I went there back in 2012 and 13. What God did for me through using Eternal Awakenings , has sure lived up to their name, God transformed me and changed me by waking me up. I am humbled to still be apart of this wonderful and God fearing place. I m also grateful and thankful for what God did for me so that I could step into His identity He had for me, so I too could be used for His glory. God is still continuously using this wonderful and beautiful place for His glory, all to bring the lost home, sinners to repentance and salvation to a fallen world.God bless this place continuously in Jesus name !

I went in for treatment at EA several years ago (2011) and I have never looked back. I had been to a facility in Memphis the year before after losing my son in the Army & I couldn t seem to get my life together. It helped, but when I had a setback, I looked closer to home & found EA just 30 miles away & from the minute I entered that beautiful, stately home I felt welcomed & loved. Jim and his awesome staff as well as the others in treatment made my stay so productive and life changing. I am a minister s daughter & the faith based treatment helped me get through & arrive back to myself. Even after my husband s passing in 2019, I relied on the things I was taught & reminded of from my stay. If you need help for addiction or alcoholism, this is a great place to go - you will make friends you never knew you needed and learn things about yourself that carry you through the next phase of your life. I m so grateful I found EA.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Before I came to E.A. I was at the lowest point of my life. I was addicted to multiple drugs, I had been to prison, I had lost my daughter, my marriage was failing, my family wanted nothing to do with me and I was selling drugs out of a hotel room. I was at rock bottom. Honestly, I was okay with the idea that the next overdose would be the one that ended me. I have been to treatment more times than I like to admit the past sixteen years. Each time after leaving I felt more and more hopeless. I was convinced I would live in addiction forever. But in the midst of it all, someone reached out to me about E.A. and I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. My life has been forever changed by Jim and Karla. The staff truly cares about each and every person that walks through the doors of Eternal Awakenings. They not only help you learn how to live life without drugs, but also help you grow spiritually and lean on God through the good times and bad. I know that without the treatment I received at Eternal Awakenings, I would more than likely be dead. I now have a relationship with my daughter and my family and my marriage has never been better. I am living proof that no matter how bad your life has become, with God and the right people to guide you, you can have the life you have always dreamed of. I thank God daily for allowing me to find E.A. If you are reading this, your life is about to change. All you have to do is take the first step. Nicole G Make A Choice. Take A Step. Choose Life.

Eternal Awakenings is a very unique place. They tie Christian principles and the Bible in with the 12 steps. They offer a personal experience based on your needs. Jim has been specifically working with me on techniques that I can apply successfully to prevent relapse. This is a residential program housed in a historic mansion. The setting is peaceful and they offer flexibility that other centers don’t. I highly recommend this center.

My life was on the verge of being completely decimated by my addiction. Eternal Awakenings is a very special place and God is definitely at work here. I’ve had multiple positive spiritual experiences since being sober here. I’ve had to deal with some real life and very sobering realities, but they’ve been met with love, acceptance, and grace. This place has taught me mindfulness and gratitude like I’ve never known. If you or someone you know and love needs a program that really includes a huge base of knowledge of medicine, psychology, and with a spiritual foundation then don’t hesitate to call E.A.

Before E.A. I felt hopeless. I was encumbered with guilt and shame. I had already graduated from both a 45 day secular rehab, and injecting drugs rather than taking them after relapsing. I was at rock bottom, contemplating suicide. When i sought help again, I found E.A. I was pretty convinced i was only delaying my death. I had no idea this decision would change my life forever! Unbenounced to me, God was answering all the prayers that I cried out every night. You see, He knew EXACTLY what would DELIVER me from the darkness i had fallen in. His solution for me was ETERNAL AWAKENINGS. It was the only route to a happy, content, and SOBER life. There is no doubt that God's Will is being carried out through Eternal Awakenings' staff: Jim Welch, Karla Welch, Paul B., and the people there. They welcomed me into their family and really, honestly, sincerely cared about my well being, even when I didn't. They are carrying out God's Will, or God's purpose for their life by saving others.I now have 7 years clean from heroin and opiates. I owe it all to God's living angels at E.A. Looking back now, the word "miracle" has a different meaning to me. I guess if you saw them happen as often as I did at E.A., it would change your view as well. If you are reading this I firmly believe God is speaking to you.
