Had to do a court ordered assessment and I decided to go through Lakeside Milam in Puyallup, Deena Dole helped me with the process of getting me checked in, running me through the paperwork, and she even was the one who did my assessment! She was very helpful, very thorough, walked me through everything that was needed, and answered everything questions that I had. 10 out of 10, if you need to do a drug or alcohol assessment whether it’s court ordered or for your own reasons, I recommend Puyallup!

Olalla was a life changing experience and gave me the tools I needed to get and stay sober. Kevin, my counselor, is an amazing and compassionate person who guided me through the recovery process. The Olalla staff are kind and patient and were always willing to give me the help I absolutely needed. The treatment center is located on was a hilltop forest overlooking Puget Sound, which is incredibly beautiful and the perfect environment for recovery. Walking the trail surrounding the property every morning was awesome. The food is wonderful and there is lots of it. I would recommend this treatment center to anyone who is serious about getting sober!!

I was at Ollala back in March of 2024 for a 28 days inpatient stay. It was the best decision of my life., and credit this experience and all I learned about addiction and myself for my continued sobriety today.The entire experience here at Ollala was incredible. The staff and counselors are so accepting and compassionate, they truly make you feel important. I would recommend Ollala Recovery Centers to anyone!!

My time at Royal Life Sumner was a great experience overall. The building is a little run down (showers temp fluctuate, creaky loud floors) and they seem to run short on supplies (cups, snacks, etc) a bit too frequently. But the staff far and away redeems this place in my eyes. They were by and large extraordinary, truly. A couple of them left a wonderful impression on my heart that will last a very long time. Occasionally, a few staff members can be a pissy toward you should you choose to sit out a meeting, legitimate reasons or not. This approach really bothers me. Their heart is in the right place, but c’mon- with the staff being mostly addicts in recovery they should know better, in my opinion. You can’t force recovery on someone. Progress rather than perfection right? From what I’ve gathered about the principles of recovery, you should greet newcomers with open arms and free of judgement lest you ward them off. Makes you wonder if these certain peeps understand the basic principles they claim to stand behind. Counterproductive. Anyways, I’ve beat that horse into the ground. that was only a handful of them though, overall the vast majority of the staff members were extraordinary. They offered valuable insight, joke around, and help guide you to the best of their ability, the heart to heart private talks with a few of them left an impression on me that will last a long long time. I was touched by their kindness. Recommended.

My expirence is i had a great time! Every staff is amazing and kind i would recommend this program to anyone and everyone including my own family. I loved the groups and how the facilitators made it easy for me to understand and apply it to my life. The things people said are going to help me make a lasting change in my life.

Honestly I was nervous just to do detox because I thought I'd be locked down in a room but they have games and activities like tai chi, yoga, going to the gym and the food is great! I eat 3 meals a day and get these golden opportunities to have more life into me instead of me thinking to use. I was going to stay for 7 days but im doing 21! Then going to another 12 week program to better my living situation and start fresh with other people that you spend time with!

Been with Dr. Talbot since age 5 I am 51 years old today. This clinic has helped me through my toughest times. So many options of support at any range of health care. Few of my relatives would say the same. Very grateful to this clinic as they don't treat you like cattle or a number.

Are you happy there? Just shut out another perspective patient and maybe that will give you some relief, and ease your day. I don't like one bit the way I was completely avoided for several years, when it came to my deteriorating neck. Now, more nerve pain and instability. Is there at least any kind of moral justification the Puget sound VA health care system follows so a person can get the care they need? I dare that Dr Ann Smith and her "chief of staff" at American Lake to cross my path. Disgusting. DAVID WAYNE ALTESE

The Seattle VA saved my 80 year old Dad a Vietnam Vet's life! The care he received was amazing! His doctors and nurses are awesome! And his case managers and support staff helped him get everything he needed to get him home! He is doing great and we owe it to all staff at the Seattle VA!! Thank you for saving my Dad! ❤️

Friendly staff, caring doctor, and a safe and clean clinic. Staff turnover with counselors is rough however. I've been here since they opened and would recommend to anyone needing MAT support.

I have been going to the Kent Comprehensive treatment Center for a little over a year now. I did have a small break after only being a client for 3 months or so. But came back because I was ready to use the program for what its intended for. I've made some friends at the clinic. I credit the in person art group for helping me rediscover my love for coloring/drawing. The staff are always super friendly. And the counselors are all here for us when we need the help. If you've contemplated going to a methadone clinic, I will always recommend doing it. Cause it saved my life as well as my girlfriends. And I will always be grateful for that

Im on my second week this week and I truly love it the two girls in reception are total sweethearts and my counselor Amy i knew her 5 seconds before I knew I was in good hands I instantly felt comfortable and that I could tell her anything and I new she actually cares and isn't there just for a paycheck ! And idk why I didn't listen to people sooner about getting on the program it's working and I'm slowly but surely getting better

I was a resident here. Changed my life. Have till 9/21/2026 for my year sober. I plan on going back to offer my services if they are looking for any workers once i have my year. Staff was very polite and respectful. Made sure I had everything I wanted with in reason of their boundaries and rules. Food was spectacular. And they offer a snack bar 24/7. had coffee first thing in the morning every morning. Get TV with YouTube available in rooms. And they set you up when you go home. If you go home. 12 week program is also offered afterwards. Also another great addition to this amazing facilities. Thank you for changing my life. D. MOSES

I am so sad writing this I absolutely have had the best experience here I’ve always felt heard, I’ve always had a great experience till today I have never missed anything I was supposed to do and today I drove another 120 miles after going yesterday for a dose evaluation I am required a yearly ekg already done but the new guy decided he wanted another ekg I do it as always my anxiety messes it up, after being there 3 hours I’m now stuck in traffic for 3 hours as the freeway is shut down I just feel helpless and I have came so far this feeling is devastating 6 hours and I’m still 2 hours from home, but Colina and Chantel at reception are rockstars they go above and beyond for every client, Jamie is such a caring supportive counselor, the front staff are funny and helpful, Courtney has always treated me well as a client and person, the UA staff are always nice and respectful all in all I really don’t want to change clinics I just don’t ever want to feel so helpless again

The counselors, the receptionist team, the nurses, The bodyguards everybody that works within this clinic is exceptional. family oriented friendly people. if you have a question, they're there to answer it and they will. they will treat you the same as them. everybody that goes in that clinic are the same people because we are all addicts. we are all addicts looking for help. you do need a very close support person during this transitioning someone who is on the outside of this clinic who you are with all the time and will lift you up and guide you and give you the the helping hand that you need during this time. so like if you're having help with your addiction going through this clinic and you fall and you think you're going to do drugs again, get that person that's close to you that you can trust that's going to tell you call your counselor. that's what they're there for. you can go through steps. throw this Cal clinic and you can get gift cards, gas cards, rewards different things like that for doing good through this clinic. so it's not like you're going there and you're not rewarding yourself. you are very much rewarding yourself through different ways through the clothing bank, the food bank everything even you can make new friends going through this clinic. they're just such wonderful, great people that work in this clinic and I would send my closest anybody who needs help to go there

I’ve been to pretty much every methadone clinic in Pierce County, and most of them are frustrating. It takes forever to get dose increases, and some require an EKG every 20 mg, which just slows everything down and makes the process miserable. This place is completely different—hands down the best clinic I’ve been to. They allow dose increases of up to 20 mg per day if needed, and the intake process only took about an hour. Yes, you do have to go in daily at first (about 13 days), but it’s straightforward and worth it. After about a month, I was already eligible for weekly take-homes, which was way easier than I expected. I’m already up to 160 mg, and the whole process has been smooth and supportive. Best clinic in Washington, no question. Highly recommend.

Help me thru the whole processs thanku so much

It's been almost two years since I have graduated from here. March 2024. At first I fought the system, just like almost everyone who starts out here. But give it a shot. They care IMMENSELY about you. They want you to succeed and give you every tool to. You do have to do it yourself, but you don't have to do it alone. They help you and teach you how to take accountablity for yourself, they tell you when you mess up, then they then you how you can fix it. They give you everything you need to be successful, you just have to be ready for it. If you are ready to take control of your life back, learn how to be successful, kick those debilitating habits, come here where they love you, teach with compassion and show you how to love yourself. 10/10. Thank you for being there for me. I'm pursuing my dreams now. Sam.

Regardless of the reason for counseling this place is one of the top ones for help. No one is perfect and this place is no exception but they genuinely care, are not judgemental and want the best for their clients.

The staff was great! My counselor was extremely knowledgeable and truly wanted to make an impact on those who walked through her door. I learned a lot and it helped me better myself as a human being. If you’re seeking to improve upon yourself and willing to change you will definitely get the help you need here.

As an attorney, I highly recommend Kenny and his team. If you are in a difficult situation with dark clouds overhead, let Al'ta be your silver lining.

Handling this process while having a full-time job feels impossible, but this place has been extremely accommodating!

Alta in my opinion is one of the best places to do your treatment.
