food, snacks at the ready, 24/7smoking outside. If you need help... Call them and they will pick you up! 💯

I was there at the end of 2017, and I've been clean and sober ever since. This place is great. They really care and respect their patients. They're great at taking you off-grounds for different things such as church, NA/AA meetings, walks if it's nice out, etc. The food is great, and there's always snacks to eat in between meals. My room felt more like a college dorm room than a room at a rehab, complete with its own private bathroom and shower. Definitely have all the good things to say about this place and am forever thankful for what they did for me.

Got to the E. D. around 6:45. We were promptly checked in and only waited 15 min before being sent to triage. Immediately put into a bed and the nurse came in less than 5 min later to start an IV and draw blood. Dr. Nicholson was very prompt to examine my husband. Immediately after that chest X-ray, ECG were performed. Meds loaded and breathing treatment given all before 8:20. The E. D. was very busy and they were short staffed with nurses but you would never know by how smoothly everything went. We couldn't be more pleased with the efficiency and thoroughness of our visit!

Went in for a broken wrist. Staff and nurses were good to me. XRAY personnel were very quick getting pictures. Wrapped me in a temporary split, all they could do and referral to a surgeon was given.
