I was a patient at ATMC for 60 days in 2024. In the months prior to my stay there I was battling a serious psychosis, in and out of 4 different behavioral hospitals in a matter of 4 months. The medications and mistreatment were brutal and my family thought I was long gone. My mom found ATMC online and although I was reluctant to go there at first, it truly saved my life.I had been been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar for 7 years, I had been prescribed heavy doses of antipsychotics, anticonvulsants, and antidepressants throughout my young adult life. It wasn't working for me, my quality of life was at its lowest.I spent my birthday and Christmas at ATMC, and I've never felt more at home away from home. The staff is genuine, hard-working, knowledgeable, relatable, and above all, they are empathetic. They make sure that everyone feels included, heard, and safe. Instead of treating the symptoms, they find a way to treat the source.I can proudly say that I've been off any and all psych medications for a full year now. Instead of giving my autonomy up to a doctor or a pill, I finally have it for myself. And I owe the world to my family, friends, and those at ATMC for that.

I am a grandmother who is retired from a 40 yr career in education who has a grandson in B2B in Flagstaff, AZ. This program was carefully chosen & my grandson was included in the final choice. I have a MA degree in education with an emphasis in learning disabilities & have helped finance his treatment there which has proven to be excellent. B2B is a holistic program which addresses individual needs with kindness, professionalism & excellent resources for learning to be a responsible adult. A resident of AZ, I am familiar with the beauty of Flagstaff, & recently spent time with my grandson & noticed positive changes in him. The B2B staff is there because they want to share their experience & expertise to help others - definitely not for their own financial gain. B2B is with no doubt a 5 star program.

As the mother of a client who has been part of Back2Basics for the past 6 months, I can honestly say we could not be more pleased with the program and staff. We heavily researched programs for our son all over the United States and found Back2Basics to be a top program with proven therapies and highly qualified staff/therapists. They are highly respected in the Flagstaff community for their commitment and care. Our son has made huge progress during his time at B2B, more than he has at any other program. I appreciate each and every staff member of Back2Basics. The quality of care and dedication from the residential staff to the therapists has been exceptional. They provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment where a strong support system can be built and coping tools learned for these young men to grow and thrive once out on their own. Our son has dual diagnosis issues and each staff member has worked with him making sure he has the proper support and help based on his individual needs. Back2Basics provides weekly communication updates and has therapy for the families as well which is such an integral part of the journey. They incorporate life skills into the program so that when the young men do transition out of Back2Basics, they have the tools they need to be successful. I would recommend Back2Basics to anyone looking for a high quality, professional, and caring program for their loved one.

My daughter was spiraling downward and we had very few options left. SSA accepted her on short notice. We were hesitant but hopeful, and 6 months later she is home and doing better than I could have imagined. The staff has been amazing; frequent communication and to have the open door policy to visit was such a change from her former RTC. It's only been a few weeks since graduating the program but she is doing well. I am thankful for their work with her and recommend for parents and girls who ate struggling.

Sedona SKY Academy is under new ownership and I am very impressed with their nurturing and supportive environment. A lot of the students come to the academy after they have experienced extreme trauma, and majority of their tuition is paid by their insurance company. It is an all-girls academy, they live on campus and attend year round school.

I just transferred to the northern AZ VA system and I have been floored with how great and attentive they've been. I have mental health issues and the primary Prescott location has been super quick to get me in and talking to someone. The psychiatrist I talked to listened to me and suggested some things for me to try.I am now on a weekly therapy and different meds, when I asked them to check in after I start the meds they scheduled weekly appointments.I had my labs done last week, super quick and really easy going tech.Today I saw nurse Sara and she was lovely! Completely at ease and fun to chat with.I then saw Dr Gallagher and she was delightful. She knew my records, she asked questions and she offered some other treatment options for me. She made sure I had the assistance and appointments all down correctly and said if I need anything to reach out.I've been in the VA system for about a decade and this has been the best experience so far. Oakwood GA clinic was great but cottonwood has surpassed them. Thank you all for being there.

Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood, Arizona, is just west of Sedona and ea | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I entered the ED about 8:30 AM on June 3, 2024. I was alone, shaking and barely able to stand, aged 77. (It was not busy that morning.)I was immediately impressed by the excellent ED nurse, who drew blood and set up an IV - which is usually a major problem for me -- having had many infiltrations, and a two DVTs from faulty IV jabs at the Flagstaff ED. No problems this time! I wish I could remember her name. However, with my brain fog at the time, I was in no shape to remember names.I had X-rays of my chest and I was quickly diagnosed with Bilateral Pneumonia caused by COVID-19. The actual ED physician was beyond excellent, although rushed. (VVMC has now added a second ED physician position, called an "Admitting Physician", in my case Dr Haboukh, who decided I needed to go into the hospital. His name showed up on my Discharge Instructions.)I was in the hospital for several days being treated for the pneumonia, in the COVID ward. The nursing staff was very caring and professional. I especially remember Anthony, who is an excellent communicator. Also the nurse with the Russian accent, who exhibited exceptional medical and leadership skills. Dr Duane Lambert is listed as my attending physician. He is an excellent geriatric doctor, although way too overloaded. All my care providers should be listed on the VVMC discharge papers, so I could thank them individually. I am certain that they saved my life!

In the pre-dawn hours of Friday September 6th, 2024, I arrived at the Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood, Arizona. The air was heavy with the scent of disinfectant and antiseptic, but my senses were overwhelmed by the excruciating pain that radiated from my abdomen. As I was rushed in by ambulance, my vision was blurred and my mind was dizzy - a result of both the pain and the fear that gripped me.Over the next few days, two figures stood out like beacons of comfort and compassion - RN nurses Mapel and Sam. Their gentle voices and soothing touches immediately put me at ease. As I lay there, feeling like something inside me was dying, their caring presence gave me strength and hope. It was as if they were not just treating my physical symptoms, but also tending to my shattered spirit. In fact, every member of the medical team worked tirelessly to ease my pain and bring me comfort. Their dedication and selflessness instilled in me a newfound sense of faith in humanity. They were my angels in scrubs, working tirelessly to heal not just my physical wounds, but also my emotional ones. For that, I will be forever grateful.

I went to Wolf Creek about 2 years ago. I struggled the whole time I was there but it wasn't really their fault. Some rehabs like to keep you occupied/busy so you can keep your mind off of your life outside of rehab. Shocking your routine is a must. Wolf Creek does do that for sure. They like to keep you on a tight schedule. For the most part rehab to me is just the same just about anywhere. You know what the answer is already but you're just not doing it (for me anyways). It takes work. That work may not always look the same to everybody else. I like the counselors I had. I like the house managers. Some of the things I would have liked to have seen done more was management within the home. Their idea was for us to keep each other accountable which can be quite stressful when you're trying to get better. The one thing about any rehab that I've never really quite understood is when there is people there that are obviously not trying to get better and they still keep them. That's going to effect every single person in treatment. Possibly cause others around them to relapse. (I get some cases are harder then other but damn)Maybe a little bit more than $75 a week from Fry's would have nice as well. It was quite the struggle for some of the people that didn't have any extra money. So us other patients/clients would pick up the slack.Remember this was 2 years ago. Rehab is what you make it. You can choose to take those obstacles that you see everyday while you're in treatment and be negative about it or you can see it as practice. Those times where you don't get the Monster Energy drink that you want that morning. Sit with it. Realize it's not the end of the world. You're there to get better, not get pampered. Put in the work and be nice to the people there. All rehabs are businesses but the people make the place and the people there are awesome love you guys. Some tips for going--Get an mp3 player that does not have wifi access ( music saved me )- get it before you go and upload music to it.- FMLA and stuff like that is much easier to do and start before you leave for Rehab. Trust me on this. Check with your HR department at your job to make sure you know how to file FMLA properly. Some companies will give you short-term disability but they require a lot of stupid little loopholes you have to go through. That will not be wolf Creek's fault just remember that.- if you have meds already. Try to get all doctors information beforehand it will make things much quicker for everybody else in the officeTrust me I know it's hard to think of any of this stuff when you're in the dark but you got this

From the moment I walked through the doors, the staff was very inviting and helpful. Most of all they made me feel comfortable and at ease. During my 8 days here, I have learned sooo much about myself, and my character. I recommend Royal Life Centers to anyone who has an addiction and needs help or guidance in like. The best step I've ever made in my life. I love yall and thank you. With love, Jason Painton.
