I had a total knee replacement in January. I am now pretty much back to normal activities. I want to thank the following, Dr Patel. My wife and I were impressed with him at my first appointment. He did an amazing job with the replacement surgery and has excellent bedside manner and he always had the time to talk and listen.I also want to thank Kelley Hesseling at the New Glarus Branch, because she took the time to do an extra test, a blood clot which I had no symptoms of was found. This allowed me to receive the proper treatment. I want to thank Brooke Hoesly at the New Glarus Clinic. She was always very understanding and was able to get my blood pressure back to normal after I had issues with lab numbers. And I want to thank Physical Therapist Amanda Haglund also of the New Glarus Branch. She was also very understanding and had me do the stretches and exercises needed. Due to her illness and my blood clot I was about 2 weeks behind but in about six weeks she had me ahead of schedule. She also has helped me in the past with feet and shoulder/neck issues. I would strongly recommend each one of the outstanding professionals.

The counselor, Jack Phillips, evaluated me on 1/15/2019. We talked for about an hour and he DID NOT recommend additional treatment or classes. He was attentive and listened to what I was saying about what and why I was ordered for an evaluation. $$$$ WAS NOT his motive; an accurate assessment was his focus. Jack thanks again for the job recommendations and I appreciate your services. Ashleigh (the receptionist) was VERY helpful!!! She gave me plenty of copies of the evaluation assesment, and even faxed proof of the evaluation to the concerning parties. I can only attest to the counselor Becki that worked with our adult son. Otherwise my husband and I cannot comment on our son’s time there because he was released yesterday. Becki was responsive when I’d call. The first evening my son was there he hadn’t received his belongings and was worried and contacted us. I tried to get through to the facility but they were closed. The customer service line was inconsistent with their responses on how to handle this. A couple of customer service representatives told me that we’d get a call back from staff that evening and to no avail. We were exhausted and concerned about our son. The next day Becki the counselor contacted me. She listened to me and told me that our son was safe. She was patient, kind and respectful towards me. Our son thinks highly of Becki as well. Becki is absolutely the best at what she does and Rosecrance is blessed to have her on staff as one of their counselors. While my son was there, they experienced a Covid outbreak. There was apparently staff out so Becki filled in wherever there was a need. We hope that Becki is recognized by her commitment to those entrusted to her and that Rosecrance upper management will favorably acknowledge Becki for her outstanding work ethic and commitment to not only those in recovery who are fortunate to have her as their counselor, but her responsiveness with family members as well.

My dad recently had a partial lung removal and spent 6 days here. The service, care and respect he and our family received was absolutely top notch. Every single employee we encountered from the parking garage attendant, reception, cafeteria, cleaning staff to his doctors, nurses, cna-- all incredible. I don't think we had a single complaint or even annoyance while we were there. Special shoutout to the entire staff on the 4B unit!!

As far as psych unuts go, this one is *TOP* of my list!! The food is AMAZING, the people are WONDERFUL, the programs they do and the support they provide are absolutely the best I've had (and, I'm not ashamed to say I've been to *many* different inpatient units over my lifetime. 😅 Being able to go in when you realize you're out of sorts or not feeling safe is VERY important!! We don't talk enough about mental health in the world, and it's just as important as physical care!)
Anyway.... 10/10... HIGHLY recommend!

Although I have nothing to compare this program to, I found my care to be top notch. Okay, the beds are a bit hard but the doctors, social workers and the nurses (almost forgot to mention the OT folks) were incredibly kind and effective. In my opinion, the inpatient program is as successful as the work you put into it. There is no magic cure; just need to pull yourself up by the britches and dive in.
Oh- the food is quite good as well!
I would highly recommend this inpatient psychiatric programming!

Connections Counseling is by far the best place I have ever been to for therapy and treatment. My therapist is insightful, inspiring, relatable and very knowledgeable. She encourages me to look within myself for strength and wisdom while she is there to help me. I now have 1.5 years of sobriety under my belt and have confidence in the future
The groups are a place of safety and comfort. The staff aswell as the peers are relatable, inspiring and encouraging. Kim is the most uplifting person you will ever come across in recovery. I had the honor of attending Wood Violet to support me in my recovery earlier this year and I can not thank them enough or say enough good things about the care I received there. Groups, one on one therapy, yoga, art therapy, outings, the clientele in attendance- they were all wonderful. Additionally, It’s quite unique to be able to say every staff member you had interactions with treated you with respect and kindness- from management all the way to housekeeping, kitchen staff and grounds maintenance- every staff member was wonderful. Special shout out to Sheila, Nicole, Sarah, Shaunda, Ginny and Abby for all of their knowledge and wisdom! Great people! If you're in need of the services they offer. I would stop looking now and just give them a call. Jack is amazingly personable and was easy to talk to. His daughter Trisha is professional, wears a huge smile and is very friendly. They are a down to earth home grown facility that will help you get what you need done. Highly recommended.

This place has been very supportive and reliable through my sobriety. Both Jerry's (clinical supervisor and nurse) are wonderful and the others nurses are great too!! I have been incredibly impressed with the Madison VA healthcare system for my elderly veteran father. Each dept always exceeds my expectations. Lab, radiology, primary care, acupuncture, and especially the Audiology dept. They are life savers! I cannot speak highly enough of the care, love, and respect they display. Always going above and far beyond for our treasured veterans!

While it's a little hard for me to get to especially during the road construction season the clinic is about as accessable as anything else is in Madison. In July the VA is opening up a clinic on the east side of Madison not far from Sun Prairie where I reside. That should make it a good deal easier for me.

March 25 I will have been clean for 2 years. I have been to many clinics and never have come this far! If I have a problem I get dealt with usually that day and with addiction being fast and efficient can be life or death. I think Dr. Harkin has tried hard to make his clinic a better the typical methadone clinics and I think he’s done amazing job! Not one of the other clinics in Madison can you walk into and say I’m struggling can I please talk to the doctor, not one of them will you be able to do that but at ASAP you can and that’s enough for me that right there is what it should be! When we walk in there in the morning sometimes all we need is someone to say hi , how are u doing with a smile on their face and that’s enough to change that day!! I’m so grateful for my second chance at life….well let’s keep it real more like 100th chance at life!! Lol but I think I got it this time and that’s thanks to dr. Harkin and he’s amazing staff!!

Dr Harkin, is great he is truly compassionate for his patient's. I have only been to one other clinic and they just treat you like a number, they treat you with respect at ASAP and they don't judge. It seems like everyone likes Dr Harkin, you will even find him out in the parking lot from time to time giving fist bumps to his patient's and asking them how they are doing.
