Reluctant to try Polara Health due to the reviews, I tried another facility first. With a poor experience at that facility, I again consulted my primary care office and they said other patients had a good experience with Polara, so I booked some appointments.
So far, everyone I've encountered there has been great, but especially my therapist, who is the reason I came here to do a review. Eileen, who is an intern, has been nothing short of amazing! I've seen about 8 or 10 therapists in my life, and she is on a whole different level. She is compassionate, professional, incredibly focused, intuitive, appears to be genuinely non-judgmental, and knows what to say, and when to say it. She has even given me effective advice on things to try for my chronic pain, that many primary care physicians, and pain specialists have been unable to help with. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a therapist.

| Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona is a residential rehab for teen girls. Specifically, it’s for girls ages 12-17 who are struggling with drug addiction, alcohol addiction, and other behavioral health issues. The program uses something called the Sanctuary Model. It’s a model of treatment that is based on trauma | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I was sent here at age 16 from another treatment facility. My experience wasn't too bad at all. They supplied me with the necessary items upon my arrival and a color coded uniform so others understood I was new. Different colors came with different treatment. I made some decent friends and unfortunately lost touch with them. Honestly, this place isn't for kids who just simply have bad attitudes, this place is for kids who don't know when to stop acting out and only get worse over time. I've met some girls here who had made scarier choices than me. From my experience the staff only confronted or restrained those who continued giving them attitude or tried to fight them or other girls. I personally wouldn't consider it torture, but things could have drastically changed since I've been there. They had a good amount of activities to keep every one busy and allowed the girls to make a small amount of money by working in the kitchen or other small duties. The group homes they have weren't bad at all either unless, again, you acted out massively. This place taught me that life is what you make of it and that actions will have consequences. Not just for you, but others around you as well.

I don’t remember it being like any of these reviews.
I saw things I never would’ve seen if I had not been placed there. The town of Jerome, the copper mines, we saw the Grand Canyon at least 6 times when I was there. The staff Ms. Burgess taught me to crochet. When I started to learn anll the other girls were interested and did as well. All the other staff members were like hippies, not like anything I had experienced in Cincinnati Ohio at treatment centers. So, nice. I didn’t like the psychiatrist much but in all it was an adventure there. I now have two companies. Lydia’s Lawncare and Empowered Lady Llc here in Cincinnati Ohio. Things may have changed since I was there but I don’t have bad memories of this facility.

Jordan saved my life. I thought I had passed and was entering through the gates of Heaven, being greeted by none other than one of the Lord’s angels. My fears banished, pain removed, scars healed, Jordan’s loving care restored me to return to strength and keep brawling the grand brawl. Before Jordan took notice of me, helped me with his warm touch, I felt alone and hopeless each time I had cried out for assistance before. I was like a water poloist who couldn’t swim, a blade of grass trampled by Komodo dragons, a horse with no hooves. Thank you to this great place and to Jordan for going above and beyond!
