I spent the whole 90 days there being guided through a journey of unlearning a lot of preconceived notions that were not working at all. 40 years of emotional weight was removed by the awesome staff loving me where I was while helping me remove so much junk at my own pace. They patiently held the light and encouraged me while I did the work. God bless them eternally for that kind of love! It works if you work it. And. How free do you want to be?

Nurses/front desk/dosing staff are great, really sweet people who treat you like you're human. I love that THEY OFFER GRANTS that cover all or most of your treatment.
Focus is definitely not on counseling here, and your experience can vary pretty widely depending on who you get. I'm currently on a by-the-book stickler counselor, but they never last long so hopefully my next one will be better. I think I've had 5+ counselors I've gone through in less than a year because they come and go so quickly.
Dr. Archibald tends to be less than sympathetic to addicts. I'm not sure why people like that work in these places but I guess maybe they start wanting to help then get jaded. One good thing about him though is that he'll prescribe narcotics like Xanax and Adderall on top of the Methadone if you play your cards right.

I learned those are people who are there to help you and they are actually very serious about health and recovery. Now I am a happy, functioning, productive member of society. Counselors knew where to take me and were non-judgemental. Everyone acts as if you are the only client because they give you their full attention (and there is a lot of people coming really)

Excellent service when applied via therapy. Workers come and go due to the current times and economy which is understandable. Very detailed and empathetic individuals who look after those in need. Primarily treat the root issues of trauma that others overlook. My only recommendation would that helped me in the military are therapy dogs.

When you think there is no place to go or turn to there is! Just breath and bring in the stuff you need. They are there for you. It take time to get to where they need you to be. Wait time sometimes long to see a Dr. Who can get you on Medical needs. You can call to make an earlier appointment to see the therapist or even leave a message for them.. They return your call promptly. I can't say how graceful I am to have them on my side to make me; me again. Thank you for believing in who I am and for what my brain injuries make me with out medical treatment.

Montgomery Metro Treatment Center is an incredible facility with even more incredible staff. Every member of the staff are kind, accommodating, knowledgeable, courteous, and willing to do everything they can to help you.
In a time when recovery is often stigmatized, compassionate staff with lived experience is KEY to connecting on a personal level with people going through substance abuse recovery, and in my opinion, Montgomery Metro Treatment Center and everyone working there, from the receptionist, to the counselors, the nurses, and the doctor, are all godsends.
If you are apprehensive about getting help here, please, I urge you to come inside and just ask to speak with any of the counselors, or nurse Tony. You WILL be taken care of here, you will be seen not as an addict but as a person looking to make a change, take the first step.

This place isn't too bad. They have a very high turnover rate as far as counselors and pharmacy techs go. Always new employees rotating in and out. The director is fair and friendly, I like her a lot. There are a few counselors that have been there for a long time though, they are awesome and for the most part always willing to help resolve an issue. I guess the biggest downside to this place is all the drama that goes down in the parking lot before the place even opens, lawd there's some crazy folks that go here!

My favorite location to dose at. The director is super nice and you can tell she cares. The receptionist is very nice and doesn’t ever seem like she’s upset to be at work, really welcoming. The nurses are great too but the nurse Tony is the MVP in my opinion 😂 She’s always on top of things when I guest dose there and always atleast seems like she’s happy to be there and to help. In my experience it’s almost a thankless job and most people expect so much and can be super rude at clinics, but this clinic actually cares and does their best and you can tell.

Birmingham Recovery Center provided a space for me to heal mentally, physically, and spiritually during this season in my life. Looking back at my time at BRC, I was met with 1 on 1 therapy, group processing, while being held accountable. I learned how to get honest and vulnerable with the help of the staff there. BRC played a pivotal role in helping me build a foundation for my life while healing from my past. So that I could move forward and live life on life’s terms. I’m beyond grateful for all the staff at BRC, they helped me in more ways than I could ever count. I’ll recommend BRC to whoever God puts in my path that’s looking for a new way of life. We relocated from another state and Bessemer VA was quick to schedule appointment for my husband as well as insure additional appointments were arranged for additional specialty clinics. It’s a great place. The parking is extremely easy. It is located beside the railroad tracks up on a hill. They do draw blood and do labs in house, which is extremely convenient. They offer mental health and general practitioners. No specialties are located there. You’ll need to go to Birmingham for that.

Childersburg VA has an excellent staff, Especially Dr.Michail Shakhmatov. Dr. Shak is very thorough and always takes whatever time is needed to listen to you, and make sure you get the best care. I have been in the VA system for 30 years, and this facility is A1.

If you have someone u know and love, and they are going thru an addiction. JourneyPure Panama City Beach is the place I would want my loved one to be. Professional staff excellent techniques to teach the client of how to deal with the addiction. It has to be there choice to do so tho u can’t make anyone do anything. So until they get sick and tired of the problems then you just have to be patient. This Professional and caring staff know how to treat the patient with dignity and respect. Tremaine and the man with him were the most pleasant and professional people I have dealt with in a long time. I’ve been here for 3 days now and I must say, Mrs. Celeste from the front is AMAZING!! She has been a Godsend, and Mrs. Coretta (the nurse), Mrs.cherri and Mrs. Ruth they all have shown me they work as a team and WANT PEOPLE TO STAY SOBER AND COME TO THEIR CLINIC! When I return home from a trip and enter the gated community of condos surrounded with lush greenery and palm trees, I know I have returned to my oasis in the city. I love the Southern atmosphere the Condo Association has created, and I always feel welcome and at home in the surroundings. The property is well maintained and clean from rubbish. The swimming pool looks as though it would fit well within the confines of any upscale resort vacation facility and, like the surrounding area, is clean and well maintained.
The complex is located on the cusp of downtown Birmingham, and the airport is less than ten minutes away. A well connected Interstate system surrounds our city, and it's easy to navigate from my condo to any other location within the city or venture further out by car or from the nearby airport.

I have multiple friends that live at Hanover Circle Condominium and I have spent many, many days over the last 10+ years visiting them. It is also a treat to go to Hanover because I feel like I am entering a tropical resort each and every time I go to visit. I am greeted as I come through the front gate with a beautifully landscaped area with a five-tier fountain with topical water lilies and goldfish. The property also has Bevolo gas lanterns in the parking lot and around the beautiful pool area. To make the property even better, it is smoke-free so everyone can enjoy the area without breathing cancer causing smoke.
I am also amazed at the quality of resident that management has been able to attract to the property. Everyone I meet is very nice and the type of people you want to be around-doctors, lawyers, professors, elected officials, medical students, dental students, optometry students, law students, etc. You simply do not find this level of detail and quality resident anywhere else. In addition, the property is very secure with the gated access and cameras all about the property.

My son spent 3 months at Stonewater a year and a half ago and had a fantastic experience. He thanked us for sending him and credited Stonewater with saving his life. After he came home he was able to participate in ongoing alumni support calls, and was doing well until recently when due to a couple of traumatic events in his life he fell back into old coping skills. I reached back out to Stonewater and received help in finding a great place for him to return to recovery, now as an adult, and Stonewater has continued to work with the staff at the new facility to make his care as seamless as possible. Even his counselor - whom he says is the best counselor he ever had - reached out to me by email immediately and is working with his new counselor and with him as he moves forward. Stonewater is an amazing place with amazing people who see their job as a mission. Do not hesitate to let them treat your son and trust them in the process!

We can’t praise Stonewater enough! Our son, our home was in need of intervention. Today I’m happy to report our son is over 1 year clean and our family trio is learning to listen and to be accountable to one another. It is a journey and process. With the continued support for not only the boys but the parents/families as well, it truly sets this place apart from other recovery centers.
Our backstory, Kaleb was 14 years old and on a path of destruction which ultimately landed him in juvenile detention. When facing the judge we pleaded with him to give him yet another chance, but this time was to be sent to Stonewater. After a lot of research including reading the many stories that sounded like ours, we felt like we had hope. A 90 program seemed like forever but it was worth every moment.

Honestly, I came in raw and terrified. But the staff didn’t treat me like a problem to fix. They gave me room to express myself, especially thru art. It was queer-inclusive, and I felt safe! I wish they’d had more gender-focused options, but still, something in me shifted here. It felt like a beginning, not an end.

Literally the worst mental health facility I have EVER gone to in my 13 years of getting help.
Never answer the phones, never return calls, takes days to get medicine requests refilled after calling MULTIPLE times to essentially have to harass them for MY medication that THEY did not give me enough refills of to last between appointments. If my pharmacy sends a request to have authorization to refill my medication, I should not have to call 2-4 times afterwards over the span of multiple days to actually get those refills authorized.
Everyone over the phone is rude consistently and I'm tired of having doctors that leave after a year max.
Last time I needed my medication refilled, it took a week between requesting through my pharmacy and then 2-3 calls (all to voicemail because they DONT ANSWER THE PHONE) before the refill was actually authorized. People cannot just cold turkey medication like this! You are putting people IN DANGER.

I had the absolute best experience here. I had adult ADHD testing, which took about four hours. Everyone was so nice, welcoming, and helpful. The receptionist were inviting and told me exactly what to do, before testing a gentleman came out and explained it to me, and the woman (I forgot her name) who did the testing was so nice and patient. Dr. Wanda is the best! She has such a calming presence and is so good at making me feel comfortable enough to talk with her about anything. I'm so grateful to all of these people for improving my quality of life! 10/10!!!
