The practice of this establishment is entirely unethical. Even more so, their billing department is unkempt and disorganized, to say the least. The comments and reviews that succinct to "all they want is money" are 100% correct, and I feel for those who have been affected by this "Counseling Service". I was 17 years old when I was court ordered to attend Serenity Point and attending the service through my insurance program. I am now 29 years old. I've been fighting them for 13 years due to a statement that shows I owe over $1,000. As a 17 year old, this seems highly unethical. At the time, I was underage and again, attended through my insurance program. I've been down to the office and I've spoken with their billing department and they quite literally do not have record of my attendance nor did they have record of billing on my behalf. However because it was turned into the credit bureau I now have to pay it regardless, which is fine. I can do that. But this is just a warning to whoever is seeking to attend Serenity Point. If this is court ordered, I would suggest to your attorney and/or probation officer to attend a counseling service elsewhere. If this is for personal recovery, please, please, please go elsewhere. To say I am absolutely disgusted by the owners and employee's of this service would be an understatement. They do and will not "provide high-quality behavioral health care to the Walla Walla Community". The fact that they are family owned? Speechless. I hope this review can help someone in the future.

I just completed the MRT program they offer called Staying Quit. Before that, i was in the other level 1.0 continuing care program, and before that, i completed the level 2.1 intensive outpatient. I entered these programs after completing a long-term residential program in Spokane at Isabella House.
Participating in these programs, in addition to doing individual sessions with my counselor there at least once a month, giving UAs when asked, doing weekly mental health therapy sessions with another provider, participating in 12 step meetings, getting a sponsor, and working steps has turned my life around 180°.
I'm a firm believer that there is no one solution cure all for addiction. However, i also believe that everyone needs to figure out for themselves what works for them and what doesn't. For me, I had to fully engulf my life in recovery mainly due to knowing just how sick I truly was.
Not every day is perfect. Some days just outright suck. But Serenity Point Counseling Services has helped ensure that I have the tools and support systems in place that I need to be successful in my recovery.
I feel that the counselors actually listen to their clients needs and work with their clients to form individual service plans that target problem areas in their lives in order to keep progressing in recovery and ensure continued success even after discharge from the program.
I was a client many years ago, and for anyone who has a preconceived notion of it not being an effective program from years past, i can tell you right now, this is not the same as it was then. So, for anyone struggling with their addiction, even if you're unsure if you need or even WANT help, reach out to them. What do you have to lose?

So far not very impressed with them. We have been waiting patiently for them to find a home for us and they continue to cancel our appointments at least every other week. It just seems like a pattern and they don't seem to care. I understand people get sick but not every other week. They obviously should revamp on their staff if that's the case. Unbelievable.

So this was the only treatment center I have ever attended so I don't have much to compare it to but most of my issues I had with the program where not so much because of the program itself but my own bitterness towards it. Now having said that the building was definitely in need of some TLC and it was obvious that budget was going more towards the staff and counselors than the treatment center itself.
Outdoor activities where on par for an elementary school not so much for grown men who want more than a volley ball court and a broken basketball hoop but hey it's not a retreat. The lecture hall was my personal favorite place in the whole building. Saturdays all the clients would get together and we'd watch movies on a giant projector screen and if you're a quiet person like me who likes to keep to themselves it's usually pretty empty in there after lunch till it's time for lights out.
This place had 2 amazing counselors whose names I can't remember. My counselor was Viki and she was a delight but I must say she's better as a friend than a counselor. Now as far as the counselor that drives the Tesla he's a real a-hole and the fact he's aloud to be a counselor of any sort blows my mind. But you gotta remember it's not up to the counselors to work your recovery and that's something I had to learn months after I left blaming them for my failed sobriety when really it was me not working my steps.
The freaking food tho was so good every meal. Like I'd happily relapse just to go back for that lol. But seriously your recovery is on you and you are worth it. This place has its flaws but if you focus on yourself and your well being its a great place to take a step back and take a deep breathe. JOTC truly set me on a path of recovery. I just had to get over my bitterness and work my steps.
Don't be discouraged recovery isn't easy but your life is something worth doing it for and I love you and I'm glad your taking a step towards the greatness you deserve.

Yakima, WA | Comprehensive Healthcare - 505 South 4th Avenue in Yakima, Washington, is a 16 bed residential facility that offers various mental health and addiction recovery services. This Crisis Triage Center is licensed as a nonmedical withdrawal management and residential treatment facility. They can provide mental health crisis stabilization if you’re exp | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I am a heartbroken parent whose severely mentally ill son has been failed by the mental health system — most notably by Eastern State Hospital and Bridges Mental Health Facility in Washington State.
Eastern State Hospital released my son — who suffers from a serious psychiatric illness — into a motel room in Ellensburg with nothing but a bag full of his psychiatric medications. Just days later, he attempted to take his own life using the very medications the hospital gave him, and nearly succeeded. He was found and rushed to the ICU in critical condition. This tragic event was entirely preventable and highlights a serious lack of care and oversight.
After stabilizing in the ICU, he was sent to Bridges in Yakima for six weeks. Unfortunately, the same pattern repeated. He was discharged to Royal Halfway House in the Tri-Cities, and within just two hours of arriving, he escaped. He was missing for an entire month — with no clear plan in place for his supervision or safety.
Eventually, we learned he had somehow made it to Walla Walla, where he has now been arrested three separate times, including once for indecent exposure. I still have no idea how he even got there. He is clearly not well and continues to cycle through crises, while the very institutions meant to protect and treat him have repeatedly released him into unstable and unsafe situations.
Both Eastern State Hospital and Bridges Mental Health Facility must be held accountable for these deeply irresponsible decisions. Releasing a severely mentally ill individual with a bag of powerful medications, no real safety net, and no long-term support is not treatment — it’s abandonment.
If you are a loved one of someone with serious mental illness, please know: this system is broken, and those we trust to care for our most vulnerable often fail them.
