There's too many reasons to list why. Also I'd like to add that most likely anyone leaving a bad review either was kicked out for fraternizing with the opposite gender, or they were caught using and elected to leave, most likely out of embarrassment. It's amazing at every decent rehab there will always be a dramatic difference between a review left by someone serious about changing their life and those who may e just aren't ready yet. If you're ready to have a life worth living and want the absolute best chance at living up to your full potential, then there's a couple things to consider: 1. Be honest and show up with the intention to get all you can from this experience. 2. Consider that you may not know what you need and most likely they do so be willing to take suggestion. 3. The staff and the owners at FBTS are the most caring and invested people I've ever encountered at a rehab facility. Also, the counselors and techs aren't there because they are making all kinds of money. These people will laugh with you, cry with you, and will be your biggest fan throughout your program. 4. The location is good, the facility is good, the food is good, the services are good, but the staff and the overall experience are the absolute best at what they do and the owners somehow managed to get them all in the same place. It was my first time doing inpatient rehab and thankfully was my only time. I stayed for around 3 and half months enough time to know I was done with heroin for the foreseeable future. In December it will be 9 years since I used heroin. I was only there a week and 3 days and left and flew back home to cali. There is a really good male psychiatrist there who actually I met with a few days before I left, I can not recall his name but with his insight he really helped me figure out the things causing me to self medicate. Sometimes a little laid back but overall I believe my life was saved there by following treatment plan developed for me. Everyone was so very nice, very direct & honestly showing concern. They also taught him tools to sub-due triggers that make him turn to alcohol. They kept us in the loop every week to his progress with updates and information for when he was released, for him to continue his journey of sobriety. They got him on the medications he's needed to maintain his mental heath problems as well, that also contribute to his addiction. I've been to more residential treatment centers then I care to admit, so I'm speaking from an overwhelming amount of experience when I say that this is the best treatment center I have ever been to. There's too many reasons to list why. Also I'd like to add that most likely anyone leaving a bad review either was kicked out for fraternizing with the opposite gender, or they were caught using and elected to leave, most likely out of embarrassment. It's amazing at every decent rehab there will always be a dramatic difference between a review left by someone serious about changing their life and those who may e just aren't ready yet. If you're ready to have a life worth living and want the absolute best chance at living up to your full potential, then there's a couple things to consider: 1. Be honest and show up with the intention to get all you can from this experience. 2. Consider that you may not know what you need and most likely they do so be willing to take suggestion. 3. The staff and the owners at FBTS are the most caring and invested people I've ever encountered at a rehab facility. Also, the counselors and techs aren't there because they are making all kinds of money. These people will laugh with you, cry with you, and will be your biggest fan throughout your program. 4. The location is good, the facility is good, the food is good, the services are good, but the staff and the overall experience are the absolute best at what they do and the owners somehow managed to get them all in the same place. Addiction is hard but this place definitely makes it easier to not have to suffer from it.

This place saved my life. I had been to multiple treatment programs before- trying to get sober since 2010 and nothing stuck. When I finally was referred to Discover, Dru personally spent over an hour on the phone with me. I will never forget that conversation and how at just the right breakthrough moment, he simply asked, "how soon can you be ready?". a couple hours later, had someone waiting to pick me up from Portland and personally transport me to the facility in Long Beach. That level of care and urgency made all the difference and almost six years later, I'm still sober because of it. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone who is ready to make a serious change.

I went to KLEAN almost ten years ago now. It was my first time doing inpatient rehab and thankfully was my only time. I stayed for around 3 and half months enough time to know I was done with heroin for the foreseeable future. They helped me get into postive routines and kept them up for a year after rehab. Things like going to meetings often and getting a sponsor things like that. In December it will be 9 years since I used heroin. I did all the work my self and if I wasnt ready I wouldnt have stoped but I can say for sure the counselors and staff helped me start my journey to being free from dope

I personally had no issues, but there was tons of drama there and it was very stressful on me personally. I was only there a week and 3 days and left and flew back home to cali. There is a really good male psychiatrist there who actually I met with a few days before I left, I can not recall his name but with his insight he really helped me figure out the things causing me to self medicate. I ended up getting clean on my own and have been clean now for 11 months almost a year!

I was impressed with the care of the staff & how each client was treated as an individual. Sometimes a little laid back but overall I believe my life was saved there by following treatment plan developed for me. Everyone was so very nice, very direct & honestly showing concern. The food was Fantastic & kitchen staff very flexible. I learned much during my 30 days of treatment & use the knowledge daily to guide me in my one day at a time sober way of living. I am very pleased & all my family say it was money well soent.

The staff at Awakenings are the most caring, selfless, understanding people on the planet. Michelle is a godsend and worked so hard to get my sister the treatment she needed. She was in a dark place and is a very stubborn individual and coupled with alcohol addiction- she was a difficult patient to say the least. Michelle talked our family through all the steps to success and was there for us in every moment. I can not express the appreciation and gratitude I have for her. It is beyond words. She is the only person through our search to get her help that truly cared to see her succeed. She never gave up, even when Awakenings was not the best fit. Awakenings By The Sea is exactly where I needed to be to be able to grasp the concept of true sobriety. From the minute I walked through the doors it was evident to me that this was a place that served those suffering from addiction. The staff are truly dedicated and I believe "called" to spread the message and help to others. The work was hard but sharing it with other women and recognizing their honesty, strength and willingness made it possible for me to do the work and do it with complete honesty. The AA meeting every morning at the Little Yellow House, Von and Shannon's delicious meals, the beach walks, gym time, bowling and movie time----were just what was needed to help in the beginning of healing. Jean who kept our home so clean and tidy and her wonderful sense of humor and stories.The counselors, nurses, admin., etc. are dedicated to each and every woman who comes through the doors. I am forever grateful for the gift of being able to walk through the doors and be a part of this blessed place. I look forward to seeing my Awakening Sisters in the future. I have been given the tools and healing time I was desperately in need of and I cannot thank them enough.

Bing coming here since I moved to aberdeen in 2023. I have a lot of health issues, but a lot of doctors over the years just blew me off. The nurse practitioners here have gone out of their way to get me referrals, and testing and treatment to help make my life better and be in less pain. None of my doctors before would put me on anything for menopause and i'm finally on some hormones now, and feeling a 1000% better. I'm really happy that I finally have some clinicians that care and want to help me. After 30 years of getting the run around. Im finally feeling seen and heard.

Hadn't been their for many years since I now live in Ohio, went back last summer and visited. It is a place where miracles happen. I went there in 1992 in a last ditch effort to sober up. I haven't had a drink since. AA and the people I met there saved me from myself and I will be forever grateful. Most of the people I knew and who helped me through such a difficult time are gone and passed away and their names were painted on the walls. Most of the people there now do not remember these people, so I really appreciated that they had honored them so. Tree House Recovery PDX saved my life. I hit a new rock bottom during the holidays. I was reluctant to going to a typical, 30-day, institutional rehab center like I did over the summer because that didn't work. But then I saw that Tree House was a three month program with a focus in physical exercise, writing, and learning to work as a team. My expectations weren't met -- they were exceeded. I recently graduated on April 3rd and am a better man now than I was before I started using and drinking. I've learned how to be empathetic, hold myself and others accountable, find gratitude in my daily life, lean on my teammates during times of struggle, and how to celebrate little and big wins in my life with healthy pride. The staff is amazing too. Rob, Nevin, Doug, Bryan and Kevin are all great men who are now role models in my life. My experience at Recovery Village has truly been life-changing, and I will forever be grateful for the people who made such a huge impact on my recovery. Hannah is an incredible group facilitator. She has a way of making every group meaningful, engaging, and something I genuinely looked forward to. She is compassionate, understanding, funny, and truly cares about the people she works with. You can tell that she puts her whole heart into what she does, and she has made a lasting impact on me. Allison, my one-on-one therapist, was absolutely amazing and life-changing. She created a space where I felt safe enough to be completely honest, even when it was uncomfortable. She helped me work through things I had been carrying for a long time and gave me tools and perspectives that I will continue to use long after leaving treatment. I am incredibly grateful I had her as my therapist. I also want to recognize Jay, Lindsey, Randi, Kathy, and Jared, who are all incredible BHTs. They consistently went above and beyond for us. Whether it was listening when we needed someone, helping us through difficult moments, making us laugh when we needed it, or simply being there day after day, they made a huge difference in my experience. Their patience, compassion, and dedication did not go unnoticed. And a huge thank you to Angie, Toni, Whitney, and Dale, who are absolutely amazing nurses. They were compassionate, attentive, patient, and always willing to help. They made me feel cared for and supported throughout my time there. Recovery is not easy, but having the right people around you can make all the difference. I came into Recovery Village needing help, and I left with tools, hope, confidence, and people I will never forget. The staff members I mentioned above went far beyond simply doing their jobs they genuinely cared about us and our recovery. This is an amazing place. I felt at home here. From all of the nurses, BHTs, counselors, medical staff, chefs, maintenance - I was completely taken care of. I came to Oregon Trail Recovery Services not as someone unfamiliar with addiction treatment, but as someone who has spent more than 15 years working in the behavioral health and substance use treatment field as a counselor, clinical supervisor, administrator, and advocate. That background gave me a unique perspective. I know what quality treatment looks like. I know the standards. I know the difference between simply providing services and truly helping people heal. When I arrived, I was also a man who had experienced the devastating consequences of addiction firsthand. I had lost pieces of my life that mattered most, including precious time with my children. I entered treatment humbled, broken, and determined to rebuild my life one day at a time. Oregon Trail Recovery has exceeded every expectation I had. The greatest strength of this program is not simply its curriculum or structure—it's the people. Every single day, I have been met with kindness, compassion, encouragement, and accountability. The staff have an incredible ability to challenge me while never making me feel judged. They have celebrated my victories, helped me through difficult moments, listened when I needed someone to hear me, and reminded me that recovery is possible even on the days when I questioned myself. What stands out to me most is that I have never felt like just another client. I have felt seen as a person. The staff genuinely care about each individual's success, and that care is reflected in the countless small moments that often go unnoticed—checking in after a difficult group, offering words of encouragement, celebrating milestones, laughing together, and creating an atmosphere where healing feels possible. As someone who has supervised treatment programs myself, I pay close attention to culture, professionalism, and clinical quality. Oregon Trail has created something special. Their staff consistently demonstrate integrity, empathy, patience, and clinical competence. They don't simply teach recovery—they model it through the way they treat people. Throughout my time here, I have participated in intensive treatment, recovery planning, peer support, 12-step work, parenting education, relapse prevention, and ongoing clinical services. More importantly, I have begun rebuilding my confidence, my character, and my hope. The tools I am learning here will continue to shape my recovery long after I leave this program. This experience has also reignited my passion for the behavioral health profession. Rather than allowing my relapse to define me, Oregon Trail Recovery has helped remind me why I dedicated my life to serving others in the first place. It has given me renewed purpose and strengthened my commitment to continue my own recovery while working toward restoring my professional credentials. Recovery is about so much more than abstinence. It is about learning to live honestly, reconnecting with yourself, repairing relationships, finding community, and believing that your future can be different from your past. Oregon Trail Recovery is helping me do exactly that. I am deeply grateful to every counselor, peer, worker, support staff member, and person behind the scenes who shows up every day for people like me. I entered Hooper on Jan 20th, 2025 and here it is April 13th 2026, and in 7 short days I will be celebrating 15 months clean and sober!!! Counselor nodded out on me 😆 I like to believe he was on methadone or Suboxone but he literally asked me how long he was out when he came to. All while talking about super personal information... I've been there three times... Not since the 90s old location .. thank you Lord above.. Another time the guy had the exact same line "don't you want to go to the ocean and throw your girlfriend in it type of shit 😂" same guy ten years apart it was beyond memorable. But this place plants seeds that lead to a life of substance free Bliss!! The acupuncture in the AM and evening AA/NA Meetings meant everything to me.

Olalla was a life changing experience and gave me the tools I needed to get and stay sober. Kevin, my counselor, is an amazing and compassionate person who guided me through the recovery process. The Olalla staff are kind and patient and were always willing to give me the help I absolutely needed. The treatment center is located on was a hilltop forest overlooking Puget Sound, which is incredibly beautiful and the perfect environment for recovery. Walking the trail surrounding the property every morning was awesome. The food is wonderful and there is lots of it. I would recommend this treatment center to anyone who is serious about getting sober!!

I was at Ollala back in March of 2024 for a 28 days inpatient stay. It was the best decision of my life., and credit this experience and all I learned about addiction and myself for my continued sobriety today.The entire experience here at Ollala was incredible. The staff and counselors are so accepting and compassionate, they truly make you feel important. I would recommend Ollala Recovery Centers to anyone!!

Our experience with Crestview Recovery Center exceeded every expectation we had. The level of care and compassion shown by the entire staff is truly exceptional. They didn't just focus on our daughter's recovery—they genuinely cared about her as a person, treating her with dignity, respect, and kindness every step of the way. What impressed us just as much was the support they provided to our family. Addiction affects everyone who loves the person struggling, and the Crestview team understood that. They were there for us throughout the entire process, offering guidance, encouragement, and reassurance far beyond what we ever expected. Garrett, who helped us through the admissions process, was outstanding. His professionalism, patience, and compassion made an incredibly difficult time much more manageable. He worked with us over an extended period, helping us navigate insurance and ensuring everything was in place so that when our daughter was finally ready to seek treatment, her admission to Crestview was seamless. Garrett also took the time to help me process the emotions that come with having a child battling addiction, offering thoughtful guidance and support that I will never forget. My son was treated at Crestview Recovery, they made him feel very comfortable to accept his alcoholism, which he has never done in the past. They also taught him tools to sub-due triggers that make him turn to alcohol. They kept us in the loop every week to his progress with updates and information for when he was released, for him to continue his journey of sobriety. They got him on the medications he's needed to maintain his mental heath problems as well, that also contribute to his addiction. I truly believe if it wasn't for all the help he received at Crestview Recovery I think my son would still be struggling with his addiction in a destructive manner. I will always be very Grateful to all the staff at Crestview Recovery.
