I have been to a lot of different programs over the years. Alternative to Meds Center stands head and shoulders above the others. They offer so many different treatments and modalities. I had sauna, cold plunges daily, massages, acupuncture, vitamins designed specially for me, organic food, therapy, and lots of compassionate care. You know who you are! Your stuck, your hopeless, your lost,you have started to avoid mirrors (in a reflection aspect anyway ) Lol! Sorry! You don’t know how you got here and further more you don’t know how you’re going to get out! Even if you did what are you going to feel like on the other side? That was me! And I was scared to death that there was no help for me. I had drank and done drugs since I was a teenager it was part of my identity. There was no way I was going to be able to function without it! But I was deteriorating in front of my own eyes! I was no longer present for anyone! I was being eaten alive by guilt and shame. I needed help in every aspect of my being! So I did what anyone would do …… I googled….RECOVERY FOR THE MIND, BODY, AND SOUL! And that’s how I found ATMC! And that’s what it was for me. They didn’t just separate me from substances like your run of the mill treatment center and stick you in classes all day! You literally have a team that works with you everyday and every step of the way! These people have taken recovery where it needs to be in order for someone to have a chance at life again! Not only do you rid your body of the terrible poisons we decided to partake in but of all toxins! And to find out what’s going on with your body your gut your hormones and you learn the things your body is deprived of and what you need day to day with natural alternatives for your brain, energy, mood and your over all health. It’s then that you actually have a fighting chance to work on you! The Trauma the neglect the abusive relationships whatever it is you were( self medicating) numbing in the first place. It’s a magical experience, second chance at life , amazing therapists, doctors , naturopaths , impeccable staff , high quality food exceptional chefs, located in Sedona Arizona in a healing vortex for the love of god! DJ Blust 1 year ago I can't say enough about the integrity and positive, transformative impact of Red Mountain Sedona on our son and as a result, our entire family. Our son attended Red Mountain Sedona from September 2024- April 2025 and it was truly life affirming and life changing for him. He is a very bright, kind young adult who struggled mightily with depression and addiction to marijuana coming out of the shutdown of Covid. He dropped out of college (and reapplied and dropped out again) many times over three years before attending a wilderness therapy program (Pure Life Adventure in Costa Rica, which was also deeply positive and transformational). RMS helped our son to deepen the positive habits he created during his wilderness therapy experience and and create structure around the skills he learned there, and to generate internal motivation, as well compassion and structure in his life. RMS gave our son community, deep and supportive mental health therapy, daily mediation and greater self compassion and introspection, as well as taught him many life skills he missed due to his years of depression/addiction. He was able to re-build his self confidence, now lives a sober and highly productive life. He has returned to college with a deep sense of purpose, a belief in himself, and awareness of his needs, and the ability to ask for help. Most importantly, he has learned the internal fortitude and coping skills to handle the inevitable challenges life brings. We are eternally grateful to RMS. Their staff has been so supportive and informative about their process. The outdoor hiking and camping is something that has truly resonated with our son. The all male environment is something that our son really needed to be able to focus on friendships and connections with other men struggling with the same issues. They build a community and that is what young men need today instead of the constant online activity and lack of personal connections. I had a really rough time in 2025 and in November of 2025 I found Back 2 Basics and they helped me in ways that I could not have imagined. The staff was amazing throughout my entire time from my residential stay to my after care. We were hesitant but hopeful, and 6 months later she is home and doing better than I could have imagined. The staff has been amazing; frequent communication and to have the open door policy to visit was such a change from her former RTC. It's only been a few weeks since graduating the program but she is doing well. I am thankful for their work with her and recommend for parents and girls who ate struggling. I went in expecting it to be trouble. Mallorie (I believe that was her name) from sonora quest, was my tech, and she drew my blood FIRST TRY! One poke! And she was beyond kind! If I could give her an award, I would! I've never had a blood draw go so well. I thought I could just go for 30 days because I had worked programs before just never been to rehab. But the first two weeks I thought were a complete waste because I was so angry with myself for the position I had put myself. It wasn’t until my daughter called me and she was hurting, I was able to articulate and say just what she needed to hear. Just by being sober for a couple weeks my mind had started to clear. It was at the point I decided to start working the program being that I hadn’t up to that point. 30 days turned into 45, which turned into 90, and I eventually did 120 days. Something I never imagined when I arrived. I put myself in every vulnerable situation I could and did everything I was asked. I dealt with demons that I didn’t even know were causing me problems.
