I cannot say enough good things about my experience with St. Luke's Mental Health Clinic. I truly hope that my review helps others considering seeking care here. When I entered the building for my first appointment, I was guided to a private room and sat down with a very kind woman who then asked me to share my story. At the end of the hour, she looked at her clipboard and said, "I think (therapist name) is going to be a great fit for you." I was so impressed that St. Luke's took the time to match patients with a therapist who would be their best fit, instead of just sticking them in available slots or making them choose based on online bios. I have been with my therapist for many years now and I can say she is the perfect therapist for my needs, and I am so grateful for the lovely woman who matched us together. Thank you St Luke's for providing top-notch, personalized mental health care.

What an answer to prayers! Not only was the staff so caring and gentle, but the women that came through these doors were the crutch I needed on days when I could not stand on my own. This program literally saved me from jumping off a bridge. They gave me hope for the future and restored my belief in myself again. I stepped into this house at the darkest time in my life, when vision was blinded by disparities & my heart hardened to the beauty around me. I lived in silence and tried to hide from reality in any way I could find. By the 2nd week, bits of sunshine began to break through the gloom. Eventually a smile would shock the woman sitting next to me. By the time my program was complete, I had been reborn. I owe my life to this place. With a MAJOR shout out to October Allen, who was the glimmer of hope that began knocking down the rocks that were preventing me from moving. Today, I have full custody of my kids. I am thriving in a world that had broken me. Life is so beautiful and so worth the fight to discover again.

If anyone needs to have a great support team for mental and emotional issues I would highly recommend going to birch tree... The staff there are so supportive and understanding. They truly and genuinely care for their guest and have very warm hearts....I went there in a crisis and I feel completely peaceful and it hasn't been 10 days! Please consider these guys

I really appreciated what they did for me I got along with the staff very well I made them all laugh etc I had really good experience there sure I didn't always play along by their rules but respected them the food was delicious the roommates were cool had a great repoire with them got along well with the clients too I can't complain this all happened when they first opened I'm not sure how things are regulated now I was ever grateful and blessed

Also I go to therapy there and have had some real good breakthroughs and processing past trauma. Because really bottom line trauma is what brings us here.

please rewrite this review: I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! Well, here it is...I have my life back because this place exists. Kathy Javis, the owner of this amazing place, found me at a time in life when I was on the verge of giving up. A time when I was lost and didn't know where to turn. I was hopeless, ashamed, terrified....defeated. Kathy listen to me. She heard me. Care cared about me. She stood by my side as I was mauled over by life. When I felt like giving up she was there to remind me how far I had come and she kept my mind focused on the rewards. Kathy was able to see the person I was inside and she looked passed the person who was addicted. I was with Kathy for nearly 4 years of my life. She helped me through the pain of what I now know was abuse. She helped me find my confidence back, she helped me find reasons to smile. She taught me to stand up for myself and helped me with setting boundaries, she taught me that I didn't have to live in fear. Because of Kathy, today I am happier than I ever knew was possible. There are no words to empress my gratitude to her. She saved my life and she saved my daughters' lives. She gave me the gift of a lifetime. This kind of gift is rare. If you are lucky enough to have found yourself on this website, I pray that you are able to recognize that your gift of a lifetime is right in front of you. Don't let it pass you by. I got a fast/detailed response from Dave via email on my inquiry about a clinian who would be best fit for a practicing therapist. He was ready to answer all the questions I had. I was a student here in 2011 and a staff in 2020. Northwoods and other PRTF save lives! Google me! I play pro football now and was on path to end up in jail when I went here at age 12. Please contact me if you doubt me, I’m easy to find! The thing with PRTF is that your kid has to participate in their programming. If they don’t then this isn’t the place to be forcing you, it’s not a fully locked down facility like that. Then, you have some families who don’t care in the horn so that doesn’t help either when the kid leaves doesn’t have support then everyone blames the PRTF but there’s a reason we all got sent their in the first place so reading these former youth complain when they’re fresh out shouldn’t impact you. I’m a grown adult 10+ years after successfully discharging from Northwoods living my independent life, married and happy and it is all because of Northwoods.
