Great place, but sadly it wasn't a place for me. I have been using Sea mar clinic for several years now for all of my family health needs. The doctors are respectful, courteous and attentive. Not once have I ever had to push the issue of good quality care. Also when placing my prescription refills I have always received them in a timely fashion and have never had to wait for days or even weeks for the prescription to be fill.

I’ve been going here and seeing the same therapist and medicine lady since October of 2022 when I moved to the area. They have bent over backwards to help me in this office. I do not understand any of the negative reviews. I’ve gotten more help from Eugenia Aberdeen than I have at any other therapist in 43 years of therapy.

I checked into FBTS on September 22nd 2025, lost, confused, and terrified. It was the best decision I have ever made, a choice that undoubtedly saved my life. Over the last 3 months I have made connections that will last me a lifetime time, made friends i will never forget. This program, these staff members, these classes are a miracle you get to witness. Every single staff member is an angel who genuinely and truly cares about you and your recovery, the kitchen staff make excellent food that keeps you nourished and ready to take on your day, even the cleaning staff care about you and your life. When I was lost and had no hope. When my world was torn upside down and had no idea where to even begin. By the grace of the universe I was referred to Free by the Sea by a friend. I called them and was met with compassion and understanding. They guided me through the intake process and for the first time in a long time I felt heard. I felt seen. I completed their 30 day residential program and stayed longer for their IOP program and they literally saved my life. The staff and activities, the classes and their content, was exactly what I needed to get my life back on track. I found peace and safety. They fostered a place for me to fight my addiction and heal my heart. This was my launchpad to kickstart my life again after the darkness. From the clinical director, the counselors, the staff, the kitchen and cleaning staff, the owners themselves, and the medical teams. The admissions staff, the group fellowship, the nature, the ocean, the entirety of Free by the Sea has been a game changer. I went to KLEAN almost ten years ago now. It was my first time doing inpatient rehab and thankfully was my only time. I stayed for around 3 and half months enough time to know I was done with heroin for the foreseeable future. They helped me get into postive routines and kept them up for a year after rehab. Things like going to meetings often and getting a sponsor things like that. In December it will be 9 years since I used heroin. I did all the work my self and if I wasnt ready I wouldnt have stoped but I can say for sure the counselors and staff helped me start my journey to being free from dope

I personally had no issues, but there was tons of drama there and it was very stressful on me personally. I was only there a week and 3 days and left and flew back home to cali. There is a really good male psychiatrist there who actually I met with a few days before I left, I can not recall his name but with his insight he really helped me figure out the things causing me to self medicate. I ended up getting clean on my own and have been clean now for 11 months almost a year!

I was impressed with the care of the staff & how each client was treated as an individual. Sometimes a little laid back but overall I believe my life was saved there by following treatment plan developed for me. Everyone was so very nice, very direct & honestly showing concern. The food was Fantastic & kitchen staff very flexible. I learned much during my 30 days of treatment & use the knowledge daily to guide me in my one day at a time sober way of living. I am very pleased & all my family say it was money well soent.

Been through their in patient service twice, this last time being my third time total in the inpatient process. Amazing staff, inside and out. Food is unbelievably good on every level. Snacks whenever you want, specialty diets available. The TA'S are professional, same with the counselor's both inpatient and out patient. I had contacted this organization searching for support in a time of need. They are very willingly and happy to help! It was surprising to me that I didn't get turned down right away and wasn't asked very much questions about my situation. It shows me the staff are kind, compassionate people who truly care. Another big postive is that they are very fast at answering phone calls and returning emails in a timely matter, which I appreciated a lot. The only reason why I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because IMO I didnt feel quite as safe where the office is located traveling by myself. I am a smaller timid woman. :) To be fair, it is in a highly populated area targeted for certain demographics. :) I do recommend this place if you are in need! The services arent limited to what you think it is! Thank you so much!

1000% recommend these girls. They are freaking phenomenal, especially Josy(sp?) and her other partner. They’re so very honest and caring, they never made me ever feel like a criminal having to sign up for the classes I needed. I came in from recommendation from my Lawyer, Ryan English, and I’m so thankful he had me come here. I was completely distraught coming in, just feeling very disappointed in myself for being even in this situation, but Josy was so kind and helped calm me down and reminded me that I’m not a bad person. Josy is very honest and straight forward with pricing for you, ADIS is $100, Victim Panel I believe was $60(?) and the UA was $140. Josy doesn’t pressure to buy anything unless you know for sure, they’re not money hungry at all, they just truly want the best for you. I can’t recommend this place enough. These girls were a key factor too in helping me remain calm and collective when I thought I ruined my life forever.

Thanks to ABHS I'll have 1 year clean January 2nd, this place has its pros and cons but that's anywhere you go. Only thing that I would improve would be installing a few more phones on each floor 100 people fighting over 6 phones kinda sucked. Other than that The food was good and the staff were pretty cool.

I attended inpatient tx here in April 2019, after I caught 3 new charges alongside 3 active warrants from Mason, Lewis and Cowlitz counties. My attorney informed me I was ineligible for Drug Court, but encouraged me to try DOSA, and that ABHS in Chehalis was about to become co-ed. Upon my release, my best friend helped me pack a couple suitcases and even bought me stuff to last the 91-180 day time frame required for res DOSA. I called the facility to notify them I would be late due to a dead car battery; They were very understanding and thanked me for keeping them updated, and assured me I wouldn't be in trouble for my delayed arrival. I was finally able to show up at around 10 p.m., and every member of the care team warmly welcomed me and helped take my bags upstairs. Everyone involved in my intake was remarkably polite and friendly. They described what day-to-day life would look like, and led me through a comprehensive tour of the unit. During the inventory process, a few items I brought, like hair conditioner and hand sanitizer, were not allowed due to past abuse by clients to get intoxicated, which was reasonable. Each of my belongings was meticulously recorded on two separate lists in front of me: one for items I could keep and use, and another for items that had to be securely stored. Afterwards I completed a baseline UA, and they also conducted random UAs throughout our stays, especially when staff or other clients suspected potential use or intoxication, to ensure no one was high and no drugs were being used, countering the claims of "widespread drug use" from other reviewers on here. Our daily schedule was well-organized, starting with coffee at 4:30 AM and breakfast at 6 AM. The day's first Therapeutic Community (TC) meeting at 8 AM served as an update session where achievements were acknowledged, any issues were addressed, and motivational talks were given to energize us for the day ahead. At 9 AM, we alternated between group sessions with our counselors or study periods in the cafeteria, depending on our counselor's schedule. Lunch was at 11:30 AM, then at 1 PM we would either listen to one of the counselors/guest speaker, or we would have a free period. Dinner was at 4:30 PM, and the last TC meeting wrapped up the day at 6 PM, where we welcomed new intakes and congratulated graduates. Throughout the day, we were allowed two 15-minute phone calls, with daily sign up sheets with slots in quarter hour increments to ensure fair usage. On the weekends, we could have in person visits with people on our approved lists for up to 3 hours. Individual meetings with counselors were part of our treatment plans, which could span up to four levels depending on entry into the program; Level I completion is necessary for self admitted clients (BHO), level III for Drug Court and DOC clients, and level IV for DOSA. We had a movie room with a long list of titles, a giant TV screen with cable in the cafeteria, went to parks, did smudging and art projects. They also took us to DSHS and DOL. There is a dress code, and interactions with the opposite sex are prohibited to prevent "fraternization". Rooms were shared, with options for mattress or room changes if needed, and personal belongings were kept in large secured trunks. Medication requests were available via video visits with doctors, and whenever the whole floor got perfect room check scores, we got rewards like snacks or extra breaks. The head chef "Mama"'s meals were a highlight of everyone's days. I remember I asked her what her favorite part of the job was and she told me, " Seeing people gradually become healthier and happier over their stays here, and being able to provide the food to nourish them. That's why I put so much love into everything I make." All the staff, counselors, esp mine Ms. Baldwin, along with program directors Mr. Berry and Mr. Robinson, made it beneficial and enjoyable. I successfully completed DOSA May 2021! I deducted 1 star due to maintenance issues like broken showers and they frosted the windows which prevented us from seeing outside.
