Mike Brown has proven to be more than just a supporter. Moreover, when I discovered I was pregnant, I reached out to Mike, and he swiftly arranged for me to move into one of his finest sober living houses within a few hours. His dedication to my well-being is a testament to his genuinely admirable character.
Furthermore, Mike's wife (whom I haven’t met) shares his passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere in the sober living houses. I was in Acqua October 2024 and the staff was amazing. They listened to what the clients had to say. The one thing Acqua offered that not a lot of the other places did is dual diagnosis. Not only do they treat addiction but the helped me get on meds that worked for me. I loved that I didnt get the 12 steps shoved down my throat. I liked my counselors and the staff helped me get everything lined out to go home in another state. I'm been sober for 9 months now.

Pinnacle Recover is amazing. All of the staff go over the top to meet your expectations. The program gives you everything you need to achieve your goals and gives you all the tools you need to help you in recovery. The food is outstanding, Chef Ed is so compassionate about his cooking. I've never had a well balanced diet as good as it was at Pinnacle. The activities you get to enjoy are so much fun. Sober softball, hiking, bowling, batting cages, ice baths, open mic night are some of my favorites. The facility is more than adequate, its an amazing house that is filled with comfort. Overall, Pinnacle has changed my life in so many positive ways. I feel as if my life is starting over and I get the opportunity to be happy again. Shout out to Katie my therapist for all the help and knowledge she has given me. I'm ready to go out into the world and face all the challenges it brings head on.

I truly owe my life to Chateau! I have been to Chateau twice after severely struggling and ended up spending almost three months total there. I was very anxious not being a first responder or veteran and much younger than many of those there. The second I walked through the front door, I felt safe. Clients and staff didn’t not care that I was neither of those things.
Through the help of Chateau, I found the motivation and will to stay alive and sober. I started to discover my authentic self and be happy with who I was. Chateau helped me in so many ways and will never be able to express the amount of gratitude I have for the facility, staff and clients.
They are accommodating to all needs and are truly there to help you become better.

The staff here understand the unique burdens first responders carry, and they show up every single day with heart, integrity, and a deep commitment to healing.
They don’t treat you like a number or a case file. They treat you like a human! The clinicians are trauma-informed and deeply compassionate. First step gave me my sobriety and I cannot put a price on that. I am at the 411 house... One month left to go. I cannot stress enough how much life has changed. I am now clean and free from addiction. They set you up with dental assistance, an optometrist, as well as safe housing transitions. Thank you to the staff!!! I love this VA hospital and their staff. Sure, the facility is showing it's age and scheduling can be frustrating. Don't blame the hospital or it's staff. The current administration froze hiring and most areas are under staffed. The only thing wrong with the VA is funding. Be an advocate. Get involved. Write our congressional delegation.

I've been receiving care at the VA and also at the University of Utah medical center for the last 20 years. Both facilities provide excellent service, and with Dr training programs at the U that have rotations at the VA veterans get exposure to the world class research going on. There are two areas that the VA actually excels at and exceeds the U: Mental Health and Whole Health/ Mindfulness departments offer help for veterans that cannot be found across the street. Veterans are given the tools that promote wellness and prevention of illness.
The notion from years past that the VA was a place to be avoided needs to be dispelled.

This program by far is the best Rehab facility in the country. My life was changed after being there for 56 days. The professional staff, attention to detail, intense therapy, and process groups all helped in my transformation on my road in recovery. The staff was very welcoming and provided me with great details about their program as they showed me around the buildings, explaining what they could offer to the adolescents they work with. I went to Brunswick exhausted, malnourished, and on the brink of a nervous breakdown. My marriage was ending because of Infedelity and I started drinking heavily. They made me feel safe, gave me a place to improve my health, Therapist that I could talk with and taught me skills to use when I was feeling overwhelmed in life. My nephew came to Recovery Ways and it was the first program that really worked for him, after two years of trying four other programs. He came out of this program a different, new person, his best self. What made RW different? The type of program--
1) Intensive therapy and classes with real learning, my nephew is super smart so he's hard to impress, he criticizes everything, but he was quoting the lesson & tools he learned here.
2) The staff was always present, available, created a strong sense of support along with the peer support group which was healing for my nephew, he finally felt he belonged somewhere.
3) Pragmatic, realistic program located in the city with daily visits to sites, bookstore, gym, aquarium. Patients learn sobriety in the midst of real life and daily activity in town, rather than being isolated then return to real life, they're accustomed to living sober.
4) Focus on mental health at Copper Hills was exactly what my nephew needed. They gave him exactly the tools that worked for him.
5) RW is unique, it includes both RT residential therapy and PHP partial hospitalization, all in patient, and covered by insurance, so no rent, you get room and food. So it's a 2 month min. program or longer.
6) Staff is amazing, very competent, on top of details, needs, circumstances, concerns. Matt and John were a godsend, every day, they went the extra mile, counselled with me on all needs, gave excellent advice and referrals to help me solve all my nephew's needs and navigate insurance, then transfer to sober living.
I can't praise RW enough, I thank God we found this place, I doubt any other place would have done what RW did for my nephew. It gave him a new self and life.

The Pathways inpatient facility gave me more than physical safety and care—it gave me something I had never truly known before: true emotional safety. The entire staff worked together to help me grow in the three areas of life that must be engaged—mind, body, and spirit. I walked in carrying a heavy prejudice against all men, but it was three men in particular who ended up aiding me the most, showing me that at our core, we really are all just human.
My main therapist, Daryl, guided me through reshaping my mindset and digging into my past to uncover my deepest wounds. He stood by me on one of the most emotionally painful days of my life, and I will never forget Destiny—one of the incredible nurses—literally running after him as he was about to head home, just so he could be there for me in that moment.
Dr. Sellers provided me with the best medical care I could have asked for. He never rushed through visits, always taking the time to explain not just what he was doing, but why—making sure I understood and felt safe with my treatment. I also want to thank Dawn, a powerhouse nurse who believed in my strength even when I couldn’t see it myself, and who pushed me to rise to the challenge.
Michael Ryan gave me the gift of faith and clarity in my higher power. He challenged me in ways I desperately needed, helping me confront the destructive core beliefs that caused me so much suffering and turn them upside down. He gave me the tools to question my own thoughts, and to approach them with both curiosity and compassion. Somehow, even in the middle of facing the hardest truths, he still managed to make me laugh and feel safe. I would also like to thank Lonnie, whose powerful meditation sessions left a deep impact on me. His encouragement meant so much because it came from a place of such authenticity.

There are many wonderful organizations and people in service to helping others with treatment and recovery. For me, the right fit was, is, and will continue to be Pathways. These folks are authentic in their desire to help change lives. They are some of the most remarkable humans I have been blessed with coming across in life.
They are talented and skilled, and well equipped to meet mental health and substance abuse needs. They are particularly experienced with integrating well-rounded trauma focused treatment, using a variety of evidence based treatment modalities.
Pathways staff AND clients create a safe space of healing and growth, and a place of acceptance and belonging, and without judgement. As a pathways client, I feel a sense of unity, community, and unyielding support.

It was such a pleasant experience. I really enjoyed all of the therapy, education, recreation therapy and meetings that we went through. I thought that staff was exceptional and helpful. Everyone was so eager to pursue the success of this journey that I experienced at Annie's House. I am so grateful! I learned how to love myself in such a way that I haven't since maybe I was a young child. I feel so liberated and free! I have a connection with my higher power and that is all because of you guys!! I've been going here almost a month and so far so good not any problem other then I have a service dog and she has all paperwork only thing that's hard sometimes is where everyone just brings there dog to the clinic that's not a service animal going in building sometimes makes things difficult cause other animals aren't trained and that makes things hard for me and my service dog... If they could just fix that problem the place would be great in my book.

Wasatch is worth every cent because of Todd he told me that I was recovered the day I stopped using drugs. He is one of the greatest minds the Recovery community has. I am writing this from a hyperbaric and still sober. I didn't stay the whole time but I got what I needed. As a veteran in the opiate epidemic and a 20+ time rehab connoisseur. I can say Todd one talk with him brought more healing and more recovery than hundreds of meetings, doing the 12 steps and thousand hours of treatment groups. Find your people. Be of service. Give back. Heal your body. Up north there's a hyperbaric and wellness in ogden ran by a beautiful women named Mel who is also phenomenal human. If you go there try the tesla coil. It is a phenomenal for balacing your energy. I truly believe addicts are healers and if we can conquer our addiction we can light . Anyways thanks for coming to my ted talk

Wasatch was my first treatment center. Some of the staff that are not as versed in mental health have a very dangerous and possibly harmful way of “treating” clients. That being said most of the staff really cares and went above and beyond for me. Dekard and Dee stand out the most their positive and encouraging attitudes inspired me and pushed me to keep going. I can credit them for how far I’ve come (90 days). Like any place Wasatch has its short comings but all in all if you’re struggling with addiction it’s a great option 🖤

When you are serious about recovery come to Deer Hollow. It will not be easy, but it will be worth it. I am a Paramedic that came up in the time of “stuff those emotions down”, I’m here to tell you that does not work. They come back with a vengeance and hopefully you don’t take your own life before you get help. Give Deer Hollow a chance, The staff is top notch and they have been through similar stuff and achieved Victory. You will be with peers going through the same stuff, no matter what their background we are more alike than different. I thank the people of Deer Hollow for saving my life. DH very well may have saved my life! I had never been to anything like this before and had never been to a therapist, so I went in with no prior experience of what to expect. Not my first rodeo. I have been through a few rehabilitation programs with several local treatment centers in Salt Lake City. Recovery Ways at Brunswick was equipped with staff that has experience and multiple tools to assist in the recovery process. The step down progression and support is second to none. I have memories and friends from my short time that I will carry for a lifetime. I am sober today in part because of the staff and resources I was gifted on my day of surrender. Highly recommended and even though the commitment seems daunting, the experience will enhance your life skills and provide ample suggestions to assist in a fight for life outside addiction.

I first attended Mountainside from April to May 2024 and was stabilized there before attending outpatient (I left a review for Mountainside well).
To put it simply, Deer Hollow saved my life, without question. Alec was my therapist and he was incredible to work with. He introduced me to ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) and that was where I got the most relief from my PTSD symptoms. While the symptoms never completely went away and simply backed off a little bit, it was enough to where I could actually function without being overrun by them.
I was challenged by Alec and other therapists when they'd be running group but I was never pushed beyond my boundaries. PHP/IOP is generally a 6 week program but I ended up staying in outpatient from May to September 2024 (with a three week break to go home in the summer) by my own choice as I knew by the six week mark that I wasn't ready to leave yet. I checked in with myself and my therapist regularly about this. I advocated for myself and stayed until I knew I was ready to graduate. I highly recommend doing this as some people think they can only stay for the 6 weeks and that's it. If you feel you need longer than that, speak up for yourself and speak to your therapist and Lisa about it (Lisa is amazing and fantastic, by the way).
Long story short: This place is amazing and saved my life. I'm so glad that I gave them a chance and I'm so grateful for the help they gave me.
