The new DR. Sean is a major change from the previous DR that was there. Sean understands not everything is black and white and actually listens to you when you tell him like hey this isn't working can we try something else's, on top of actually listening to your concerns about medication he actually cares about your recovery as much as you do, I have not had one DR. Actually try to help when I said I want to be done with MAT meds, the last DR'S would basically set you up for failure so you will have to come back and be stuck. Sean will actually help you and not abandon you through the process of getting off MAT meds.He has helped this place become more hopeful for me. You can tell he cares.... and thats the part that this clinic was missing. Southwest please hold on to this DR close. He is litterly what makes the MAT program a true recovery program. This place honestly changed my life. I have bipolar II disorder. Before coming to ATMC my meds had clunked out on me for almost 3 years and I was desperate to get help. I had been trying different medications and nothing was working. My depressive episodes got so severe to the point that I could no longer work. I knew that I needed to seek alternative help but did not know where to go. Every psychiatrist just kept upping or changing my medications and to no avail. I was tired of being a slave to psychotropics. My family found ATMC and when I was ready to go, they got me in immediately. This place is like no other. In the US, where it is common practice to be dependent on medication as an individual with bipolar disorder and to oftentimes be debilitated and unable to work, ATMC provided a completely different option for me! At ATMC they focus on a more holistic method of detoxing and nourishing the body. We went to the "detox shop" 5 days a week where we did sauna for hours, cold plunge, ionic footbaths, massage, reiki, sound healing, foot reflexology and IV treatments. They put you on a supplement protocol. This includes many different supplements a day which are hard to take at first but when you understand the benefit of these supplements, you begin to take them happily! I also loved the groups and my therapist, Christine. You meet with your therapist twice a week. Christine was incredible, very skilled and the most empathic therapist I have ever had. They also take you out daily into town for walking/hiking and Sedona is by far one of the most beautiful places I have ever encountered! No wonder everyone comes to Sedona for healing. It's magical. They also feed you a "serotonin-building diet" that is packed with all kinds of veggies (they provide protein as well) and the 4 female chefs there are incredible! By far, the most significant aspect of ATMC and what really touched me the most is the incredible staff! Every single one of them! They are all the most authentic, genuine, loving and caring people. I do not know how they managed to get all of these amazing people in one place! They will help change your life! During my time at ATMC, I got off one of my medications and substantially lowered another one. The psychiatrist helps taper you down weekly and the naturopathic doctor and detox specialist ensure that you are taking the right supplements to support you. It's been a while since my stay and I am so blessed to say that I am stable and back to living a full life again. I continue to take the supplements that are shipped to me monthly. If you are considering an alternate way of healing your body and mind, I highly recommend this place! In the end, the answer for me (and many others I met there) was a holistic combination of informed supplementation, rigorous detoxification protocols, exercise, sauna, individual CBT work, group therapy and top-notch nutrition. The grounds were clean and beautiful, accommodations homey, and the food delicious. I loved the optional daily nature outings and many sight-seeing trips around Sedona. I would recommend ATMC to anyone in medication withdrawals or poor health. I was suffering and with benzo withdrawal and wanting to end my life. Now I am thriving. (My stay was 60 days.) So incredibly nice and caring. And Pamela is an absolute saint! M 1 year ago I just transferred to the northern AZ VA system and I have been floored with how great and attentive they've been. I have mental health issues and the primary Prescott location has been super quick to get me in and talking to someone. The psychiatrist I talked to listened to me and suggested some things for me to try. I am now on a weekly therapy and different meds, when I asked them to check in after I start the meds they scheduled weekly appointments. I had my labs done last week, super quick and really easy going tech. Today I saw nurse Sara and she was lovely! Completely at ease and fun to chat with. I then saw Dr Gallagher and she was delightful. She knew my records, she asked questions and she offered some other treatment options for me. She made sure I had the assistance and appointments all down correctly and said if I need anything to reach out. I've been in the VA system for about a decade and this has been the best experience so far. Oakwood GA clinic was great but cottonwood has surpassed them. Thank you all for being there. I went into ER for a TIA. They were very professional and caring even though they were swamped. They were friendly and fast and I was seen by two doctors in less than four hours. She is struggling with her ability to stand without falling and she has other mental issues that are starting to develop. Last time we were at Verde Valley Medical they misdiagnosed my wife with drug abuse instead of a very clear mental confusion situation. My wife is 72 years old and has never taken drugs in her life. Many hospitals are uneducated about kratom. This visit was very nice! Everybody had smiles on their faces and we're dressed very neatly. The main treating doctor was dressed very nicely and was very professional. Between everybody there, they made the visit a pleasant experience for a non pleasant experience if you know what I mean. Thank you Verde Valley Medical for treating us like patients instead of drug abusers. That will always go a long ways in my book. BTW...we are starting to find that my wife has very serious neurological issues associated with the fall she had about a year and a half ago. Jimjim jim 8 months ago On July 26, 2025 I arrived at the Verde Valley Medical Center around 3 PM. Within 10 minutes I was ushered into their evaluation area where my vitals and an x-ray was taken. Immediately afterwards I was placed in a nicely appointed room where the nursing team made me very comfortable with warm towels and pain meds since I was shaking uncontrollably. This was the beginning of a top-notch emergency gallbladder removal experience. After a ultrasound & in less than 3 hours Dr. Nagaraj advised me the I needed surgery to remove my gall bladder which took place the next day. Next day the surgical nurse prepped me & assured me that Drs. Faulkner & Nagaraj would be the ones he would want to do his surgery. Afterwords the recovery room team as well as the team that handled my comfort that night were superb. Each shift’s caretakers worked together as a team whose main focus was my comfort and speedy recovery. One super efficient nurse from Virginia helped with the nausea and medications I needed to take. Another sweet nursing student worked tirelessly all night helping me to try & find a restful position. And, a kind & caring nurse’s aide from Minnesota brought humor to my otherwise awkward hospital gown situation. All in all the medical team that cared for me was the best. We drove an extra 30 minutes from Munds Park to Cottonwood as we realized that I’d wait for hours in Flagstaff’s ER. Best decision ever! Linda Shank 9 months ago	2

I saw things I never would’ve seen if I had not been placed there. The town of Jerome, the copper mines, we saw the Grand Canyon at least 6 times when I was there. The staff Ms. Burgess taught me to crochet. When I started to learn anll the other girls were interested and did as well. All the other staff members were like hippies, not like anything I had experienced in Cincinnati Ohio at treatment centers. So, nice. I didn’t like the psychiatrist much but in all it was an adventure there. I now have two companies. Lydia’s Lawncare and Empowered Lady Llc here in Cincinnati Ohio.
