Newport saved our daughter and set our family on a stable path to recovery. Last fall we were losing our daughter to mental health challenges, PTSD and increasingly unsafe behaviors. It took 3 tries to get her to commit to Newport, but after the first few weeks of adjustment, she made more therapeutic progress with the team at Newport than in all of the other interventions we've tried to date (years of CBT therapy, DBT skills, and peer groups) . We are now 3 months out from her discharge and we still have moments of stress but Newport put us back on the same team in terms of addressing challenges together and we have been super impressed with how our 15yo is using skills to navigate the tough moments. We are extremely grateful to the Newport team for everything they did to get through to our child and earn her trust in their process.

I transfered to Wecare for a while it's way closer to my home. But I'm not daily, and they will work with you, from where you are. They'll get around all the unnecessary red tape and BS they can, and every time I make my dose, it's high 5s and smiles all the way from the staff. They make you feel wanted, and you can't exaggerate how much some of us need that now. To me, it's worth the extra few miles... I'm driving though, not everyone has been as lucky as me on that so this is just my calculation and experience. Chin up. Anyway yeah it's great for a methadone place. They're totally good enough. And in this industry that should be celebrated.

Chris is the best psychiatrist ever and he's at Sound! I liked Beth but Chris is just amazing. He's the reason I actually love and look forward to going there, and it's HARD to find a good psych! I pray he stays with Sound for a long, long time and if he leaves I might have to leave with him LOL. The first psych I've ever had that actually understands some of the things I've been through (like gangstalking) without looking at me like I'm nuts. The girl at the front desk is kind and I enjoy talking to her when I wait. (Alexandria I think is her name.) You guys deserve a raise! I think your experience with a clinic is based off your experience with the people who work there. If you connect or end up growing on someone it becomes a good experience. I think a lot of people hating on Sound are probably not owning up to their side of whatever it is they're complaining about. I learned this in my 4th step (AA). People like to point fingers but not take a look at themselves. I guarantee most the low ratings are due to angry people who are either off their meds, just spiritually sick and projecting their hatred at others or just addicts who are not getting their way.

I just wished I knew about the John Volken Academy before I sent our son to Lakeside Milam twice and once to Schick Shadle. As we thought that they knew what they were doing and they really was only into it for the insurance money. No communication about how our son was doing or what we need to do for him. I just don't understand like they tell you it takes villageput they refuse to communicate with us. I just wish things were different then maybe he would have been alive today. Here you think you are doing the right thing but don't really know until it is to late.

ICS is the most wonderful, supportive, unique, caring and committed group of people I have encountered in my recovery process. I have been on this journey for 9+ years, and ICS has been apart of it the entire time. The space created by Dennis in my group sessions, is beyond the words I am going to use..he is informative, brilliant with his delivery, kind and sensitive to each individual, honors everyones place in life, offers such incredible support to the group as a whole. Scott has been my individual therapist for almost two years, and I have expanded into a new person because of him. The care, attention to my well-being, the emotionally safe space he has created, has allowed to me understand who I truly am. I can not thank the team of ICS for their care and commitment to helping the folks that come to them. For showing up the way that they do every session and for fully offering every bit of knowledge they can to the ones that want to do the work with them. I would not be in the place that I am, living my best life, with more compassion and understanding of who I am and how I want to show up in the world, if it were not for ICS being apart of my life.

So to preface, I’m giving my current therapist 5 stars 100%. She’s super helpful and has been a tremendous help!! As for past care, I’d say it’s quite rocky. Some therapists and psychiatrists that I worked with were good, while others not so much. Maybe we just didn’t fit, maybe they just weren’t that good, who cares. I think this is a great place to get help when you need it. If I wasn’t seeing my current therapist I’d probably rate a 3 or lower because trying to contact psychiatrists, can be a grueling process when in between appointments. And sometimes it felt like I was a “trial run” with some seemingly inexperienced therapists. As seen by reviews though, you have to have your own experience here to draw a conclusion on if you like it.

Will update my review in the future if needed. So far care has been excellent, I did a walk-in and got an intake the same day, then got assigned a counselor right away who has been on time and communicative about appointments. Starting med management soon, the waitlist was actually shorter than estimated. Friendly front desk staff. Clean and attractive facility with good privacy features. Can always find a parking space in the medium-sized parking lot.

I've never experienced more than a few minutes of wait time on the phone and have had a wonderful experience here with my therapist. This was the only place that was accepting new clients on Medicaid after two hours and 29 phone calls to various clinics that were listed on the Medicaid website. There have been snags and miscommunications for sure, but overall this place has been a great resource.

This place is definitely a place that tries. They are not perfect, but if you are seeking treatment, I would recommend them. I stayed at the adult residential treatment side and overall it was good. Most staff are amazing and kind. The other residents are non-aggressive and mainly are happy. The food is generally top quality, but they don’t have alot of variety. There is alot of rules you need to follow that may not apply to your specific condition, but overall its not to restrictive after you level up. Some staff enforce alot others are really chill. Also I like turtles.

I loved my experience at Thira. I did the Morning IOP and it was a great way to learn skills to navigate big emotions, help gain perspective in this chaotic world, and just be a better human who is accountable for their own stuff. Group was great - working with others who want to do better too. It’s a lot of hard work, and you have to be willing to look inward, but it’s rewarding.

The UW has worked hard with me. Kyla Evans has been a wonderful therapist through most of my ups and downs since working with her. She gives me things to think about and work on each time I see her. Kyla has been tremendous along with everyone who worked with me from the beginning when I felt like a crazy mess. Preliminary: I am a outpatient patient of harborview outpatient mental health being seen for: #Bipolar1 #PTSD #MDD #OCD #ADHD #Anxiety #goodtimes I have been going here for outpatient services longer than I care to say. That having been said; I have had much contact with all levels of staff over the years. My overall assessment is that these are amazing human beings that work for the greater good. My current case manager is so ridiculously good at his job it never ceases to amaze me. He never denies my access to him. I am admittedly a demanding client and both he and my prescribing phychiatrist deal with it very gracefully. I never feel judged or ashamed. I literally tell them everything and they take it in stride giving me necessary feedback. They respect my boundaries and I theirs so the relationship seems to work. Sometimes on weekends I have a hard time and I will leave messages, dependably corresponding come Monday morning like clockwork. they never make me feel weird about it, on the contrary, always supportive and understanding. These dedicated, hard working people have undoubtedly saved my life and certainly my sanity on several occasions when having an episode. They do their best to help me understand my illness and thereby, my limitations and acceptance of the things I cannot change. Recovery when you have a SMI is seemingly impossible and never indefinite, but without a doubt these people are there with you, as you navigate time and space by your own definitions and try to make sense of the world around you. Honorable mentions: Gail Efroymsen LICSW, Kate Severson; Psychiatric ARNP, Christine Curry MD, Jessica Hazlett LICSW, Alberto Osugera MD of sports medicine, Sam from Pat Steele pharmacy, Ladonya psychiatric nurse, and last but certainly not least, Owen B. Riley LICSW Cons: The rood security guy that is upstairs upon main entrance that suceeded the nice Filipino dude. Note to management: he could use some customer service training currently he grunts at you like an ape if you say thanks to him for any reason.
