You know who you are! Your stuck, your hopeless, your lost,you have started to avoid mirrors (in a reflection aspect anyway ) Lol! Sorry! You don’t know how you got here and further more you don’t know how you’re going to get out! Even if you did what are you going to feel like on the other side? That was me! And I was scared to death that there was no help for me. I had drank and done drugs since I was a teenager it was part of my identity. There was no way I was going to be able to function without it! But I was deteriorating in front of my own eyes! I was no longer present for anyone! I was being eaten alive by guilt and shame. I needed help in every aspect of my being! So I did what anyone would do …… I googled….RECOVERY FOR THE MIND, BODY, AND SOUL! And that’s how I found ATMC! And that’s what it was for me. They didn’t just separate me from substances like your run of the mill treatment center and stick you in classes all day! You literally have a team that works with you everyday and every step of the way! These people have taken recovery where it needs to be in order for someone to have a chance at life again! Not only do you rid your body of the terrible poisons we decided to partake in but of all toxins! And to find out what’s going on with your body your gut your hormones and you learn the things your body is deprived of and what you need day to day with natural alternatives for your brain, energy, mood and your over all health. We were hesitant but hopeful, and 6 months later she is home and doing better than I could have imagined. The staff has been amazing; frequent communication and to have the open door policy to visit was such a change from her former RTC. It's only been a few weeks since graduating the program but she is doing well. I am thankful for their work with her and recommend for parents and girls who ate struggling. My experience wasn't too bad at all. They supplied me with the necessary items upon my arrival and a color coded uniform so others understood I was new. Different colors came with different treatment. I made some decent friends and unfortunately lost touch with them. Honestly, this place isn't for kids who just simply have bad attitudes, this place is for kids who don't know when to stop acting out and only get worse over time. I've met some girls here who had made scarier choices than me. From my experience the staff only confronted or restrained those who continued giving them attitude or tried to fight them or other girls. I personally wouldn't consider it torture, but things could have drastically changed since I've been there. They had a good amount of activities to keep every one busy and allowed the girls to make a small amount of money by working in the kitchen or other small duties. The group homes they have weren't bad at all either unless, again, you acted out massively. This place taught me that life is what you make of it and that actions will have consequences. The town of Jerome, the copper mines, we saw the Grand Canyon at least 6 times when I was there. The staff Ms. Burgess taught me to crochet. When I started to learn anll the other girls were interested and did as well. All the other staff members were like hippies, not like anything I had experienced in Cincinnati Ohio at treatment centers. So, nice. I didn’t like the psychiatrist much but in all it was an adventure there. I now have two companies. Lydia’s Lawncare and Empowered Lady Llc here in Cincinnati Ohio. Their staff has been so supportive and informative about their process. The outdoor hiking and camping is something that has truly resonated with our son. I decided to reach out to Wolf Creek to give it one last try and I'm so glad I did. I attended the PHP program for 90 days, from March through June 2026. Wolf Creek has a family atmosphere where the staff really cares and takes the time to connect with clients on a personal level. The housing was very nice and the activities are great. I felt like a kid again being able to go the the batting cages and bowling. Most importantly, I feel connected to life and people again and have lots of hope for the future and a sense of purpose. I thought I could just go for 30 days because I had worked programs before just never been to rehab. But the first two weeks I thought were a complete waste because I was so angry with myself for the position I had put myself. It wasn’t until my daughter called me and she was hurting, I was able to articulate and say just what she needed to hear. Just by being sober for a couple weeks my mind had started to clear. It was at the point I decided to start working the program being that I hadn’t up to that point. 30 days turned into 45, which turned into 90, and I eventually did 120 days. Something I never imagined when I arrived. I put myself in every vulnerable situation I could and did everything I was asked. I dealt with demons that I didn’t even know were causing me problems. The new DR. Sean is a major change from the previous DR that was there. Sean understands not everything is black and white and actually listens to you when you tell him like hey this isn't working can we try something else's, on top of actually listening to your concerns about medication he actually cares about your recovery as much as you do, I have not had one DR. Actually try to help when I said I want to be done with MAT meds, the last DR'S would basically set you up for failure so you will have to come back and be stuck. Sean will actually help you and not abandon you through the process of getting off MAT meds.He has helped this place become more hopeful for me.
